OGN has a new show called "Dreamer", which is a documentary about a specific Progamer. It's narrated by one of the OGN commentators, and it talks to people related to the progamer, goes through their lives, their accomplishments, and the little things (like nicknames).
The Teamliquid Translation team is looking for someone to translate and timestamp episodes in the show. The show is about 45 minutes long. Unlike other OGN shows, it does not come with subtitles. This means, that on average, it'll take you about 8 hours to finish an episode.
We don't expect you to do the entire show by yourself. What I'm hoping for is fans of specific players will rise up to translate/sub the documentary about their favorite player.
Episode List:
Episode 1 - Yellow Episode 2 - NaDa Episode 3 - Stork Episode 4 - Reach Episode 5 - iloveoov Episode 6 - July Episode 7 - Boxer? Episode 8 - Flash? [I don't remember the episode orders] Episode 9 - Cho Hyun Min
Post here or PM me or Roffles if you're interested. It's okay if your Korean isn't perfect, as more experienced translators will be quality checking. However, your listening skills should be fairly decent as it'll be more difficult than the other shows because of the lack of subtitles. Keep that in mind please.
Thanks ~

I would love to help out, yet I don't think I can have the time dedication. I'll see what I can do.

If you're interested, please leave timestamped translations like this:
0:05 Hi, I'm Yellow. I'm the Silver Surfer. 0:08 Boxer: Yellow sucks lol.
Time designates the time at which the line starts.

I would so do this if I were Korean. It's seriously an honor to help out like this, so I hope people will jump at such an opportunity! I'd be willing to help out with anything else, but alas, I'm Chinese and am unbelievably busy at the moment (and will be for many "moments" to come ARGH!!!
|
Hope you guys find some help for this! It sounds interesting. :D
|
This sounds really awesome, can't wait to see it subbed.
YellOw and Stork FTW :D
|
Fucking a... I'd be all over this if I had some time..
GL to anyone who does this, not having subs is gonna hurt a lot. Any one who steps up to this is a real dedicated fan!
|
Wow 8 hours to do an episode? That's intense :S. Makes one really appreciate the subs team even more (I know this is partly because of the lack of subtitles but still...)
|
wow thats a lot of time the sub team needs a friggen medal.. hope you have the time to do one of these..the community would cherish them.. thank you sub team..
|
Does anyone have any youtube links or non-torrent dl links?
|
Skimmed through an episode, and then realized why it will take 8 hours.
Nal_RAWR: talk to milkis whenever you can on IRC. He will provide you with the episode, and few things on what you have to do.

supernovamaniac will be tentatively working on the first episode.

just throwing that out there

Youtube annotations are simply like softsubs.

Bumping. Need someone to take on the Reach episode, and the iloveoov episode that will air tomorrow.
|
Um, so can I ask what happened to the translated videos? Or were they translated? If not, can you just give me the full video list so i can look them up?
|
I'll work on the iloveoov episode =)
EDIT:
Didn't realize that this was so old! If this project is still going on though, I'd still be interested in working on it =)
|
O fuck yeah, new translators
|
Is there any update to when the episodes are coming out?
|
o.o Yeah it'd be nice if the new translators worked on this, old BW progamers n stuff, its all epic and community flocks to translations like this

Basically nothing ended up being done because most of the people that were interested in translating dropped it after realizing how much commitment it takes. Things like that tends to happen.
To be honest, it's likely not going to happen unless I manage to find chunks of time to work on it during Winter Break, which likely won't happen because frankly I have more important things to work on at this point in my life. Basically, some one needs to step up at this point to make this happen, and sadly I will lack the time to commit to subbing something that long.
I updated the episode list, at least.
|
If only I spoke Korean. Cmonnn subs teamm!
|
Yeah, it'd be awesome for a translator to even just do one episode ... no need to commit to the whole thing. Please =)?
