Worst of all I am now getting pop ups on firefox, for fuck sake. Have no idea what I am right now pissed, confused, or just stunned. I am glad they got rid of SOME virus but apparently they missed something. They seem to have done more damage than an actual virus.

i recommend running "hijackthis" http://free.antivirus.com/hijackthis/ then posting the log it generates to this http://hjt.networktechs.com/ afterwards, uninstall all other anti/spyware/malware/virus then install nod32 http://www.eset.com/download/free_trial_download.php just go for a free trial. if you like it you can buy it, after all that jazz, spybot search and destroy. http://www.safer-networking.org/en/spybotsd/index.html now after everthing get combofix http://www.combofix.org/ run that in safe mode, if you don't understand anything post back, once we get rid of all that shit, we can work to fix your audio and internet oh yea, if you don't want to deal with it, and save time, do a format

I know a few guys who work there... most of the people have no clue what they're doing, they just come equipped with a CD with some general programs and that's about it. The ones that do know what they're doing, or even have their certs, don't even do residential calls. You're 10x better off hitting up a local computer repair shop or something, or yeah, just posting here for software issues. My god... $350?

Best to seek computer advice from a reliable source: Friends, forums, or relatives (at your own discretion).

When I got it back, I opened up Team Fortress 2 to test it out. My screen went completely apeshit and wouldn't go back to normal. I rebooted it and it fixed it, and after messing around a bit I found out they didn't uninstall the old drivers and just installed the new ones right on top of them. Fixed it by installing the new drivers properly. Thanks Geek Squad, for taking my $50 and making me wait 2 days when I could have done it myself. I feel dumb looking back on this. T_T Google pretty much solves all problems now And Geek Squad is terrible (but maybe it depends on which Best Buy you go to)

I'm surprised people even think about using geeksquad. Helping you 'setup' for your ps3 for only $129.99? Hell of a deal there.

1. Install Malwarebytes 2. Run 3. If that doesn't work, go the Hijackthis rout 4. If that still doesn't work, just reformat. The best part is, all of that is entirely free.

Other than CO patching, is your computer still having some problems? Also, I HIGHLY recommend asking for a refund from Geek Squad. They did a terrible job there.
