Just finished watching the vod, really happy that soO made it out in second (but I should've known ) but I'm also quite disappointed with Dark. The second map vs Classic how recklessly and stubbornly he was baiting out ff's with banes instead of lings, not showing much patience at all and going 2 times, again, stubbornly ling ravager vs roaches vs soO ugh. Thinking back I think I was actually more annoyed than disappointed.
Inno was just being Inno, still on top of it and Classic.. 2-0, 1-2, 1-2, that's gotta hurt..

I'm pretty sure sOs will try his best not to lose to Bunny.
I'm assuming you mean KeeN, cuz I don't think Bunny will have a chance to see sOs in that group.
sOs vs Bunny would be a top match though
I personally don't mind to see sOs vs Bunny and it might be an interesting match, but Bunny has to pass Maru first, so unfortunately I won't be able to see him get bullied by sOs this season.
Dark just abdicated the Zerg throne after his abysmal performance yesterday and soO isn't up to replacing him. Protoss doesn't really have anyone who can consistently stand up to Terran, though herO is probably the closest. Terran has the opposite problem, with the Triumvirate of INnoVation, TY, and Maru, but nobody stands out enough to assume the throne unopposed.
Though Inno is pretty much the heir presumptive (but not the heir apparent) to the Terran throne, by virtue of his current form.

eh, I've felt he was overrated for some time now. However, I try to be fair and I'd say he's still narrowly the best Zerg, based on gameplay (he at least put up competitive games against Bogus in a bo11 and DID qualify for IEM). Depends heavily on how much further soO goes imo.
Coming into this season and really with the fall of Life in general it's always been a three-way fight between Dark, soO, and ByuL with Solar and Rogue on the periphery.

there wasn't a single Zerg close to Dark's level for most of LotV

There was no 3-way fight in 2016. Dark was at the top, Solar was trying his best to outdo him but it didn't really work. Everyone else you mentioned couldn't even make a top 8 offline before 3.8.0, they were non-factors in the fight for the Zerg throne.
