really cool concept ^^ maybe you guys can expand over to the NA server if there are good results. good luck!

If you are hosting on EU then wouldn't it make more sense to put the price in Euros?
Also, I couldn't see anything about having to pay to participate, does that mean it's free?
Final question, can you opt for a lower prize, i.e. I'm Plat, if i win i don't want $3, would rather have an hour of someone screaming at me to spend my money

Hi, Thanks for showing interest!
We chose dollars because we feel it has become the standard starcraft 2 prize currency and is the most used on similar tournament sites.
It is free to participate in all of our tournaments unless specified otherwise.
We opt to host as many cash tournaments as possible. We believe that this will attract more players in general, and give them a real sense of value for time. However, if a winner would want coaching instead of a given cash prize, this can of course be arranged.
Hope to see you compete soon!

I registered at your site but it hasn't sent me an activation email yet...

There was a problem with the mail server, many user either did not recieve the registration mail or got the "Could not instantiate mail function." As a temporary solution to this we have now disabled the registration mail and everybody should be able to log in.

Why do most online EU tournaments start so late? 2000 CEST... that's already 2100 here in Finland, if a tournament runs 3+ hours it's already past midnight
I am glad to see more people (groups w/e) adding tournaments. Especially with $ prizes and several different leagues etc!
Will probably sign up when I don't have an early class the next day.

Finals have now been running for 15 mins. We believe that a tournament will not exceed midnight at any time.
The replays from the finals can be found after the tournament.

I've adminned/casted well over 50 small tournaments (up to 64 players) with BO1 up to RO8 where RO8 on is BO3. I can promise you that all it takes is one long TvT/ZvT or something and you can have a whole side of the bracket held by over an hour. If this happens twice on the same side, you can very easily have a tournament go over the 4 hour mark (even with less than 32 players).
Now sure this isn't going to happen every time, but it will happen sometimes, so you have to think about that for our poor Eastern European friends
Good luck with it

Oh well, the first open tournament I have ever won! :D
Really cool initiative, and good job from the admins. Also got the prize money almost instantly ^^
And about the timing, I guess it's hard to suit everyone, but there is a lot of gamers who stay up late. Also there are tournaments like go4sc2 which starts at 18:00 CEST, Playhem 19:00 CEST, so I think 20:00 is not bad so it doesn't overlap too much with others. I was actually waiting really long time after the first round today, and started my 2nd round after around 1hour gone, but still the whole tournament got finished fairly quickly. I guess it's going to get longer when more people start signing up, though.

Thanks to all the players attending our tournaments this week. We appreciate all the feedback and the kind words. This week has served the purpose of pointing out some areas that need optimization. This will lead to an even greater user experience, and better tournaments in the future!

Cool site guys, looks good. How come you only operate on BnetEU?! Do you have any streaming section on the site?
Hope to see you expand to NA-servers!
