The LoL World Championships had a LOT of problems, but they went big. They failed in a lot of ways, but they did have colorful interviews, panels talking about the games, and a continuing story build throughout the tournament. BWC is like a flavorless pudding. It's not bad, but it just leaves you feeling hungry for more.

This is blizzard's flagship tournament and it looks the same or even worse as any other ran tournament. Blizzard could throw all the money they want at this tournament, but money does nothing if the people hired can't do the job properly. I think it was a mistake for blizzard to host this in china. Should have hosted this in the states or....canada! Should have just given it to dreamhack to host.

And on the games, Illusion with that sick ass move that just didn't quite work but was BAD ASS

There were two (albeit major) problems. 1: The internet issues in the venue (which wasn't the venue, but LA's internet infrastructure coming down for a bit) 2: The minimap incident. Overall, it was a VERY well produced event.

Titan spawns top right, herO spawns bottom left. HerO goes for blink play. Titan follows, getting his twighlight council later, just after HerO has started his blink research. Titan considers taking the offensive, but after sizing up herO's army he retreats and expands. HerO blinks into TitaN's base but TitaN defends and HerO is forced to retreat after taking some sizable losses. Titan then takes to the offensive, pressuring HerO's newly constructed natural while moving to colossus tech. Titan is rewarded an observer kill for his efforts. After titan's colossus is out with thermal lance he baits HerO's stalkers to the back of his base by blinking in some stalkers and then hits the front of HerO. HerO sticks around due to some good colossus control but Titan is in a commanding lead, he takes a third and when maxed and +3 attack moves in for the kill.

No, the major problems were players looking at the game screen and the internet disconnecting midgame... twice, leading to a 5 day bo3
