I started to translate a lot of final edits in French on my clan website with the permission of TL and TLWriters and sometime there is also cool articles that i would like to translate in the future after i've done the final edits that i feel are "important" to be translated.
As i have some friend that find TL repulsive in terms of interface and language, translating those article give IMO credits and visibility to all the wonderfull work TL writers are doing.
I asked if it was possible to easily find those "not final edits article" and i was told to ask here since apparently it's not possible.
I'm talking about articles on players like this one : http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/starcraft-2/448996-hail-to-the-bosstoss-a-look-back-at-wcs-europe-s1
And like the portraits of all players that were done for the WCS grand final at blizzcon.
It would be cool to have links somewhere or a category to find those.
Here are some leads that i can think of on the top of my head :
Adding those articles on the players profile in Liquipedia (For exemple the bosstoss article would have links in MC, Jjakji, Dayshi and MMA's profile).
Pros
- When you want to know about a player, all is in the same place
Cons
- Require a lot of manual work.
- Some can be missing if someone forget to do it
Creating a categorie for articles like final edits
Pros
- All in on place
Cons
- Dev to do and tagging all the articles(?) Don't know if it can be scripted or if manual work.
- hard to find article on your player since his name may or may not be in the title of the article.
Creating a Player/Caster/Personality database
Pros
- You don't have to skim through liquipedia.
- Could be accessed like TLpro player list ?
Cons
- Dev of an entire new category in TL.
- Overlaps with Liquipedia
Creating a blog and wait for help and contributions of the community
Pros
- No dev, no TL incriminating.
- Can be style free.
Cons
- Slow(?)
- Tedious to find (?)
That's all i can think of right now.
Sorry if TLPD and Liquipedia are not the same thing i always forget what's what. And sorry for my sometime broken english.
To your ideas !
