I absolutely hate wearing clothes if I don't need to. Obviously, I put on clothes when I'm going outside, but when I'm alone in my room? Clothes off.
When I was young, I always wore pajamas to bed, then, one day, I just didn't. I loved it! It was so much more comfortable, I didn't have to worry about anything riding up or bunching up and becoming uncomfortable during the night, it was much easier to regulate my temperature and I could really enjoy the feeling of my super soft blanket against my skin! :D
So many things are uncomfortable about clothing! Under-wire, bands, seams, they all are lumpy or squeeze you or are just uncomfortable! Bleh!
So why am I ranting about this right now? Well, it was a sunny day so I decided to put my turtles outside ( these cuties ). But, alas! It was 1pm and I had yet to get dressed. I threw on one of my dresses and hopped outside with my turtles. I ran into some of the senior girls in the hallway and they immediately commented on how dressed up I looked and inquired about the occasion that had me in a dress.
O.o
Okay, I think women win here. Throwing on a mildly nice dress and doing absolutely nothing else can make us look "dressed nicely" while guys have to worry about pants and collared shirts and all that crap. Which brings me to another note: I have absolutely no clue why women take so fucking long to get dressed! Alright, you have to match colors and styles, I get that, but you should know your own wardrobe well enough that it should only take a few seconds of thinking to figure out an outfit. Actually putting on the clothes should take no more than 2 minutes! In fact, I'm pretty sure I generally get dressed in 45 seconds or less (2 seconds if I'm throwing on a dress to put my turtles outside!).
So... Am I a stereotypical, lazy gamer that sits around naked in bed all day, playing games and munching on snacks, or do other people feel the way I do about clothes?
I always wondered why girls take so long to put on clothes. In gym class back when we had co-ed, I could change in under fifteen seconds flat (Yes, we counted). Girls always took at the very least a minute.
Also, dunno how you can stand going to sleep nekkid. It feels terrible when I do it.
I like being shirtless like Gray in Fairy Tail because the fresh breeze is great over my rippling body. Oh, and because I generate too much body heat and it is more comfortable that way.

I like atleat wearing boxers but I get the sentiment, for me though I think it is more of a love for blankets, one time I was on mushrooms and I just gathered all the blankets I could find got naked and just chilled in my pile of blankets sooooooooo nice
I am shirtless right now. Honestly, I can't fathom how people can live without shorts/pants/jeans on. It is just so uncomfortable (for me at least). Being shirtless is ok lol.

Wat.... really.... I admit I am shirtless most of the time I'm in my room alone. I sleep with only boxers because I toss and turn alot in my sleep and hate waking up tangled in my own t-shirt.
Eh, I figured this blog might have been a bit too risque for some people's tastes, but... hell, it's my blog. I'm going to write about what's on my mind. Read it or don't, it's just my thoughts on life!

haters gonna hate! people are way to serious about clothes, same thing with shoes I walk most places barefoot (a lot harder in the city) and love it!
I am pretty sure if I were I girl I'd be pretty pissed about this blog. This comes along as "No idea what other girls are doing. I put on on whatever and look gorgeous. Proof: Insta-compliment the moment I step out of the door".
But then again I have no way of knowing. What I do know though if a guy would post along the same lines he'd be ridiculed for 3 pages.
I guess I don't really have a point haha. Enjoyed reading all your other stuff (beer yummy) but this hit an off note.

it was way too risque dude! i was completely taken aback and need to take some time off from reading TL just to settle my mind...this has all been such a traumatic experience I think watching the grass grow will be much better than all this talk of girls and clothing

When I was a kid I would wear boxers and a t-shirt. Eventually I lost the t-shirt. The only exception is if I'm in a bed with someone else (rare)... I wear shirt + boxers.
That is except for when I'm really tired... if I'm having trouble making it to my bed then I might collapse on top and pull the covers over me despite what I'm wearing XD
People should just dress how they want and not judge other people's sleep-clothing decisions though.

