10 things you should know about:
2. Delorean's new album Subiza
listen to it on Lala Download It Pre-order the vinyl Delorean's blog (in Spanish, they post music they like here)
3. Brooks Brothers Extra Slim Fit Sport Shirts
The best-fitting oxford button-down I've ever encountered, perfect if you are skinny or have an athletic build. A bit on sizing: unlike their extra slim fit dress shirts (which come in regular shirt sizes, e.g. 15/35 or whatever) these come in S, M, L, and XL. I'm a 15/35 and the medium fits me really well before washing (see picture below for an idea of the fit, I'm 6'1'' if that helps).
Right now (today only) Brooks Brothers is 15% off everything, and you get a $10 discount for registering at their website. So you can cop 3 of these shirts for around $150, which is an absurd steal. Consider it.
+ Show Spoiler [me trying on a size medium] +
4. http://mytasteinwomen.tumblr.com/
5. Local Natives' Gorilla Manor
Sure they have dumb hipster mustaches, but their music is great (perfect for spring). Vinyl just came in the mail today:
Download It
6. A Robot Love Story
quite clever short film from Spike Jonze (do not be deterred by the bit of advertising you have to click through to see the film)
7. The Loveline Archive
Loveline (when it had Adam Carolla and Dr. Drew as hosts) was the greatest radio show of all time. This is an archive (unfortunately, mostly low-quality mp3s) of lots of episodes from their golden era, which was at least 1995-2002 (when I stopped listening to the show regularly—it probably stayed just as good until Adam left in 2005).
This show taught me almost everything I know about drugs, sex, relationships, social dysfunctions… Here are some of my favorite episodes:
September 4, 2000: Adam blows Drew out of the studio with gas (if this does not make you cry laughing, get your sense of humor checked) September 9, 2003: Adam and Drew make fun of PSAs, about halfway through the show they get their best "smoke detector beep" caller of all time April 21, 2002: Adam is drunk in Las Vegas (show's opening minute lets you know how great it will be), many veal/venison quizzes, one prompts the best response I've ever heard (from a particularly clueless caller)
8. http://them-thangs.com/
as far as I'm concerned, this the king of image blogs (a dubiously impressive title)
9. Every Day the Same Dream
10. A list of the only pizza places worth going to in the entire USA
I can vouch for Spacca Napoli (Chicago), A16 (my favorite restaurant in SF, just fantastic), 2 Amys (DC), Punch (Minneapolis). Next time you want some pizza, get your shit together and go to a place that makes it right. If it's on this list, you're guaranteed a great meal.
BONUS!! 11. Martin + Osa 30% off sale
Martin + Osa is American Eagle's J.Crew competitor and they have some pretty good clothes. Unfortunately AE did a horrible job of promoting the brand so it's going out of business this summer. Hence almost everything on their site is marked way down, and this weekend it's all 30% off on top of that.
Consider their super-slim jeans (fit like Levi's 511s I think) and that green popover. Also, check out the belts and shoes. And if polos are your thing: they're probably about $15 each, all discounts told. Stay away from their dress shirts unless you're cut like a marshmallow.

There's no comparison, really. It's true, this is the best way pizza can be. There's a really nice place in Ann Arbor that deserves to be on the list, though. The dough is a little breadier than is traditional, and there are plenty of more experimental toppings (fontina and grape with a sprinkling of bleu cheese is great), but it's excellent. They also have some really nice soups, pastas, and pastries.

Yeah. It's that effect where the photo has a lot of vignetting and shift into green-ish tones to resemble old film production.
I'll make an example: It's a pretty bad picture to lomo due to the sky but w/e
No lomo

It's that effect where the photo has a lot of vignetting and shift into green-ish tones to resemble old film production. thanks a lot for the explanation, yes this is a very popular effect amongst flickr "photographers" (whether digital or film). Probably for the worse, it definitely gets annoying with overuse.

For your first visit I highly recommend staying simple and just ordering a pizza margherita (mozzarella, tomato sauce, basil). This may sound bland but believe me, the combination of good ingredients + salt + olive oil + wood fire will blow your taste buds away. Good luck and tell me how that place is! I've yet to find a restaurant on that list that isn't top quality, but would be interested in being proved wrong.

it's not like that blog offers any good photography, or diverse and fascinating subjects, or beautiful things, or insight into a variety of styles / cultures you might not encounter otherwise. It's so narrow.

Yesssssssss. Man do I love me some Loveline. This guy used to run a server with a random stream and I would just stream it all day ("Phil's Loveline Archive"). It went down a few months ago though
Adam runs a podcast now but it's not nearly as great as Loveline was. The premise of the show and Adam + Drew team was something special.
Seriously great radio. Listening to that show you could go from laughing like you've never laughed at some stoner pothead calling in to quietly listening about a troubled but intelligent nine year old girl talking about her abusive father. Rarely is something so funny and informative and so interesting at the same time.

