Updated the ruleset and maplist!
I hope everyone is excited for this weekends tournament and cast!
Rules:
- ICCUP Competitive Rules apply: (Wiki)Competitive_Rules
- Map Banning will be done via Smash.GG website. Each Round will have different maps, please pay attention. The Map Banning process will be the same as Smash Melee (I’m trying something here). Order: A player bans 1 map, then B player bans 2, then A bans 1, then last map is map to be played on. Loser of first map picks 2nd map after winner bans 1. Salty runbacks are allowed (Salty Runback: A loser can re-pick a map they have lost on, however if a player has won on that map, they cannot pick it again).
- Map pool: Fighting Spirit, Circuit Breaker, Demian, Icarus, Neo Jade
- Players must check-in within 10 minutes after round starting, there is a dialogue box on Smash.gg website to check-in, engage it by clicking on your match. There's a chat box available to chat with your opponent.
- Each round lasts one hour, do not be late to the first round and stay aware by joining the ICCUP Channel name "HaveAtYou" during the time of the tournament.
- Report results after each match, both winner & loser should confirm on Smash.gg.
- Replays must be submitted after the series is complete by the winner of the series! Submitting a replay will be done by emailing to Schamtoo@gmail.com with subject "Have At You" and which match is being submitted.
- If a player disconnects during the first 2 minutes of a game they will be granted a re-match. Any problems arising will be revised case-by-case.
- As of now, we have no limit on what races can be played.
- tldr; Go to smash.gg, click your match, check-in, ban maps, pick race, chat if you need to on there or iccup lobby, play match, record results, continue through series, after series email. Here's a nice gif of the process: http://imgur.com/a/pCG59

I think it's 22:00 CET if i do my math right. +8 from my current time zone... I can adjust next tournament if it's a massive cause of people not playing.
|
EDIT: I wrote some stuff about the time and date function but I realized that you already used it correctly. I think the problem is that you have it written as PST and not PDT ? Is that even a thing? I know that I had to start writing times as EDT instead of EST.
|
It's because we just had daylight savings time and fucked up the timezones again. Honestly it's such a stupid gimmick here in the USA but nobody wants to change it.

Order: A player bans 2 maps, then B player bans 2, then A bans 1, then last map is map to be played on. Shouldn't this be 1 - 2 - 1 if the map pool is only 5 maps?
|
Oh yeah, good point. Will adjust.
|
Shouldn't we start like 20:00 CET max? I mean 22:00 CET sounds like the finals are going to be played at 3:00 AM or later.

Loser of first map picks 2nd map after winner bans 1. Salty runbacks are allowed. So if I lose, in the first step my opponent bans a map, then from the rest I can choose?
Salty runbacks are allowed.
Mainly used within the Fighting Game Community, a Salty Runback is the act of losing a match in a fighting game and angrily demanding a rematch from your opponent. The resulting rematch is a Salty Runback It doesn`t even mean anything (even in your community)...
|
Salty Runback is described in the ruleset, as I've always heard the term used: A loser of a map can pick that map again.
|
As for the time, I have moved the tournament forward two hours.
ANNOUNCEMENT: Have At You! now starts at Saturday, Mar 18 7:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00)
|
I didn't find the information anywhere, but how many games will be played per round? Is it Bo3, Bo5?
|
Registered! What time CET is this? I thought 1-2pm or something but comments guessing evening 23cet :O Hopefully I'll be there in time, pretty big cap though :D
|
It's BO3 Single Elimination for this first tournmanet, may change for future tournaments.
CET I believe it's 8PM CET
