The whole "we <3 blizzard and SC2 is the greatest game ever" going on makes me sick. It's pretty obvious they're under indirect control of ActivisionBlizzard. Gave me a hearty l-o-l.

The whole "we <3 blizzard and SC2 is the greatest game ever" going on makes me sick. It's pretty obvious they're under indirect control of ActivisionBlizzard. Not to mention that the level of the average has lowered a lot. Of course it'll be a lot more popular now. Popular like gamefaqs, as you said. I'll keep visiting them while they still upload SC1 vods though. This made me giggle. And this: Agreed. TL's website layout is bad especially forum and response. Streams are good though. Ahh people who have no clue what they are talking about :D

To TL's credit, they did crack down on this somewhat with requirements of claims being supported by replays, but it's still an issue, one that'll only grow as the game grows in popularity and people turn to TL because of its reputation.

Yes, the influx of new blood has led to some post quality problems, but then again, that is just as much the fault of no one really knowing how the game works yet. Once the game hits shelves, patches are spaced out over months, moderators will have a much easier time just wiping "oh my god unit x should be changed for xxxxxx reasons." Not to mention many people who dont want to truly improve will stop coming. I just like how they started to insult the layout and general excitement that tl has for the game.

You know, Oakhill is kind of right. All I see now is single digit posters posting random irrelevant stuff in Strategy forums and the vitality of TL.net has just been sapped. The wave of new members is just too sudden and large.

Yeah, I think you're right. I just don't think it gives people a license to make completely unsubstantiated claims. There's phases to the absurd claims. The game required no micro. The game's just easier. It's unconditionally dumbed down. Dark Templars are useless because they take so long to get. Zerg casters are useless. Blah blah blah. There's absolutely nothing wrong with making these claims if you can support them with a good argument. I feel like we're in the renaissance and people are convinced that the Earth is the center of the universe. Evidence? What's that! Investigation and logic are just thrown out the window to knee-jerk reactions. If you can't tell, I get really frustrated with many of the posts, and I just wish moderation was tighter because there are quality posters here and meaningful discussions to be had.

yeah figures, the moment I decide to go to website, is moment it decides that every1 found it too. I only went there for skilled sc2 player replays. big mistake. just a bunch of noobs in the finals doing play it safe strategies. Id beat them, but whenever I visualize a great strategy, i end up getting trashed at 4 minutes because his immortal shot my immortal better, or his mutalisks drove faster than my stalkers. Or sometimes, he sends marauders to my base earlier, and nothing i sent at them lasts longer than 3 seconds. MIGHTY PROTOSS WARRIOR GANG, all blown away like little wimpy idiots. talk about a bunch of losers. I played sc1 today and was shocked when my zealots survived fighting hydralisks. 2 zealots vs 6 hydralisks and they actually killed one. Good luck getting in melee range in time in sc2 before your zealots just clal it quits and leave the battlefield.