I've always had problems with dress shirts. I just found out today my body type is athletic, this explains so much I feel your pain. As for dress shirts, you just need to get your size right and you should be fine (though stores usually don't keep a big stock of sizes with large neck-sleeve differential). S-M-L-sized shirts are the real humdinger, they're never cut trim enough / the sleeves are always too short.
If you are looking for a cheaper alternative to the BB extra-slim, I've found Land's End Canvas's poplin shirts to be a pretty good fit as well. They are a bit more casual than the BB extra-slim but come in more colors and are about half as expensive. The deal-breaker for me is that the sleeves are about an inch shorter on the medium Land's End shirts, but I have abnormally long arms. If you're a 15-16 34 the medium should be about right.

this blog inspired me to update my wardrobe. i went to jc penny to get a black dress shirt i needed and since i was the only person in the store this old lady and a gay guy had me try everything on. (I read that over and don't take it the wrong way, it wasnt creepy )
my size is exactly 15-16/36. I'm just under 6' though so whatever you call the bottom part of the shirt is usually too long. my other friend is tall as shit and i just let him know about all of this. its a conspiracy

To think that I would have missed this if it wasn't for the Pony Express. :D I've been so busy with school and work that I completely missed the on Delorean's new stuff, on top of the other gems you shared. Well done, sir.

Wow please make this a regular blog - it really upped the quality of my random web surfing (e.g over stumbleupon)

JWD can I have your stumbleUpon username? I would love to keep up with stuff you find on the web. Maybe you would like to see what I find too :p
Nice work on the blog. I've been trying to get around on my own Tumblr but I can't seem to find time
Me and my friends are always looking for this kind of fascinating and inspiring websites. I'm a marketing student and a lot of my friends are designers so we find a lot of cool stuff.

Sorry but I don't StumbleUpon, if I find interesting things share them either via my (personal) tumblr or (usually) my twitter account. Oh, also I kept up an account on an image bookmarking service for a while but I don't post much to it anymore.
I will make this sort of blog a regular thing though, promise!

Man too bad I have a ton of stuff I think you might like bookmarked but there is no way I could link you all of them stumble would had been much easier.
I have thought of doing something similar to this on my blog since all my friends keep asking me for my bookmarks and they are incredibly hard to keep digging out of Firefox.
If you keep this up you have a new follower JWD and I will be keeping an eye on your taste in women.
Edit: Requested to follow you on Twitter (DoctorOoo).

afaik steps + Show Spoiler + i read something about petting a cow but I can't find that, maybe that's the last step? (I guess I left without the suit, and didn't enter my car immediately because of it (when I went towards the parking sign) and instead walked backwards and found the cow.

However, the loveline is great and just before the break (1/4th of the way through the gas/bday episode after like 10 farts and Dr.Drew running out of the room every time) : + Show Spoiler +Adam: Drew? You gonna be with us when we come back? Drew: That depends. It's in your hands, Sir. A: Alright. In my hands? D: Well, yea. In your ass. A: Thank you.

wow, what a stupid waste of time go to work nude and get fired. did that first actually, didn't know it was required.
But the ending is basically you go to work and no one is on the road, no one at work. Then you walk outside the building roof and see yourself jump. The End. So fucking retarded.

I totally have a man crush on JWD after browsing through the list.

totally agree with everything on this list, except the pizza. I am completely in love with the brooks brother's extra slims, one of the very few shirts I've found that don't mushroom like crazy when tucked in. All in all, great list. Good music, good clothes, good women.

What a mockery of bowling.
That style of pizza is good but I prefer NY style which means I have thousands of good places to go to.

There has to be other ppl out there who think super skinny jeans on guys is kinda feminine. I can't be the only one who thinks that guys should stick to looser close and nothing skin hugging (unless it's for utility like for athletes). But again, that's my personal stylistic opinion. I think skinny jeans are part of a certain crowd and I also think that for Asian guys (as in guys living in Asia [not Asian Americans]), super skinny jeans is more mainstream.

To each his own, but I look at the second picture you posted and just think "that man's clothes do not fit". I'm not going to advocate obnoxious, skin-tight jeans (which the first picture is bordering on, hard to tell because the wash is so dark) but I really believe that if you have several inches of extra material around your pant leg you are doing something wrong.
Just because we're men doesn't mean that it's acceptable for us to all dress like we are 40-50 pounds overweight. If you're tall or slender you should wear clothes that will make your good physique obvious, not hide it. That's good advice no matter your sex.

I was going to comment on your taste in women, but that's a big waste of time. Bias vs bias, who is the most arrogant of the two of us? :p

JWD, can you keep doing these blogs? I was enjoying them. If you can't find the time, guess I'll just have to be disappointed
