After installing a cracked version of IDM 5.18:
All information about your order has been logged!!! This order has been placed with a stolen credit card, and/or the chargeback request came from the original credit card owner and in result, we discontinued this serial number in the update. Don't ever use stolen cards next time when you purchase anything. We have forwarded all information that we have for this order to local cyber-fraud department to investigate this credit card abuse issue. Because this is a serious crime, we have forwarded all information that we have about this and associated Vietnamese fraud attempts to Vietnamese newly formed cyber-police for complete investigation. We will also contact your Internet Service provider to find out the client who stands behind this order. We will make everything to prosecute this illegal activity to the maximum extent possible under law! If you want to purchase IDM legally, you can use this local Vietnam reseller: http://truongancomputer.vn/?truongan=dangkymua&masp=10 anti-fraud Sales Department Tonec Inc.
Sorry for 4x posts, my connection is weird so I clicked the post button too many times.

(1) Did you actually purchase the software with a stolen Credit Card number? Or (2) did you just download it from a random warez site?
If it's (1), well I don't think you're getting arrested for that, most probably a fine (if they even bother to trace you down, which i highly doubt) and a slap in the face from your dad.
If it's (2), give them the usual response "ME NO KNOW NOTHING!!!"

A friend of mine got arrested after installing IDM 4.02. I would just take out my internet cable and not use my computer for like a week or two. That way they won't be able to trace their way to your home.

lol if your cyber-fraud department is anything close to the Bulgarian one their response to this sort of information might look like this: worker 1: Dude, we got a mail! worker 2: Don't bother me right now I have a raid on the local speed exp wow server. worker 1: This is some kind of a request... LOL, prank mail, they are requesting us to work! worker 2: Is this from the boss? worker 1: You kidding? Boss has been on Hawaii for the past 4 months. Screw this, it's 10:15,lunch break is starting. I'll be back in 4 hours. worker 2: Don't turn off the server! I'm running torrent on it. Need to get my ratio up again!
But really, even if they bother to do anything, just give them the usual: "I know nothing!"

Posting this on a popular forum is not the smartest way to followup getting caught doing something illegal...

Looks really fake to me, like someone just put that in there to fuck with the people who download it.
The excessive exclamation points make it look really fake.

Yeap, majority of Vietnamese police force will be able to call up your ISP and ask for logs, up to I believe 2 years back. Wanna bet, good odds?
Not that a post on TL will get you convicted or anything, but if you had straight up admitted to doing it, it certainly wouldn't help your cause.

Even if you don't have the death sentence in Vietnam, you'll probably be shipped off to China to be fired upon.
Goodbye.
