It was brought to our attention, that some players still seach for teams or teams search for players for the upcoming BWCL reboot. To help out, the BWCL Administration will hot a fun tournament: 2on2 with random allies.
The full information can be read up in the link provided above.
Date: Sunday 24th September, 15:00 CET Sign Ups: Post on the BWCL Forum Maps: Gaia, Vampire, Python, Hannibal, Troy ( Download )
Streamlink and download of the maps will be available shortly.
Remember: Anyone is welcome, regardless of skill - it is most important you simply have fun and maybe find people to form a team with!
Cheers, The BWCL Team.

so mates are added randomly ? first it sounds like super fun, but when i think about it, if a B- gets a D- as mate its just ending in frustration xD
|
it could also happen to the opponents team. besides, isn't that kinda random factor part of the fun? :>

So Im guessing there is no rule banning ZZ as with random allies it would be very hard to enforce? Like if a Z player gets matched with another Z one shouldn't have to offrace.

It's a fun event, there are not really many rules to follow, besides having fun and obviously not being an ass towards other players.
Sign up guys.

I feel like Gecko picked these maps just to piss me off.

Why those are some of the best 2on2 maps out there. Hannibal is still to date my most favorite 2on2 map out there. The mechanic with the stacked minerals in the main is producing nice games.

1Too much effort to signup. I'll swing by, but if you gotta go through all that then no thanks.

Taken into consideration, even though you posted when the tournament was already concluded. However, please understand the context of the tournament: preparation for the upcoming league. Since that'll be featured on bw.de, we wanted to already show the page with all it's ... glory (massive ads everywhere, bugs, Germans - very ghastly and therefore very much embracing the spirit that is the lovehate-relationship players have with brood war itself).

I sincerely apologize to anyone wanting to join / joining and having to endure the chaos. I have never, ever had such problems with battle.net before. Aside from crashing in a three minute intervall after the tournament had started, I also failed to realize nobody could read my messages for about 20 minutes. It was quite confusing to see the questions for the grid and the assigned allys, despite me posting that again and again. Thanks [del]Merkel[/del] Blizzard.
Despite all that: thanks to everyone who endured the initial chaos and stuck around for a few hours of fun. Hopefully we'll see more bromance as develeoped between Creativee and Raul, as well as between Mindflayer (#nohomo) and our caster Vincent.
