After every SC2 match, you have points to spend in SC2 Coach, which runs parallel to SC2.
Every point for an attribute which didn't work that well in the recent match. So if your scouting was bad last game - spend it on scouting. Overmins? Spend it on overmins aswell. For every attribute you can only spend one point every match. The higher the value of one attribute, the more you need to focus on.
If an attribute goes to 5 or higher, the mainfunction of the Program becomes available. It can remind you from now on (with the value >= 5) constantly with a OSD-font and/or voice. + Show Spoiler +Note:
- It only reminds you if it makes sense to remind, attributes like "Gameknowledge" or "Decisionmaking" doesn't.
They won't show up.
- If Something went well and you have no points to spend on it, it will decrease by 1.
- Your weaknesses and strengths are always up to date.
Day[9]-Mode constant Workerproduction, Overmins, Supplyblocks, the Minimap and ScoutingMechanics-Mode Decisionmaking, Engagement, Knowledge, Overmins, Reaction, Scouting, Supplyblocks, Composition, Upgrades
- Extract the downloaded zip-archive
- Second step:
- If you are new to SC2 Coach you can skip step 2 and move on to step 3.
- If you used SC2 Coach v0.9.4 or higher, move the config.xml-file of your older version into your extracted folder to import your saved attributes & settings.
To prevent issues better delete the folder of your old version.
- If you used SC2 Coach below v0.9.4 it needs a bit more time.
If you want to keep your saved attributes & settings, open the old config.xml from the old folder. Then start the new version of SC2 Coach, it will create a new config.xml. Close SC2 Coach and edit new config.xml manually by rightclick/edit -or rightclick/open with notepad. Import the saved values from your old config.xml to your new config.xml. -->> Do it manually, only change the values, not the names. Save the config.xml(ctrl+s). To prevent issues better delete the folder of your old version.
- To start the program, run SC2 Coach.exe.
NOTE: I'm not a verified developer, so Windows Defender can show up at the first start. If this happens, allow the program to start. To confirm the program is virusfree, feel free to check it, with the antivir of your trust, for example at http://virustotal.com
This program is my very first in C#. I chose this as a project to prepare myself for my soon-starting apprenticeship as IT Specialist of Application Development. Lots of love, time and swet are invested in SC2 Coach.
I really wish this program will help you on the road to improve. If you have any feedback, ideas or requests for this program, feel free to write me at sc2coach@outlook.com Thank you for thinking about using SC2 Coach. Greetings, David
If you tried SC2 Coach it would be a pleasure for me to read comments about your experiences. That helps the program to improve, thanks!
SC2 Coach works great in combination with .

I didn't see the first post. This looks like a good idea, though I don't really see what is the actual effect, and how the system of points affects it. I may give it a try and give you some feedback this week end.
|
This would be nice, thanks AbouSV Please keep in Mind, the remindfunction starts on attribute's value >=5, so maybe you want to change attributes to 5 in the XML, if you directly want to test OSD/voiceremind.

I was trying this program today. The only thing I find good about it is that it takes me automatically out of starcraft after I finish a ladder game, so that I cannot start another game just as I finish the previous one. (a losing streak usually starts when I just play game after game)
A bug I must submit: I played a random opponent, and this program told me the race of my random opponent. In other words, it allows cheating. I suggest you turn off the cast of the races if you can't figure out that it was a random player, as otherwise this program allows cheating.

Hello bulya, thanks for your Feedback.

Well, I'm glad to hear I stopped your losing streak, BUT this Program is supposed to collect your current issues (for this you give the points after the matches, and if a Value goes to 5 (or higher) to remind you ingame. I'm sorry that you don't like that, but that IS what the program is good for. If you don't want to use that function you might don't want to use SC2 Coach

Well, this can't be true. It only reads out lout the Gamestate which is explained here. If a Random Player shows up in a 1v1, he says "Random", not the Race the Randomplayer plays. So it's definitly not cheating. Thanks for testing it out! Greetings and have a nice day, David.

Well, may be terran sounds similar to random, but I heard terran when my opponent was a random player, and eventually turned out that he spawned as a terran. I'll let you know if it happens again, but I suggest you test it as well.
As a software engineer I know how bugs come to life, and as frustrating as it is, testing out what the QA team finds is vital so that there won't be any bugs which make the program unsuitable for use. And there are always bugs, its about how crucial they are.

Yes, I agree with that. I'll keep an eye on that. Hey, would you have liked a request at the very first start of the program, if it starts with all attributes from zero, so you need at least 5 games to get reminded from the 6th - and between the option to get started with the value 5 that it'll activate the remindfunction at the first game already? So the waitingtime till the mainfunction comes to play would be minimized and the user hasn't to edit the xml file manually to skip this waitingtime.
Update: I have "played" now about 50 games vs random-ai, It wasn't possible for me to reconstruct that situation, that SC2 Coach tells the race of the random player.

The version has been updated to 0.9.5. I hope you enjoy it, from now on it has a configuration wizard at the first start that brings the option to get reminded from the first match on

Hey David,
This program helps me very well to improve my skills in Starcraft 2. The longer I train with this program, the more safer becomes my Gameplay. It is fun to work with this program, because of all the little successes after every game. Im excited how great the program works and how functional it is.
I wish you all the very Best, Fantasia

Hey Fantasia, Thanks for your support, for the feedback and for using SC2 Coach. I'm really glad SC2 helps you to improve and that you actually see your improvement after using it for only a few days. In combination with gg-tracker to monitor your spendingquotient (Saturationspeed seems broken in LotV on ggtracker) I feel, is a good way to use SC2 Coach. I share similar thoughts of improvements, few days ago my workerproductionvalue at SC2 Coach hit 15 - I focussed especially on that, now it's at zero - I don't get reminded anymore - and it's acutally working without the reminds now. Hope I can keep that, at my current league I can afford to NOT cut the workerproduction versus allins - and in PvT these days at gold, 80-90% terrans seem to allin toss, at least push hard between 3:30 and 5:00 and if it fails, expand after. No clue why they do this, if you chrono out the Warpgateresearch and make the Robo before Twilight it's quite easy to hold I feel. Well, gold is not the world. Back to topic: Thanks for using it Fantasia! Best, David

Hi, i downloaded this but for some reason it isn't working when i click on it it nothing happens am i missing something when i downloaded it?
|
Hi ForBalin1, did you extract the zip-archive and started SC2 Coach.exe? Don't wonder if Windows Defender pops up at this point, this happens because I'm not a verified developer. If you allow the program to start, it will work. To be sure it's virus-free: checked at virustotal.com I hope this answered the question. Thanks for testing the program! Greetings, David

Hi Alon, glad you like it, that's a nice start in the day for me, thanks ! I know this issue, my girlfriend (testing since 0.6.8) reported this once aswell. I'm working on Version 0.9.6 and will release it today. It will be only the SC2 Coach.exe, so you don't have the issue with overwriting the config.xml and losing saved stats or using the wrong xml, etc. Also I will include a Readme, the installationguide in there should prevent issues like this. I hope you'll try it and show patience. Also I hope it'll solve your issue. If this won't solve it, PM me, so we can find the solution via Teamviewer. Greetings, David

Are the alerts in this program 'smart' i.e. does it only warn you regarding supply if you're close to getting supply blocked? Or does it warn you of overmins only when your minerals get too high? How high is too high? ect.

Hi Hungry, No, the alerts are not triggered by a detectionalgorhytm, this would come close to cheating. The Program alerts by a timerhytm you choose in the settings. It's designed to train your brain to get used to remember these points. I hope this answered your question. Have a nice day, David
