Why'd you want to have another domain pointing towards this domain? I mean yea, I can understand if you'd get tl.net, teamliquid.com and other versions of the same to help people get the adress right, but with the suffix changed to something obscure, why not just use teamliquid.net instead of teamliquid.tl - all the traffic will be going through teamliquid.net anyhow, right, so the different domain won't in any way ease the traffic load on the main domain? Are you just doing it for the 'coolness' of having .tl instead of .net? Or is redirecting through a gateway giving the owner of the redirection domain all the traffic count for advertisement and site popularity ratings?

While mirrors are useful (alternative web server if this one goes down), redirect domains controlled by 3rd parties are risky and here is why... Ambiguity can sometimes develop when people link to Team Liquid on their blogs, etc... So eventually they might start using teamliquid.tl instead of teamliquid.net. 5 years down the road if the teamliquid.tl domain is lost (perhaps its owned by a separate entity that is "kindly" redirecting to teamliquid.net) or the owner of teamliquid.tl decides to redirect to his own website, etc... problems result obviously. Even if a 3rd party does not own teamliquid.tl, and it is owned by TeamLiquid Administrators, that is just one additional domain name to maintain. I don't think this will be an issue because I don't think anyone will actually use teamliquid.tl because it is not significantly shorter than typing teamliquid.net.
