Description : Amon's champion seethes with power. His supplicants offer their lives up to the rite, but their serivce does not end there. Reanimators are on hand to return them to service in an endless, violent cycle. You must protect the First Nagger or else all will be lost.
Map: Chain of Ascension
Mutations:
Avenger Enemy units gain increased attack speed, armor, and life when nearby enemy units die.
Void Reanimators Void Reanimators wander the battlefield, bringing your enemies back to life.
Tried this a few times with Kerrigan, Vorazun and Alarak. Vorazun can be pretty hit or miss going with DT's. I had a straight auto-loss once against airtoss. WTH am I gonna do against 10 super void rays 7 min into the mission D:
Alarak was by far the best for me. He's slow to start for sure, but If you can take your nat and start piling up Ascendants he's crazy strong. Their mind blast is super good for dealing with the powered up units. I was lucky to have a great Zagara partner as well.
So far only been paired with Novas who want to just do their own solo thing. Couldn't clear the 3rd hybrid spawn alone with raynor. Bio got pooped on solo and everything went super

No.
Serious this second wave is such bullshit. I was just playing stukov with a swann ally and we were doing great. Had a fricken unbreakable defense of bunkers and tanks then what happens... wave 2 hits with dozens of DTs which of course got buffed by avenger as everything BUT them died instantly to our defense. How are we supposed to "scout" dt's coming in this shit? And we are two commanders who have to specifically tech to detection. GG.
Edit: Managed to beat it, stukov with a good vorazun ally. Time stop/vortex are amazing for CCing the units that get too powerful of course.
I think stukov is good here? Bunkers are pretty good at surviving the early pressure and the brutalisk/alexander cooldowns help with the first hybrid and the OP second wave. In the late game his constant pressure works for clearing the map.
In the long run I think we won because the enemy comp was terran Bio/Medivac/Tank with no detection so vorazun was able to just steam roll with dt/corsair after we stabilized.

It was still bugged when I played this mutation earlier. Unfortunately patch 3.13 has no mention of Chain of Ascension 2nd attack wave. Still unbelievable because it has been around since at least december and even the baneling double dmg took a while to fix.
As for this mutation, it was pretty hectic but fine in the end. I read somewhere that you could destroy all buildings on the map to disable reanimators spawn which worked. Still not easy since I was against mech terran which is pretty nasty with avenger buff. I played as Kerrigan with a Nova ally.

It definitely feels like one of those mutators where once you survive the early chaos, finishing the rest of the map feels comparatively easy.
wew finally beat it as raynor with an alarak partner. both seemed pretty strong for this mutation might even be better to do the vulture style but idk i dont do it much. just bunkered up front entrance to start. get big enough army to take expansions. bunker those up and added a few tanks behind them wtih missile turrets. just took our time clearing the map. Raynor's call downs are extremely powerful and the 2nd wave isnt too bad if you save them for that
Finally beat it as Vorazun with a damn good Alarak ally. I simply pumped VoidRays and assigned them to his army while using cannons as mineralsink. Then pushed forward everytime I had a TimeStop available.
I did it with a 14 fenix as abathur, he went mass carriers. The guy I played with was really good but carriers struggled a bit with avenged units towards the end. It was vs protoss robo so I guess it was one of the easier comps we could have gotten. http://lotv.spawningtool.com/27991/
