Hi TL tech gosus,
I've been using my Sensei for a while now, and all of a sudden, once in a while, it moves very slowly and inaccurately. It kind of feel like the pointer precision enhancer is on, but it isn't. I'm very lost and I'd like to fix it without buying a new one since they are pretty expensive.
I've tried unplugging replugging, rebooting machine, standard stuff, but obviously I think the problem is bigger than this
help ! XD

Tryed unsing another mouspad? I have one myself and they are god damn god on them.

Now when I tried to update the steelseries engine, it couldn't read my mouse at all (was saying Please plug in a compatible steelseries hardware or something like that.)
I gave up on trying to save my mouse, now my question is more like, if I go buy one tomorrow, does anybody know if it's gonna work with steelseries engine or is it just fucked overall on my pc and I should buy another brand, because I'm really used to the Sensei now :/ and I have CW tomorrow.
Please lmk :S

My sensei works with the engine. I used to have a merc keyboard from them, and it worked as well. IDK what the deal was with your first sensei though. I did a quick search but couldn't find anything about the issue.

Try cleaning the lens. I had the same, had it up to 1600 dpi because it felt slow and sluggish. I clean the sensor, and I had to go down to 800 dpi to get the same sentitivity. Don't know about the driver issue though, I know I have to close the engine when not using it to change a setting because it will crash when launching games that try to get hardware mouse input, making the whole computer lagg, and the first times I used it it told me the same as you, but worked nonetheless.

Probably some shit stuck on the lens as Nimix says.
Edit: No idea why the software is fucking up. It's sometimes a little sluggish loading for me (when I turn it on), but never had any actual problems.

My mouse also could not be detected by the SteelSeries engine. I just uninstalled and reinstalled and now it works as it did before. I would suggest doing that. Hope it helps

Had that problem on my Xai before (now using Sensei too).
Turned out to be a lump of dust on the lens. Give it a good blow

The Sensor on the sensei is very sensitive to any dirt, hair, dust, etc. that you get on it,iirc. Check if the sensor is clean of any debris. I can't really speak too much on the software though, I uninstalled it after I got the onboard thing working.

After updating the engine I had the same problem, it wouldnt recognize the mouse (got Sensei like you). So I uninstalled and installed (the newest version) and also changed the USB port for the mouse. Now it works. Try that, see if it works for you.
As for your other problem: try cleaning the mousepad and the sensor.

I cleaned my lens with a slightly damp toothbrush head, (that i wasn't using), And it's back too normal.
