Description: The terrazine on Bel'Shir has enhanced the planet's native viruses. A deadly plague spreads among all lifeforms, and your every beleaguered action comes at a cost. Suffer through it and emerge victorious.
Map: Mist Opportunities
Mutations:
Black Death [New!] Some enemy units carry a plague that deals damage over time and spreads to other nearby units. The plague spreads to your units when the enemy unit is killed.
Micro Transactions Giving commands to your units costs resources based on the unit's cost.
Ugh, Micro Transactions again! Really dislike that one. Also means I'll probably just play this mutation once and be done. Sounds like a easy one for Stukov so probably just cheese it with him.
glad i farmed the rest of my mutation completion achievement on ulnar new year. i agree with sidian probably just going to beat this once and sit the rest of the week out
Did it thrice now. Twice with Nova and once with Karax. Karax static defence is a no brainer here since buildings are unaffected by plague and there are some really neat positions to place your static defence. With Nova I invested all mastery points into her and ran around killing shit with Nova and airstrike. Used a few tanks to place mines, but never used them offensively. To be honest this mutation has been really easy so far, but you can't really go into an a-move strategy unless you have a really good economy.
Said I was only going to play until I beat this one once. Played Stukov both times just because why not, easy right?
First game I got paired with....a level 1 zagara that claimed the mutation was easy. I should have just left but whatever why not. We got about 1/2 way through it with me completely carrying everything. We were against the good ol' ling/bling/scourge so it was a nightmare. Got my main mineral line infested one time and just decided to let everything die and rebuild my scv line. Eventually just lost too many vessels.
Second game, got paired with a level ~70ish Karax and it was a joke. I just went bass bunkers, he went mass cannons, got both objectives easily, defended everything easily. Now we wait til next week! :p
yeah I tried once with Raynor paired with a Vorazun although that backfired when my cloak banshee calldown got teleported back over my main CC and infected all my scvs lol. second time just queued as Karax and got paired with a Stukov who basically just soloed the whole mission with civilians while I made a few cannons in the pathways and manner nexused the enemy base. it's not even a mutation for stukov

Yeah, playing Stukov with a good Karax ally and this becomes a fairly easy mutation. Cannons (big and small) + spear of Adun abilities stop most waves in any case.
Stukov: His units mostly don't care about Black Death. You can also simply rally to minimize the effects of Microtransactions.
Karax: A static-defense based army can ignore Black Death. If you go this route, you'll most easily win the mutation, but you'll have troubles clearing the map and the bonuses.
Raynor: Bio-mine is good here with good control. You'll lose a lot of units, but you can always re-make them with infinite Mule energy.
Abathur: Mass Mutalisks can mostly ignore Black Death with their HP regeneration. Struggles in the first few waves, however.
Swann: Long-range units and Turrets are resistant to Black Death.
Nova: Raven/Tank are the key units here and you can use them out of range of enemies due to Mines. Struggles a lot more against air, however.
Zagara: Her army is very resilient to Black Death, but it's incredibly difficult to use Zagara and keep her alive.
Alarak: Ascendants can technically kill everything out of range, but if you make one mistake, your entire army dies.
Kerrigan: Her army doesn't lose HP in Nydus worms, but she struggles throughout without support and as always, has poor options against air.
Artanis: Tempets can technically kill everything out of range, but if you make one mistake, your entire army dies.
Vorazun: When Vorazun's units die, they get teleported back to your base and your probes get infected.
