Maybe TL should look into picking up some of the Werra guys. Having some Korean speakers on the team could really help them out and Werra has some great players up for grabs.

It was an OK clan, although I'm not a big fan of WC3. Can't say I was sympathetic of any of them during GSL either, they just failed to deliver on the level of oGs, Prime and NEX. They probably just couldn't meet the bills of sponsors.

Or rather, people viewing China/Korea/Japan etc. as, "pretty much the same thing." Ya, when you get publicly ousted for molesting a child (and in Korea for being a potential homosexual/bisexual), it's gonna get ugly for you, but it's not because of some bullshit archaic BUSHIDO type code of honour or something. If I fuck up big time I'm not going to off myself because I "dishonoured" my family or something. I'd be offing myself because all my dignity was stripped away, and I'd have no prospect of a future after something scandalous is on my 'public' record (that's assuming if I was from a conservative Korean background). I may be nitpicking on semantics, but there is a distinct difference in the way which the words honour and more appropriate words like dignity connote to whatever you're writing. Back on topic: It's a shame WeRRa disbanded because of this. They really had a talented group of players and I really hope their core players are able to bring something back. I feel real sorry for the kid, shit like that is just so wrong, no matter how "minor" those trolls try to convince you it was. HURF DURF IT WAS ONLY A ZIPPER. Yep, in Korea, suicide is more about being ashamed in yourself rather than some sort of honor thing. This isn't 1700s y'know.

The setting in which gaming revolves, hopes, and dreams, makes cases like this diffcult to keep at bay.

I like how you use the fact that people try to molest kids every day as justification to argue that this kid was probably not actually traumatized or had some other agenda. Seriously, what is wrong with you? I would just like to say that, it is not the molesting in itself that caused him to be hurt, but the great betrayal and lack of confidence he now have. The sexual intention part is not the big wound here. I think he will take more damage if people treat him like a victim for the next few years. This kid was brave and said what needed to be said in public, he will get over it. But if everyone think he will be damaged for the next 10 years or more, they are the one that inflicts damage on him.

This is a time to show the strength of the community, and it's experience, not it's weaknesses. Yes, he went public, but holdning a 15 year old kid responsible for his actions is exactly what people are indirectly saying no to right now, in that he was taken advantage over without the power to walk away, and arguably react emotionally rational. So be careful in feeling free to say whatever. He was brave to go public, but he will maby not be as happy about it later in a personal perspective. Victimizing is dangerous. <--Psychology student for some years.

I digress, I hope the kid (who's got potential as GSL Ro64 is NOT a bad performance at all for someone who isn't even on the radar yet) gets back on track in one way or another. Whether he starts studying again and quits SCII (and pours that dedication back to getting into a good Univ and getting good grades) or goes down the pro-gaming path (and try to achieve his full capabilities), he hopefully puts this behind him after getting counseling.
