I wonder what he did to get kicked. Weed again I'd venture a guess.

Bama and LSU both lose important parts of their defense on the same day. Obv it stings LSU way more but its funny.

-_- some oaf landed on EJ Manuels ankle and now it's swollen. Clint Trickett is looking better but we still haven't had a star quarterback in years. At least Manuel should be back before season starts.

Geaux Tigers!
Mathieu leaving isn't a huge loss. We got tons of young talent that can fill his spot with ease.

The AP poll isn't as confident as you are, sorry to say. Idk though USC over Alabama? I disagree
For the record, right here on the first page, FSU was waaay over ranked last year and it's the same story this year. I love my team more than I love many things but I have no garnet and gold tinted glasses to disguise what will happen to us this year. If we go 9-3 I'll be happier than I have been in a decade. If we do better I'll kiss somebody.

Michigan is way too high. Hoke did a phenomenal job last year, but I'm only expecting 9 wins this year - anything else will be a bonus. 8th in the country? Absurd. Wisconsin and (sigh) Ohio State will probably be better just in the B1G.

I can't wait for the season to begin again! Boise State vs my Spartans is going to be a good game.

Going to be interesting how they both play with a new QB

oh yea! Hook'em! Longhorns ranked too high but can't really complain. Hopefully we can get 10 wins this year.

Hate to be a homer but no love for the Georgia Tech Virginia Tech game for being noteworthy? The winner of it has always (since the ACC has split into two divisions) gone on to play in the ACC title game.

BSU fan here. Look for them to really surprise throughout the season. A lot of people probably think they're going to fall off the map because Moore is gone, but BSU has really gotten to the point where they reload instead of rebuilding. Don't be surprised if they beat Mich. St convincingly.

I can see why USC is currently ranked ahead Alabama, even as an Alabama fan I can tell you that the team has it's work cut out for them.
USC is returning all it's major starters and has veteran QB Matt Barkley who will be a Heisman contender for sure this year. With a strong defence and a strong Offensive line I predict that the Trojans will likely make it to the National Championship Unscathed because of the relative weakness of the PAC-12 this upcoming season. Oregon and Stanford will be strong however severely weakened by the loss of their key players, Washington is a toss up who will likely finish 8-4, but could make a splash.
Meanwhile in the SEC the title is still being contested between the major powerhouses Alabama, LSU and Geogia. Even the lesser ranked teams in this conference may become a roadblock in the big 3's path to the championship. Southern Carolina is always dangerous and even Arkansas has been known to knock off some title contenders. Just look at the comparisons between the amount of teams in the top 25. Using the AP poll there are 6 SEC teams alone in the top 25, while the PAC-12 only has 3. If this doesn't show the difference in conference competition then I don't know what does.
Looking at my favourite and defending champion Alabama, I am excited to see what A.J. McCarron can do with some new talent coming in the wideout and RB positions. The only concern to me will be the defence, but one thing I have come to notice is that Nick Saban gets the best defensive recruits and turns his offensive ones into dangerous weapons. My only worry is whether or not the DC who has done an amazing job will return and continue his level of coaching once again. Hopefully he wont be lured away to the NFL for a long time to come because he is the reason Alabama wins games.
I predict now that the National Championship will be between USC and Alabama with USC being 13-0 and Alabama being 12-1 losing to either LSU or Georgia, and then returning the favour in the SEC championship game.

That's an interesting prediction and a great analysis Leftwing. I worry that the weaker PAC 12 will be USCs undoing. They certainly could go 13-0. I'm pulling for them the minute FSU falls out of the top 10 to make it to the championship (and not a moment before ).

Added, sorry I neglected it!

I don't think Barkley will win the Heisman. If you look at the past few winners (RG3, Ingram, Newton), they have been players who pretty much carry their teams. Barkley has tons of weapons behind him, which will deter voters.
I think the Heisman winner will be Logan Thomas from VT or Marcus Lattimore from SC (that guy was a beast before he tore his knee).

It would be nice to finally see USC play an SEC team. Preferably LSU or Alabama.
Notre Dame looks like they have fun schedule this year: Michigan, Stanford, at Oklahoma, at USC
