I will try to write the longest post in the history of my online life, in a language I do not know very well, but fortunately I am looking for a little help of google, I invite you to read and maybe die here of being old.
In the last days / weeks, I was working on a new-old idea based on something that worked great for years on the Polish scene of the starcraft and was one of the reasons why Poland has such a strong and numerous representation in relation to its population etc (of course there were several other factors). Many times on netwars.pl the topic of resuming this project was raised, but unfortunately the number of active players after sc2 release was not enough to capture the nature of such a venture.
I decided to _ give a try _ to transfer it to the international ground with the hope that this idea will be liked.
What am I talking about? I'm talking about the CW (clan war) ladder, loose games, mainly for fun, which gave a bit of fun for people who want to play some official recorded matches and not necessarily able to play something meaningful in tournaments. Of course, there is also a place for the best.
Now maybe a bit of history. What ladder CW? What? Wh ..?
LCW was based on netwars.pl site, the clans agreed to meet in a fixed form match and then fought to death and life. The results of the cw were published on the NW in the now defunct subpages where the community poured out the slops on the losers and winners faps to the LCW table after scores update :D.
Really such league only in one country? How many were you? 5 clans?
Well, here can be a big surprise for outsiders, because it was attended by dozens of clans in which the majority of active players waved between 10-20 or more.
This is how lcw table looked in 2005, 2007 and 2008.

(in 2008 it was over 200 hidden inactive clans)
So if you are old guy and have wondered these times sometimes from such strange tags as eR (eR18-Draco, eR94-KogeT) or ZZZ (ZZZero, MistrZZZ), come from, because you did not know these clans from any leagues or servers (LCW was played on the NTC server), that's the answer..
I think at some period of times, LCW had a larger number of active clans than international rivals like WGT-CL or iCC-CL. Although due to the number of years that have already passed since then, I can exaggerate a bit.
Why this might be better and not a classic league?
I think that the LCW format had a big influence on why so many clans participated in these competitions, it could make even more sense in the case of the version for the whole world.
In popular leagues like ICCCL etc. etc. Usually the format, specific hours, etc. were imposed. This could be problematic for clans or players from other time zones etc. In the case of these competitions, such (now called GLCW for simplicity) problems are much less important. Captains can arrange a match in a convenient time for them and their players, if you want to play an additional 10 x 1v1 games, or play 3v3 intergalactic games on hunters, no problem.
Why I THINK did ordinary leagues (like the last PANAMs) fall quickly? Because when one or two clans stopped playing, the snowball of the walkovers began.
Of course i might be wrong and this whole topic is non sense :D
However this problem also does not apply to the GLCW idea, if one clan stops being active, its active players can simply move to another active clan without waiting for the end of the season, etc. Such a system is self-propelled. Players can join the GLCW / clans during the contest, which was always a problem in classic leagues, where you have to wait months for the next season.
You did not play for 2 years and suddenly you wanted to fight again, do you have a hunger for the official match? No problem. You do not have to wait for the next CL season which will start just after next 123123123123 weeks.
Your clan stopped playing, the captain found a girlfriend, his wife took his keyboard, his mother told him to peel the onions. No problem, you can change the clan at any time.
So in reference to this idea, I created this simple page on which to build such a ladder type.

The points system is based on my previous ELO ranking, but some simplifications have been introduced such as: clan cannot fall below a certain level of points (750), in the case of a loss you lose fewer points than the winner clan gets. For example, in the case of a clash of clans which have 900 points, the winner will win 32, the loser will lose 16, etc.
Clan captains will have access to match reporting system, after accepting the match by the administrations, the news will be visible to everyone and the point will be updated.

So, going to the end of this boring post, if you're hungry for clan competitions, hungry for pride of your tag, then I hope that you like my idea and you will join competitions with your friends.
There are a few simple requirements that must be met for the clan to be accepted in the competition:
- having at least 6 members

- clearly marked captains / v-captains of the team and the people responsible for the organization of the clan inculiding contact e-mail or other popular form of communication FB etc.
___________THIS IS NOT ANY MORE REQUIRED BUT IT WOULD BE NICE TO SEE IT AND MIGHT BE CHANGED IN FUTURE________________
