Bump.
Combine News:
RG3 runs a 4.41 40. Alshon Jeffrey doesn't run his 40.
|
As a Cowboys fan in DC, the sports radio here is a comedy goldmine to me. Everyone in the world knows the Redskins need a QB and its provided some quality radio day after day since the season ended.

Knew he was fast, didn't know he was THAT fast. Definitely gonna be a solid pick for whomever decides to go with him

What? I'm surprised he wasn't closer to 4.3 considering he's an all state track star. Though he's probably got the fastest 40time for someone at his weight (almost all 4.3 or less guys are below 200 while RGIII is way above).

Here is an overlays of Luck, Newton and RG3 in the 40. Dude's a beast!

Apparently you missed that "Get your ass to Dallas" initiative. As a skins fan I'm pretty sure our draft pick(s) is(are) going to be traded for what is likely a QB.

Sell the farm for Peyton Manning. Theres a deal right up Dan Synder's wheelhouse.

Sounds very Washingtonesque. But what about Rex Grossman? Lol jk.
I heard Dallas is going to be very aggressive in upgrading it's defense this FA and Draft. Jerry Jones' son made the announcement, and ironically while making the announcement, Terrance Newman was torched for two TDs.
I would like to see the 49ers pursue Pierre Garcon in FA. I don't think they are seriously going to chase after any of the highly touted WRs (Bowe, Johnson, Colston, Wallace, and whoever else), but I could see them making an under-the-radar type signing of a WR that turns out hopefully being super productive next season (aka: not Braylon Edwards). Garcon was somewhat streaky, but had a quality season last year as the #2 WR behind Wayne in the hodgepodge mess of QBs that was the Indianapolis Colts.
I'd also like to see the 49ers resign Dashon Goldson and Carlos Rogers, but not to very expensive long term deals. Goldson's just too streaky for my liking, and I could easily see Rogers regress to previous years' form if he gets thrown the bank at him. Hopefully Goldson gets franchised I guess.

Dallas' secondary is simply terrible. I see the Dallas needs as the following for FA/Draft:
1,2, and 3. Secondary - CB/FS/SS all need improvement. Improving their secondary will go a LONG ways in making that defense look better. 4. Depth - They need to start grooming some new blood at ILB (Sean Lee looks solid as hell but he cant play both ILB spots and James/Brookings are getting up in age) and G (Dockery and Kosier are solid but are also getting older) off the stop of my head. Also, you can never have enough good CBs in today's pass happy game.
|
Prediction:
Stafford's yardage regresses.
Thoughts?
|
Well hopefully they will figure out that the RB position exists next season, so it probably will.
And woah RG3 is fast... He's clearly going to be the greatest QB in NFL history.
|
Haven't got the time to watch all of the combine yet, damn sc2 and nba allstar week!
RG3 looked like I expected, I think Rams are the one's most happy about this. I believe Browns are going to trade up, Washington might have an edge with Fisher and Shanahan being close, but I feel that Rams are a bit afraid that Bucs will take Blackmon at nr 5.
I wish that teams could draft coaches and GM's, that would be nr 1 priority on my Chargers list. I hope they land a good WR, Floyd looked good, but I think we are going for yet another pass rusher that wont make a difference.

4.41 is simply amazing considering RG3 is 6'2/220. For comparison, the fastest QB's after RG3 were Vick (4.33) and Reggie McNeal (4.40, but was moved to WR).

I feel like Miami will go all out on securing Manning if he goes FA. They need a solid QB and someone that sells tickets. If they are not succesful in getting Manning I see them trying to get Ryan Tannehill or Case Keenum.
|
That does sound like something that Snyder would do to get a star player, and the Rams would probably take that deal if this was offered since they have many holes that need to be filled.
10 more days until Manning leaves the Colts as Irsay will decline his option.

I hope so, I would hate to get a Manning on the downhill for a stupid pricetag.
