so my friend is getting married in 2 days and I was thinking about slipping this in the card
I dunno the girl that well though, she's a history major and wants to be a teacher. So she might be a feminazi or something. My friends all think its funny and i'm sure jake (in the pic) will laugh. ps-Just for reference they met at work and she was leaving off the temp job and he asked her out on his last chance. After a month they were engaged, I dunno much details because this guy has been mia ever since. I've seen him literally once and met her once after a year, she seemed cool.
Too IRL trollish?
Poll: SRS POLL (Vote): 4 teh lulz (Vote): innapropriate.
Also, the card is kind of 'cute' card. Has a picture of little girl and boy playing 1800s dress up or something. and then inside it says like "just because you are married, doesn't mean you have to grow up!"

teh lulz, DO IT 4 TEH LULZ!

If you don't know both of them very well, I think it's inappropriate.
...which is such a waste, though, 'cause that picture is perfect for the caption, lol.

He's smiling too, and I don't think it'll set a very good starting point for you being her husbands friend.
Bonus : Too brash version which I toned down
k well maybe I just email it to him
if that was them in the picture than MAYBE it would be okay, but probably not. If that's not them in the picture than it's not even close or funny
wait what blackjack? yes that is them in the pic

Don't think its offensive at all, it's meant to be a joke so there's is no valid reason for her to make a scene or flip out.

I just dunno if she will have a sense of humor (or just one on that day of 'every girl's dream day' )

You can't just make whatever joke you want to whomever you want, though. If he knew this girl well, it would be funny. He doesn't, so it's not appropriate.
Hahaha I wouldn't but I'd want to as bad as you do.
yea, this is risky joke. I think it comes down to the risk outweighing the gain here.
Eh... I wouldn't do it... but if they both have a good sense of humour you could go for it. Nothing spices up a wedding like some jokes about feminism
Give it to just your male friend. It's definitely not worth to show both of them.
From my experience, you'd be surprised at how many girls get extremely offended at jokes like this even though they are well aware that it's just a joke.
I'm not sure it would be funny in any case. It's a lame joke.
I think it comes down to the deilvery and execution. You can't just walk into a serious emotional moment and hand them this picture. Maybe like after the ceremony when everyone is drunk and in a joking mood I'll pull it out and show jake and he can make the call to show her.
Haha... definitely inappropriate unless you know her really well.

Do this or like you said earlier email it to him.
I don't remember the exact wording, but for my friend's wedding I got her a card that said something like Happy Birthday!Happy Wedding! They're just like any other day - eat chocolate and bitch. It wasn't really well-worded but I think they got the gist of it

Thats actually a good call... get him all loose and juiced and then if he shows it to her its not on your head.
its definitely inappropriate, but teh lulz... hard to say no to teh lulz
fuck that, make the caption something about how hell get divorced faster than he got engaged. i expect better of you cm
I always kind of wondered if your online persona matched real life...so unless you're making this whole thing up, I guess I have my answer.

yea that's what i was thinking at first, but there wasn't a picture that fit for it.

take a camera to the bachelor party. problem solved
make a check out for 800 dollars hawk hollaaaa

If you don't care about what his wife thinks about you, then go right ahead. But you MIGHT be satisfied showing it to her.
yeah email is prbly better but it really depends on the context of the situation if you decide to hand it to them directly
just send it to your male friend. i don't see any way the girl could be too thrilled about this
How is this even a question...lol.
Yeah, don't do it. As others have posted, although the girls know it's just a joke, a lot of them tend to take it personally and WILL be offended. But since you went through all the effort (copy+paste picture -> adding a line of text), you might as well email it to your buddy haha, he'll probably enjoy it
Do it! Do it! Do it!
+ Show Spoiler + Unless you don't want a "TROLL" stamp on your forehead!
I voted yes, only if you post the results. maybe get someone to snap a photo of their reactions.
wad it up and throw it at her before she begins her marriage vows but also put it in the card so she can see it later too

It's HER fault if she doesn't find it funny!!!

Definitely don't do it. They'll think less of you.
Dude, 4chan isn't important. Your friend is. K thx bai

Impossible.

I voted yes, then read what you had to say. If you dont know her well then it is probably a bad idea. edit: I found it hilarious.
she wouldnt care if shes a history major, history majors are usually cool and curious people who wont mind an anecdote
another thing is that your joke has been told 1k times, otherwise i wouldnt hesitate. Not like anything will happen if you end up doing it lol, more memories for them imo
The most you can gain is a small chuckle.. compared to the risk.
Harmless joke unless neither of them have a sense of humor or she took it from him. I think they'd both be able to laugh about it because it not only is a cute picture of them, but also implements their life as a married couple (her cooking, of her own free will, of course.) I see no real risk here, but then again I don't know jackshit about either of them.
moral: sack up and give it
It's obvious that it's inappropriate especially if u look at the poll. The fact that "4 teh lulz" is actually narrowly losing = it's really inappropriate irl
benefit not worth the risk
if youre gonna do it, do it in a less aggressive tone and without all caps
just do it charlie, when did you care what people say
Nah... that's not right for a wedding.
I would definitely recommend not doing that unless you never want to get invited to the + Show Spoiler + housewarming party.

This definitely isn't a joke you want to make at a wedding, especially if you don't know the girl well.
Just try to imagine the reaction of the girl's parents and grandparents when they see it. Yeah... not a good idea.
And it's pretty amazing you're actually asking this in all seriousness.

It's even more amazing how 40% of people (so far) said to do it.
Is the risk of you coming off as a total ass worth the reward of just getting a few laughs from your buddy and his wife?
+ Show Spoiler +I fully expect you to say yes and then post a video of her reaction.
But in seriousness, no. That's fucking retarded. It's supposed to be her day. Don't try something like that on a woman's wedding day. It may be different if you knew her well and you guys had a "joking around" friendship, but you say you barely even know her. There's a pretty good chance that she'll forever label you as a sexist prick.

I think the fact that you would even ask shows where you're at, maturity-wise CM. I love you but you're goddamn retarded sometimes.
I see it as a harmless joke, and see no important reason not to give it to them. I think the fact that you don't know the girl and that you seem to be making such a big deal of this little joke might make it potentially awkward. But really, it's something that you thought of, so it's a personal thing (which is important, given the occation), and it's fairly funny.
I don't see any way that she could take offense to this. The only problem would be you standing there expecting them to find it funny, while they don't. As you say, it the reaction mainly comes down to execution. Just remember it's not a big deal.
So, be yourself. It's important that you can still be yourself around your friend even if he's getting married. If this is your natural inclination, then this might be a good way of staying the same despite your friend's marriage. It's just a joke, don't overthink it.

funny without the text. DEFINITELY do not add this unless you know the girl well.
1. You do it if you know FULLY WELL that she'll laugh.
2. If not, you'd better don;t. There are other ways to make it sweet, funny .etc.

Probs a bad idea. Maybe if one of your closer lady friends gets married you can opt for that.
please for the love of god do it, with the text
please please please

I brought the picture in my back pocket and showed a few friends, but I didn't think I couldn't ever find an appropriate time to give it to the groom. They were mostly busy the whole time.
Wedding was great though, got lots of free booze (mostly Stella) and the dinner was very good. Some of my friends gave a surprise speech which was really well done.
We gave them a crock pot, some random married lady and my gf agreed at the store that this was a better gift than 8 guinness glasses.
edit- My friend said he took the picture from me towards the end of the night and showed the groom and he didn't think it was funny and seemed kind of mad (said friend). That is the vibe I got from the day which is why I didn't show it to him.
