I know alot of us used to edit the registry on XP for playing broodwar to completely remove mouse accel. My understand is this was necessary because some older games turned it back on even if you had the option disabled in windows.
Im wondering whther this is necessary for starcraft 2, as in; does starcraft 2 behave itself when you turn off mouse accel, or do you need the registry edit to completely remove it. I am guessing since it's a modern game we dont need the registry fix anymore?
I'm hoping to get some replies from people that might have some factual knowledge on whether this is the case or not. I do not want this to be a discussion on whether removing mouse accel is necessary, as I am sure those of us who understand the benefits have already made the right decision.

Mouse acceleration is known as "enhance mouse precision" under mouse options, and should be turned off. However, i am pretty sure that you don't need to disable anything else, as that's the entirety of mouse acceleration in windows 7.

The way XP and windows 7 handles a mouse is vastly different, it's even different compared to vista turning off enchanted mouse precision should be enough, older games may have issues but not sc2.
