Someone explain the economics of this tournament to me. They've flown a bunch of players guys out to Mykonos, rented a large compound, and hired a production crew to film a pool, and all of this for... right now just under 60k viewers and no paid spectators.

That's ESG though, not ELEAGUE.
That's the first of a series of tournament organised by PVPro, I guess that's kind of a pilot?
Must not be profitable indeed. Although to be honest that might be relatively cheap to organise in a place like this? I don't know.
That Na'Vi roster still needs time, they had about 10-11 days before Malmo and the next weekend eleague I'm also a bit disappointed with such result but...12-16, 14-16 is not the worst performance overall Na'Vi had to beat FaZe earlier to advance, they had their chances, now they need more preparations
Yea, Kenny delivers, but I think that's also a weakpoint of French teams, when no one delivers like Kenny they just fall apart, so I don't think G2 gonna be even in semis. No one had a great performance in Na'Vi these game but they still were able to get it relativly close with pure teamplay.
If we ignore that garbage CT side on inferno, i agree that wasnt a bad performance at all. seized needs to improve asap, he is playing like he lost his game sense.
Yea I feel the same, but it's hard to get back to your full potential in two weeks I guess, his role is still uncertain to me. Imagine they got some madfragger like electronic instead of seized, that would be potentially top3 team.
Not directly related to EL season 4 (sorry guys, will always call the Atlanta major season 3), but related to EL:
ELEAGUE will host the first Major of 2018, groupstage in their Atlanta studio, Play-offs in Boston. So far, so fair and good choice, even if I hoped for some other organsiation. But either EL or Valve massivly fucked up the minors...again. Asian minor is the greatest joke, being a full invite tournament. Not a single open qualifier for the asian minor completly destroys the whole idea behind these tournaments. With 3 australian, 3 chinese, 1 korean and 1 mongolian team, the complete SEA region is neglected, as well as India. On the european side, the qualifiers, both open and closed, are yet again on short notice, leading to teams drop out of another event at TaKes Bar, EMEA finals for Asus ROG Masters, just like the shit show of the europeen minor and APM III last year.
Better not mention that the invited teams to the closed qualifier of the europeen minor are from their skill sets above the 3 minors themself.
