Temple of Pain #7 Mutation overlap The hardest wars are those of attrition. The temple is under siege, minerals can be difficult to harvest, and Amon's army is both resilient and fanatical. Hold out as long as you can, and hope it is enough.
Map: Temple of the Past
Mutations:
Mineral Shields Mineral clusters at player bases are periodically encased in a shield which must be destroyed for gathering to continue.
Barrier Enemy units gain a temporary shield upon the first time they take damage.
Avenger Enemy units gain increased attack speed, armor, and life when nearby enemy units die.
Dehaka works pretty well on this mutation. Especially since the hybrids tend to become crazy murder mashines once buffed like ten times. Consume is a really balanced ability. Kappa
Did it vs Stalker/Adept protoss as Abathur with mines/Roach/Queen with an Alarak Supplicant/Wraithwalker ally. Pretty simple. The economy does slow down a bunch, so pay attention to your hotkeyed static defense at the bases.
The trick is to one-hit units so they can't trigger barrier
Alarak: mind blast kills avenger-ed units/barrier-ed units with ease Nova: place turrets at the edges of the mineral lines, so one shot can hit multiple mineral shields. EMPs are really useful against protoss Kerrigan: lurkers destroy all ground Abathur: nests are good, use max nest charge mastery Stukov: bunkers as usual Karax:solar lance kills units before barrier is up
Did it as Stukov with random Dehaka, and it was a bit tight towards the end, where all defenses more or less crumbled, but held long enough. I never managed to bring down the last thrasher NW and boy did it grow big!
Anyhow, we beat a toss combo with zealots and scouts(?), but before that we practically got killed by a handful unkillable lings from the first puny (or so I thought) wave. Beware of the lings I say... they are smelling blood in the water and won't take "No, get down boy! Heel!" for an answer.
if you're just an average player, i suggest restarting if your enemy comp is either lings or zlots. Lings grow to absurd sizes really quickly and immortals wreck all your buildings.
