NoFe: I had to take care of myself in the 2013 Winter Season and I will proceed into a new important time. As a fact there were really many reasons but after passing through RO16, 8 and 4 team mates didn’t have any problems to increase their skill capability but I think that myself lacked the skill and felt sorry for the team. I wish that from next season on Najin will have a Jungler with better skill than me to reach the final stage and sweep everybody. That’s all.
Q: Recently many progamer colleagues have retired. What do you think is the reason for that?
NoFe: I think the biggest problem is mental. The so called first generation progamer was really poor and hard but became a progamer without competition. Now it’s a do or die competition and the players who came out of it with hard work are feeling a lot of pressure. I think so.
When one overcame the pressure and the fans acknowledge it then one tries 2, 3 times harder but it isn’t easy. If you fail in front of many fans you get frustrated but you are too young to overcome it.
Incidentally it is important to adapt to the meta changes but if you want to catch up once you are behind hard work, talent and time is needed. It would be nice if fans could understand this . This would be very helpful.
Q: last Season you dropped out in the round of 4. This was very sad…
NoFe: Personally I had high expectation and prepared hard for this season. (Weird metaphor which means I always thought every moment could be my 'last' game, so I played very hard. So I feel sad.)
Of course personally it was a sad season but I would be happy if my team mates could get the chance to go up where they belong. They were always hungry for a victory.
Q: Your best memory from pro gamer life?
NoFe: This season where we won Quarterfinal, Semifinal and 3rd palce match will be a vivid memory for me.
Teammates who helped me when I lacked the skills I will think of you. I am sorry and thank you.
Against Xenics Storm in RO8 match when we had the great comeback against them this can be a good memory for me when my life gets hard and painful that I can stand back up and fight on
Q: Now you arent Nofe anymore but Jeong Nocheol. Your retirement thoughts?
NoFe: Firstly its bittersweet. For short two years I walked the path of a progamer which was a dream since I was a child so I will remember this time with joy.
Even though I never won a big title, I got to meet many great people I am happy about that.
From MVP where I started to Najin I have many people I am thankful for from now on I will life with more energy thinking of them.
Q: Any plans?
NoFe: Before I knew the day I longed for came but now the day is here and I don’t want to leave E-Sports. Therefore I am looking for what I can do best in this area. Park Jeongseok and CEO Lee Seokjin who cared for me and helped me I want to let them know thank you.
Q: Last things you want to say.
NoFe: I want to say once again thank you to the fans who will remember NoFe.
I think right now I am more comfortable with NoFe instead of my real name. Sorry to let you know about my retirement in this way.
For progamers the best way to repay the fans is to show a good performance in the next Season but I can’t repay you in that way. So I feel sorry about that. But since my age isn’t that high I hope to repay you in an area where I am better at once I found it. So please continue to cheer me one for some time Thank you very much.
