No but seriously, Oneother is right, there is NO way Bisu is just using hold position, Cube your dumb. He is manually selecting 2 goons at a time and right clicking each mine near the goons. Whats impressive is that he is doing that with multiple pairs, all while microing the rest of his goons

I doubt that there was any microing specifically on the mines. auto attack from goons targets vultures not mines. i know you terran hate toss, but give the man some credit it was really sick to watch.

Plus Dragoons are some of the dumbest units... after gols. You gotta manually target anyway even if there were no vults/tanks in the area cause they just randomly fire if you hold position. :\ Sick micro.

I'm pretty sure that units prioritize targets based on their size, biggest targets being targeted first, ie why ultras are so good because they absorb all the damage and then the cracklings do the dps. but I'm not sure though. as someone said, goons prioritize vultures over mines, but I'm not sure if it's because mines are small or if mines are considered "buildings". ohh the mysteries of the starcraft engine..

You're going to have to refer to my previous post. Also, I don't see why a Terran player that hates Protoss would say that Bisu didn't manually target those mines. I mean, I can kinda see the logic? T hates P and wants to justify his hate by saying that P is easy? But seriously, that's just stupid and absurd. But thanks for informing me about goons auto-targeting vultures, not mines. That's makes the video so much more crazy On August 30 2009 15:49 lazz wrote: this is an interesting question. Uh, I don't think so. If I'm not mistaken, I believe it's whatever is in range and then whatever is the threat. So dragoons a-moving into tanks and floating buildings will first attack the building. When the tanks start firing, the goons being hit will attack the tanks whereas those not hit will continue firing at the building. That's why you have to make sure you send it your ultras first and your zerglings afterward. Your opponent's units aren't going to target the ultras for you.

That's why you have to make sure you send it your ultras first and your zerglings afterward. Your opponent's units aren't going to target the ultras for you. StarCraft is a program. You have to think of the Dragoon's actions as a program. Here are your conditionals, in basic English: 1) If there is a unit in the Dragoon's range, it will stop and attack (assuming hold position or a-move or patrol). 2) If there are two units in the Dragoon's range, it will stop and attack the unit with higher priority (marine over scv, vulture over mine). 3) If there are two units in the Dragoon's range, it will stop and attack the unit which is closer. Buildings get hit first because they enter the Dragoon's range before the Terran units do, which means that Protoss has to manually bring the Dragoons within range of the Terran army. Another thing to note is that they will also not be able to just a-move the Dragoons behind the front row as well, because they will also stop for the building. This conveniently puts them into the sieged Tank range, as you all know. QED, Bisu micro'd the goons intentionally, especially if you note the amount of shots that he generally used per mine (2), which is the minimum.

Bisu and Flash both showed extraordinary unit control in that game. did you notice the flash grin in the end? His build would've did so much more damage if bisu did not have the mine sniping skills. God damn, i bet flash was thinking "fuck his goon micro too good"
