ByuN and Ryung entered the mid game even on supply, but Ryung’s attack on ByuN's third bought him an advantage that kept widening. ByuN tried a last-ditch counterattack with a sizeable marine force, but was shut down. He typed out, putting Team INnoVation up 1-0.
Next up was Hurricane who tried to crack Ryung's defenses with a two base blink attack. Ryung managed to hold firm, though, and even launched a counter drop that unpowered Hurricane's gates before wiping out Hurricane's army.
Going for his third win, Ryung faced off against jjakji. The game swung back and forth, with both players taking supply leads, but a doom drop in jjakji's main combined with an attack on his natural did enough damage to force jjakji from the game.
Ryung turned to mech against Leenock. Leenock teched to brood lords, but Ryung killed bases while composing a counter. With the series on the line, Ryung's thors, vikings and tanks proved more than enough to overwhelm Leenock's hive tech army and take the match.
Hush gave team soO a 1-0 lead as his higher immortal and adept count paired with a fast mothership barrelled into Creator's third, overwhelming his zealots and archons.
Patience and Hush entered the midgame on even footing, but a multipronged attack on Hush's fourth and natural killed 15 workers and Hush's fourth. Hush scrambled to recover, but was too far behind and quickly succumbed.
Impact went for a ravager/queen contain in the third game, but all he could do after that was build more ravagers. He attacked into Patience's third over and over, but immortals eventually won out, giving Patience another win.
Patience quashed Classic's dark templar harass while teching into archons and harassing with a warp prism. Up 30 supply, Patience dealt the final blow with a flow of charge zealots into Classic's natural.
soO halted Patience's run with a quick ling flood on Defender's Landing. Patience tried to wall off, but could do nothing to stem the tide and prevent soO from taking the game.
Super opened up with archon drops, but did little more than force roaches from soO. Having added in hydralisks and lurkers, soO attacked Super’s fourth, unable to deliver the killing blow,. the game morphed into a basetrade. With soO more than doubling his supply and his zealots cleaned up, Super left the game.
With neither Curious or soO able to gain a decisive advantage during a ling/bane war, the game moved to roach vs roach. soO was the aggressor, piling into Curious third over and over until he had finally broken through. soO's third victory was the fourth for his team, setting up a match against Team INnoVation to determine who will get a direct route to the finals.
