So tonight ive been going through youtube finding the intros of my favorite cartoons when I was a kid, and id like to see yours, its amazing the feeling you get from seeing something you loved as a child again today.
I loved this so much as a kid, I really should try to download this show somewhere if I can.
oh god the music, the x men ripoff, I must have rented the 3 episodes they had of this at the local videostore 40 times.
I used to love this show so much, I cant belive they actually showed it on local tv, I only remember bits and parts but it was childhood defining
I reckon I also rented the few videos of this about 30 times, loved this.
I dont think I have to explain this one, if you missed this you missed out big time.
now this is one I dont have to explain
there are a ton more, but I dont wanna spam my own thread.
What amazes me the most is the music, I love every single one of those tracks and im sure those cartoons pushed me into the music I listen to today, Id say im sorry for all the newer people that grew up on other cartoons, but im sure they had their own defining shows and that in a few years they will feel exactly the same about the next generation.
Now its your time, gather all ye ancient ones and show me your favourite cartoons that defined your childhood, and lets keep this nice and mannered
OMG I love Mighty Max. It was one of my favorite cartoons when I was kid.
I even recently downloaded some epis and tried to watch it again. While it did bring out nostalgia, it just wasn't feeling right like it did when I was kid ^^
Duck Tales and Pinky and the brain were really good, and while we are on the subject of imagination and adventures, any of you remember this one fondly ?
When it comes to nostalgia, the first cartoon appearing in my head would be Beast Wars. Also it was the first and the only show/movie that have ever made me cry. + Show Spoiler +
yes, it was Dinobot's heroic sacrificial death that caused it..
Also as a request I used to watch this anime when I was a kid in China (probably Japanese dubbed with Mandarin) around the early 90's where there were these people in the Gundam things, but they controlled the Gundam by actually move their bodies inside the cockpit. And if the Gundam got hurt so did they.
And no I'm not thinking of any of the Gundams or Neon Genesis Evangelion. Someone who knows what I'm talking about please point me in the right direction.

ummm lol? Thats pretty much G Gundam...........google it. Or Escaflowne as he man earlier presented, but Im like 90% sure you're talking about G Gundam.
I'm still trying to watch this without getting a huge banana grin on my face :D
Also this:
Man, I remember almost every single one of the posted cartoons and could even hum along with the intro's. Must've spent most of my childhood watching Cartoon network lol.

Yeah other people have told me it sounds like G Gundam, but I've watched some clips on youtube and it doesn't seem familiar. Maybe my memory's just screwed up though.
wow. I remember my entire family would watch Are you afraid of the Dark every friday evening as family bonding when I was younger. Now I miss my family. TT
I would have posted swat kats, he man, transformers and the like but I didnt wanna spam my own thread from the start and I knew that everyone saw those classics
im sure there are quite a few fans of this here ^^
any of you ever saw this one ? It was a classic when I was 5 years old
I cant belive how much I love this intro still today, just gets me pumped up cheesy as it is, the show was awesome
oh crap, just rememberd this one, il watch this again for sure and im sure my age wont take anything away from it, its just that good.
ok now this one gets a bit more obscure, I have no idea where I kept watching that on tv when I was a kid, but I loved the crap out of it.
I think my favourite of them all would still have to be Saber Rider, cowboys in space in robots, cant beat that for a kid, if only there were dinosaurs... I remember back when I heard my first metal album, Iron Maidens Somewhere In Time, and the first guitar harmoy I heard reminded me of something I couldnt put my finger on, made me feel nostalgic, then later when I found the intro to Saber Rider again I realized why, guitar harmonies are still the best part of heavy metal for me <3
This thread shall not die, old people ASSEMBLE !!!! lets get some non cartoon shows up in this mother, il start with the one I probably watched the most as a kid
Holy shit, Might Max, I forgot that show existed. I see these cartoon nostalgia threads all the time on the internets, but there always seems to be one show that someone posts that I completely forgot about.
I've seen a good deal of beeast war episodes, but I have yet to see all the beast-machine ones. I remember watching the last episode and going "Optimus! no! =(: + Show Spoiler +
hm...I also remember watching the Transformers Armada series when I was younger, and I found the final battle between Optimus prime and Galvatron to be the coolest thing ever....but other than that, I was raised on old-school nickelodeon and Toonami.
