Once again, thank you to R1CH and everyone else who contributed to the success of implementation. Now, there's also some feedback in terms of cleaning up. Although sometimes Shuttle's stream doesn't appear and the race icons sometimes don't, I'm sure they are in the process of being fixed
Afreeca Organizations
TakeTV is currently listed under Organizations, so afreeca streams such as LoveTV and SonicTV should be too. Yes, sometimes LoveTV plays 2v2s on Fish, but these streams are organizations that run the major tournaments for players. The major streams that should be listed under "Organizations" are;
LoveTV: http://play.afreeca.com/sr629 (86k+ LSL3) SonicTV: http://play.afreeca.com/sogoodtt (Sonic is Sonic, no arguments) BCTV: http://play.afreeca.com/1a2a3a (Organizing BCSL2 right now) HungryTV: http://play.afreeca.com/hungrytv (already given out $12,000+ worth of prize moneyin HEL Special matches)
Snipealot2 as the ONLY featured Afreeca Restream twitch stream
I understand completely that having 4 (5 if you count bvgtc) is too much of a cluster, but given the turbulence and sometimes lags that occurs on Afreeca Global during it's infancy, having only 1 snipealot2 restream is handy for insurance and safety during a premier tournament. Also, having a twitch chat for everyone to meet up is important too.
Also, "Starcraft_BW_VoDs" is too vague of a title now since LoveTV also rebroadcast BW VODs. Why not change it to "Classical BW VODs" like its Twitch title, more descriptive title and no ugly underscores.
Incomplete Player List[
Some of the players who are even playing in the upcoming $86,000+ LoveTV Starleague (LSL3) are not added to stream. There are also some very high ladder players like Sea sSak and Last who all also play against some of the other top players. I'll try to add more once I can recall them:
Afreeca IDs Index: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft/Afreeca
StarCraft: Brood War
Protoss
Bisu #1 Protoss Mini STX Protoss who was #1 Ladder last season Rock Oldschool Protoss very popular stream Jaehoon Playing in LoveTV Events and even beat hero 3-1 Tyson Playing LoveTV Events JangBi It's JangBi... Movie LSL3 Shuttle LSL3 Snow LSL3 free LSL3 Pure LSL3 Pusan LSL3 Lazy LSL3 Guemchi LSL3
Terran

Thanks again!
Edit: We will probably need a new "AfreecaTV Featured Streams" as opposed to the main Featured Streams thread that all uses TwitchTV.

I definitely support having more Afreeca streams being recognized. It's great that we have this new Flash-based mobile stream player to take advantage of
At the same time, I think it's really valuable to maintain all 4 Snipealot's in the featured list.
If folks just want to passively watch live or recorded VODs, there have always been opportunities -- using Livestreamer, or the proprietary Afreeca Desktop Player, Youtube, etc. And that's perfectly fine.... But many folks (both casual observers and fervent fans) have tended to return to the 4 Snipealot streams because:
- Social interaction/community engagement: valuable gathering spot for the BW community. Even moreso seeing how small the community is. There are often have more BW-related conversations than the forums see because of the convenience of 20-100 folks gathered simultaneously. Some examples of discussion:
- Real-time game/strategy analysis (particularly if top names are playing)
- Discussing news/hot topics of the day (speculating on tournament participants and sponsors, which players returning to BW, when players leaving for military)
- Reminiscing about retired players
- Korean/Afreeca insiders join the chats occasionally to share trends (decreased fan donations in 2014 and outlook for LoL/DotA) and happenings that aren't formally detailed elsewhere
- Newer players asking about how/where to play; tech support
- Solid internet connections with low latency (compared to Europe/America where most of the audience is located; there've already been some complaints of lag when attempting to use the Afreeca streams directly)
- Cultivated streams: the mods actively find the strongest competition/games and monitor any technical hiccups around the clock
And, of course, selfishly, we (mostly amazingxkcd ) are privately paying for the hosting/streaming of the 4 Snipealot streams for the community, so we want the community to take full advantage of the benefits by having the streams easier to find in the featured list
If we're really concerned about clutter, perhaps consider a separate featured block for the Snipealot restreams and the Afreeca streams

That's very good.
Thoughts, Admins?

If you still think having 4 Organizations listed, then just list the 2 major League Organizations:
LoveTV and SonicTV
LSL3 will have $86K+ prizepool and SSL10 willl have $25K for first place.

As long as there's a calendar entry for each event those organization streams will broadcast, they can be added to that event once it's live and their visibility then doesn't depend on their feature status. Also, streams like lovetv seems to be online 24/7 restreaming their old stuff which would be confusing to have in the featured streams.

The chat channel is #teamliquidbw on Quakenet, which is actually an old TL BW channel which served for people to talk about BW and find games and stuff. It hasn't been that much active lately, but hopefully now more people will use it to talk about anything BW. We're only using a single channel for now to see how it will go; but if it becomes pretty popular we can split all streams to their own chat channels so people don't talk over each other etc.
Using the embedded IRC chat is even simpler than using the twitch chat (since you don't even have to register anywhere). Just click on the 'Toggle channel' below the stream, enter your name and click 'Join chat'. In the spoiler, you can see a picture which clarifies it even further:

It would be too much to have all these streams featured, especially during the Korean peak hours when as much as 15 of them could be online at the same time.

Any words on what's the quota for the average/peak viewers's going to be?

Is anyone else experiencing really bad lag (buffering every second) on the afreeca streams? What is strange is that I've never had lag issues before with any stream, and only certain afreeca streams lag (bisu doesn't, killer does, liquid'sea does 50% of the time).
Curious if someone knows a fix and/or if anyone else has experienced this symptoms. Thanks.
