Stop bitching about the music someone plays when they stream. It's their stream and it's their taste, they can listen to whatever the fuck they want to. Besides, are they forcing you to listen to the music? It's not like most of the streamers talk into their microphone while streaming. Just mute the sound and play your own music.
The complaining makes sense when someone analyzes replays while playing some avant-garde free jazz, but that rarely happens.
Basically, stop crying about streamers that don't have the same taste in music as you. I'd expect more from Starcraft players, fuck.
You want others to ignore the music while you can't ignore their complaining? You'd probably enjoy the stream more if you ignored it.
I mean, I agree people should stop complaining, but not because I have a problem with them disliking the music that a streamer I like plays, because if they stopped complaining and got rid of what they didn't like from their senses themselves, or in general just didn't complain, they could probably enjoy it more.
But, but, what if it's not the same as what I listen to? *sniffle* *sniffle*
Honestly though, I haven't had a problem with anyone's music yet, not even Kawaiirice's Kpop. In fact, I've actually discovered a bunch of new music to listen to, like Stelar Parov, from Drewbie's stream. The only thing I find annoying is when people fill up the chat with complaints, though normally the mods are good at generously warning and banning people who feel they need to contribute negativity to the stream. :p
and stop bitching about ppl crying about the music someone plays when they stream. it's their opinion stream and it's their taste right, they can listen complain about whatever the fuck they want to. besides, are they forcing you to listen to the music crying? it's not like most of the streamers complainers talk into their microphone while streaming to u. just mute the sound and play your own music ignore them.
basically, stop crying about ppl crying about streamers that don't have the same taste in music as you. i'd expect more from Starcraft players, fuck.
The thing is that when I'm watching a stream and look at the chat, it's 60% music, 30% trolling, and 10% actual discussion and theorycraft. I guess it's too much to ask for people to talk about the actual game in this age of imageboards filled with socially inept morons who think spouting memes is funny. It's getting so ridiculous that when I'm talking about Starcraft strategy and such that people are starting to call me a troll because I'm not discussing whatever music is being played.
wow some major QQ going on in here from both sides...
nobody forcing anyone to watch a stream sheesh u dont like it get out. if you dont like the music and the trolls find another stream... not like its 2009 where the only featured streamer is ret...
Yes it is too much to ask for. If you want to talk strategy find some people to do it with on a regular basis. You calling people inept morons isn't going to make them talk about strategy lol
Yeah, that's life, it sucks, it gets annoying but there are ways around it, one of them is just not acknowledging any post that isn't serious about discussing strategy or theorycraft. Usually if I'm watching something Starcraft related and chatting at the same time, I'll ignore anything that just says "LOL IMBA" (unless it's a buddy that I know is joking around) and try to respond to the people that I can actually enjoy talking to. Hell, sometimes you can get people to join in if you just don't acknowledge the BS. I remember huge discussions on the old Bnet in Brood War that would last hours just because I would talk to one person to start with and other people just can feel compelled to join in.
Not that it's guaranteed, sadly. (and sorry if this thread turns into a whinefest about your whine fest about whiners )
No lie though, creating your own private channels in a stream would be nice.
Nah, this thread is intended to be a whinefest. I rage really hard when people don't see the easy solution to an ultra common complaint and I guess it's reasonable for people to rage just as hard at me.
Pro Tip: Mute button and listen to your own music. If you want sound effects, just make gun sound noises and photon cannon sounds with your mouth. Problem solved.

It's a blog, not a discussion thread.
If Travis is allowed to make a thread about Zerg QQers then I am too.

I heard that in Issac's voice from Dead Space and imagined a bunch of Marines with foam fingers.
I don't mind music (auto-mute when the commercials go on after games) but I'm really annoyed when streamers decide to continue streaming kpop even after the commercials are over ~_~

Watch out, some idiot is going to reply to you saying "but you should be thankful that the streamer is allowing you to see ANY of the show AT ALL".
Some guy who doesn't stream anymore played terrible music to me. I enjoyed his speaking, so I left the volume up. Eventually the band grew on me. But that's pretty rare.
I don't quite understand how one can actually dislike music to the point of bitching about it via spam. I have the impression that most people who don't like kpop just don't like it because they associate with American pop icons like Justin Bieber etc who MUST BE SHOT ON SIGHT OH MY GOD THIS IS TERRIBLE LIKE SERIOUSLY TERRIBLE IT'S IMPOSSIBLE FOR ANY INTELLIGENT HUMAN BEING TO ENJOY THIS.
Just.. like.. chill. If you don't like the music to the point that it NEEDS TO BE GONE FROM YOUR EARS THIS MOMENT, there's a handy mute button just for that purpose. Or you can choose from any of the other 50-some-odd streams in your handy-dandy sidebar.

Lol. I recall the goood old days.
On the topic of stream music, I really do like some streamers music, and and indifferent to others. And cringe occasionally, but there is always the mute button
At the end of the day, it is their stream so they can play any music they want and viewers have a mute button. But at the same time, streamers too need to cut down on their QQ'ing. If you play music on your stream (especially polarizing music) then you're inviting people to criticize your taste. It's courteous to not force your music on others, but if you choose to do so, that's fine. It is your stream after all. Just be ready to accept comments from viewers and don't go around making rage blogs on TL or go on banning sprees just because someone said "kpop sucks", that just makes you look like an insecure baby.
Yes, we appreciate your streaming. But accept the fact that not everyone likes your taste in music.
