so its a carnival because we win cool icons and magic powers on site or...?

This is great! Thanks for this, I must say that I honestly think a D through C rank tournament might be nice as well, just because anything can happen and there could be some nice upsets and some surprises.
|
Sounds fun, dunno if I'll be awake in time for it though!

These kind of ordinary ladder tours are often hosted on the server during the week, they're not too special. Hence the focus on AB Tours and Beginner Events.

D/C tour is meaningless anyways...
How many legit D/C players have won the D/C rank tour anyways..... TT

It's not like the meaning of these tours is to find the-best-of-the-selected-group-of-players-not-yet-good-enough-to-be-the-better-rank and give them some money .) that's just the excuse .p

Unfortunately, this issue will always arise in tournaments where there is a skill cap while simultaneously, there is the axiom of "may the best player win". The point for most of the players is to challenge themselves in seeing how far they can push themselves up the bracket, whereas someone at the top of the spectrum of skill is almost certainly going to be going for the win. Because no two people are perfectly evenly matched, there is no way to balance this situation to make it "fair", other than to cease having any D tournaments altogether. The goal for any participant should be to improve his or her skill-set and ultimately, get to the point where they break into the yellow ranks.

I don't think I've ever joined a tour on iccup with the intention of winning it. It's nice practice, that's pretty much it.
