Hey Everyone!
Today was the first time I've sponsored a match between streamers and it made for a great viewing experience w/ high quality games!
I plan to sponsor more of these going forward and I'd also like to encourage others to do the same. I think these matches are a great way to support our SC scene and provide some well deserved cash to SC streamers who put a great deal of effort into practicing and providing us with some quality entertainment.
In the interest of standardizing sponsored matches, I'm creating this thread. Essentially we will use this thread to keep track of all player results in sponsored matches!
One thing I'd like some help from the community on is determining a map pool. I'm going to make a poll to get some input from everyone on what the best map pool and selection option is.
What I'd like from everyone is, when you sponsor a match between streamers, please post in this thread with the following information. I'll update this thread at least once daily, most likely multiple times.
Template for Sponsored Matches Player 1 Name: Player 1 Race: Player 2 Name: Player 2 Race: Maps Played: Result: VOD Link(s) (if available):
eOnzerg vs KogeT + Show Spoiler [Match Links] +
eOnzerg vs Dewalt
+ Show Spoiler [Match Links] +
Thanks to everyone for reading this and supporting our SC streamers by watching and/or sponsoring matches!

Poll: How should maps be determined(Vote): Standardized maps, loser picks. (Vote): Standardized maps, set map order. (Vote): Sponsor selected map pool, loser picks. (Vote): Sponsor selected map pool, set map order.
If choosing standardized maps, please post your map pool preference in the comments!

Foreign spon matches becoming a thing would actually be pretty cool...

For sure! I'm hoping it will pick up some traction. It has lots of benefits for both streamers and viewers. Plus it's fun!

Why it should be only bo3 (as your title say)?

Standardized maps, in my opinion, should be something like CB + FS + Current ASL map pool.

Sponsor should set the map pool. If you're sponsoring the game you should set the maps.
Much like if you run a tournament.

Set map order serves the best both for viewership and game value, because preparation can be done effectively.

I'd be hella salty if I had to play 3 maps that are good for T (me as Protoss) first, and only get the 2 balanced maps after (COUGH QIKZ AND HIS TOURNAMENT FULL OF HIGH GROUND DROP LOCATIONS THAT ONE TIME).

Thanks for the input everyone!
From the responses so far I'm thinking a "Suggested" or "Default" map pool/order could be: 1) Circuit Breakers 2) Fighting Spirit 3) Gold Rush
Then if the sponsor wants different maps, they can choose them as they prefer.
As far as BO3, that could be a "Default" as well, and sponsors can request different options as they prefer.
Any feedback on these ideas or anything else is definitely appreciated. Still potential for some refinement for sure :D

How do the korean viewers usually go about setting these up?

If a person puts money up I suspect they would want more games. A Bo3 can be over in under 30 minutes quite easily. Otherwise everything looks good.
EDIT: The other option is to have 5+ maps with veto. This would help players and game quality, I think.

I'm thinking Neo Aztec Crossing Field and Tau Cross are all good maps. But, there was a period of time where I was out of the loop in the pro BW scene, so there may have been some good ones I missed or haven't seen before!

As far as I can tell, they ask one streamer in that streamers chat. The streamer then goes to the other individuals stream and asks them if they want to play for the balloons.
It's BO3 on a set map pool (1) Gold Rush 2) Crossing Field 3) Fighting Spirit).
Then the stats are recorded here http://sponbbang.com/

I figured that's probably how they do it, but wanted to make sure.

Now the real challenge appears to be finding times when multiple people are streaming to sponsor matches haha.
