I tried Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links, but in that game if I don't buy decks with cash, it is almost impossible to climb to a decent placement. Also, I would prefer playing a card game where we are allowed to choose the deck order, if such a game exists.
Need good card game to play.. Help please..!

PS : I came across a Japanese card game called Shadowverse. Anyone here who can give a bit more information on that? (and also Faeria). Information I am looking for - How hard is it to make a good deck by only F2P.

More people need to get involved! I checked this 1.. Steamcharts show 2362 people left this game last month. Still, average 910 online concurrently should be good for PvP. But why the drop though? Is now a good time to start playing it?

Also, I would prefer playing a card game where we are allowed to choose the deck order, if such a game exists. Gwent has the lowest amount of draw rng of the games that I've played. Including mulligan you can see over half of your 25 card deck in your opening hand. With tutoring, GY and draw effects a well built deck will get it's plan in motion more often than not, certainly more often than in other games. It may not bother you but the art in that game is fantastic (my favourite foil/gold cards in any CCG). It's only available on GoG though (not Steam). Spellweaver is also decent. It has a "land" based mana system, but has a couple of neatly designed systems that limit the effect of mana screw. Has a lot of other interesting functionality like the speed and hero power systems. Eternal is fun, but probably the most volatile in terms of draw quality. Similar to magic in terms of systems with extremely synergistic decks able to be built, but draws can cost (or win) you the game from almost any situation. Elder Scrolls legends is good. I liken it to a more in depth version of Hearthstone. Infinity Wars is a personal favourite. Really innovative combat system and fantastic full animation cards. Closer to dead than the other options but you can still find games (last I checked). Provides access to weekly deck archetypes which allow you to play the game without having a full collection. Also really enjoyed Faeria (though why they disabled the mobile client I'll never know), though you've already stated that wasn't your thing. For others, it's sort of a CCG/Chess hybrid. Great game. For all the games though, you'll need to either spend some time or money developing a collection that can be used for competitive. That's just how the genre works.

Artifact will be coming out soon, and they have said it is not P2W

I think you did have to construct a deck but since it's also a wargame (you put your creature on a map and you can move them around) you can beat a better deck with better strategy or so it seamed

Also tried Spellweaver, MMDoC, Hex and Eternal and would recommend them in that order. Prismata isn't really a card game imo.

The game has been alive for years - the top players are still playing and improving even after 3 years of nonstop play And yeah, it's a small community, but it's an ultra nerd game for hardcore card gamers no RNG, extremely deep, (not currently solvable by AI!) Lots of pros from other card games regularly play prismata for fun because it's such a great game

The most unique card game that I played was Runescape Legends, which has you and your opponent kind of "playing your own adventure" while occasionally messing with each other and having a showdown after the last chapter. I haven't played it in a very long time though (after checking steamspy, it seems to be dead, which is a bit sad).

It's not a F2P game and you still have to buy cards, we don't know what the unlock progression is like. Legends is a great F2P game though. I never felt like I needed to spend money. Think I have spent a total of 10$ on the game.

Eternal is the best free to play experience for traditional magic style games, Magic Arena is a bit too stingy right now for me to recommend it as a truly free to play experience. Might be worth looking into when it hits open beta though. Also if you just want to play card games online you can try jinteki.net or https://theironthrone.net/. These are sites that let you play Android Netrunner(A truly unique asymmetrical experience, my favorite card game of all time, none of these other games in this thread are close to it in game design. Game is dead this year but you'll probably be able to get jnet games for a few years at least if your interested) and Game of Thrones LCGs(yet another game where you play guys and turn them sideways, what a surprise. Plot decks are cool and the game has a lot of play to it). Watch how to play videos online if you play one of these cause there is no tutorials or anything your just jumping in.
