I prefer either; - 1 gate into corsair dt into expansion and mass gates. (sairs hunt overlords, dts just buy time for you to expand, and perhaps also get drone kills) - 2 gate with fast +1, +speedleg timing into expansion. (aim at killing his gas exp third) When you go to take your natural, you need canons foward, around 2 spots back from being on the bridges, that way they can also half defend (sorta) the back ramp into the nat. Zerg can't really mass muta, as they have no gas, they all normally just mass hydra. Speed lots into storm, into turtle gas exp generally works. It really depends what MMR you want this to work well up to. I've never played this map vs Z above 1900. | ||

I imagine that, if the Z expects that you're going to try the fast expo, his aggressive openings can be more dangerous than on other maps so yeah harder to FE but maybe it's not bad for P if you can avoid letting the Z get a second gas too fast? What if you FE and they put their first hatch at a gas expo?? is it hard to defend for the Z? if you go gate first, maybe, if you go forge first, I dont think so? this would straight die to 2 gates though Haven't played that many games on it though I think many people have veto'd it, but so far I've enjoyed playing on it it's different cool. It's nice to play it again it was a long time ago lol | ||

another way to defend it is to get a fast DT by rushing cita=>archive while you hunt for any ovis with corsairs, not easy but you can defend with this and get nexus before canon I think | ||

You can go either for speed shuttle reaver --> harass and expand, or with 1 mighty push with dragoons and dragoon range (with a reaver, without speedshuttle). | ||

The reason is the zerg can easily take second expansion with gas, which leaves you 2 base 1 gas vs 3 base 2 gas - not a good trade for protoss. So instead go for a old school one base play: a) 2 gate zealot opening - 10/12 is standard macro oppening; assim on 17? - if the spawn positions are close enough you can go pressure his natural with 1-3 probes - you try to build zealots non-stop from 2 gateways while not cutting down on probes and teching to storm and speedlots - you might morph your first templars to archon - move out with your speedlots to apply pressure to zerg and take your natural at the same time - cannon up after you have taken your exp - if you see a 2 hatch from zerg expect mutas or lurkers; the counts are not going to be high due to 1 gas; but you will want to go forge earlier and cannon up; some dragoons and early range might work here too - your robo is going to be late so if you see lurkers and you already have some cannons+templars at your natural, move your zealot/archon force to the middle of the map so you don't get lurker contained (or run through if the numbers are not high enough yet) b) 1 gate sair dt - 2 zealots and dragoon for early defense - 1 sair only with main purpose to clear overlords near your natural/main (and scout ofc) - with dts, take nexus and cannon up your natural fast; while researching storm - don't make too many dts or your storm will be too late; 2 might be just enough - after your cannons are done move your dts to harass new zerg expansions - build more gates and robo as you see fit gl | ||

would not recommend sair dt. if zerg makes a lurker, you end up having to triple tech from 1 gas, and that leaves you with very little storm. I haven't played the map in like, 13 years, but I remember sair openings being much worse than on most maps. | ||