I guess I should edit. Their compliment was along the lines of "you dressed up today!" when all I did was throw on a dress that was on my floor and hop out the door. No shoes, no jewelry, nothing else, yet, since the dress was nice, they told me I looked dressed up! Hell, I think I still have bedhead. Their compliment was clearly on the "outfit" and not about me!

I think you just lost massive ratings on this blog.
My blog isn't a popularity contest, though I do feel honored that you and a few others have been reading it regularly. It's just my blog! I find having my blog here is much less problematic than having it where people I actually know will read it, they would REALLY get upset if they were to read a post like this one. However, I don't see the point in censoring myself to please others when it comes down to a medium solely for my own comments. Truthfully, I treat this blog more like a less-dramatic diary than a public forum.

I want to rant about balance in games, I want to rave about my favorite characters and foods and I don't want people reading my blog or posts just because I have mammary glands. I am not a "gamer girl." I will by all means call myself a gamer, but I don't think there is any difference between real male and female gamers.
I think I'll keep my next few blogs focused solely on games and away from my life and opinions until this stupid "omg, it's a girl" drama chills out.
Er you did bring up girl vs boy issues in the op... although it's quite frustrating seeing people post and having nothing to say other than "wow it's a girl" in blog #10 or whatever it is.
No need to get angry. The issue is much on us guys part. Let me demonstrate what dropping the word "naked" does to the average sap:
So just be careful with those N bombs. People might get hurt. (Edit: Also please remember how all your other posting has been received quite positively.)

good luck with that, I think it would just be easier to except that people are going to make something of it and you can either go with it or just ignore them!
My little brother is one different boy, and I guess this relates. He went through a fad where he wouldn't wear underwear, but he would wear swimming suits under his pants. This went on for a while, and now he refuses to wear anything at all down there. He is Captain Commando, the epitome of free-balling.
I have a nice pair of linen Pj troussers which I wear when using the PC. Sometimes I go naked, but not for long, sweaty butt in direct contact with a chair isn't pleasant. In regard to sleeping, Nearly Always Naked.

Yeah, it won't ever chill out. Your choices are to keep all your blogs gender-neutral (or at least keep the subjects more neutral) or to accept that the comments will come and just ignore them.
Well I don't mean to be insulting though I guess it's hard to avoid, and I'm not sure why you would call it "rage". I think you know as well as I do that there's a trend if you've played WoW - and I believe you do or have played in the past. I mean, it's no secret that big ole' WoW nerds will give outrageous amounts of attention to girls, especially in MMO's - or so it seems. Naturally, it's common for some the ladies to like that kind of attention and actually, some actively look for more. I'm not saying that that's what you're doing, let me make that clear right away.
I apologize if you're just doing your thing, which you very well might be. I shouldn't judge. I often hear that some people say "a few girls are ruining for everyone else" in this scene. When I played WoW, it was inevitable that every couple of months, naked pictures of some girl would start circulating until she quit. Maybe it's girls like that that make idiots like me facepalm when I see topics like this one, though perhaps it's a legit blog post and not a way to get attention.
Anyway, didn't mean to get off topic. Sorry about that.

If you don't want any extra attention because you're a girl, then why do you include it in your posts? If you've played WoW and at least been on the internet a bit, it can't come as a surprise that people will view you in a completely different way if you're a girl. So if you just want to be viewed as any other randomer on this forum, you might want to not show it so much.
Of course it would be awesome if people could just ignore the sex of people, however that's not the case and it probably never will be. Especially when you bring the word "naked" into it.
Truly love the topic of this Blog!, its something I myslef ponder upon from time to time and personally I hate clothes! I go with as little as possible when I am in my appartment but as many have pointed out atleast wearing boxers is cinda ideal when not sleeping just cause of not wanting to ruin my chair/sofa etc ^_^
But I often findmyself in my "blanket" (Stuff u dry urself off with aafter taking a shower ) when I go to bed at night even if I did take that shower when I got up the morning before.
And concerning the Girls will always be treaded differently on the internet I just belive that is a part of society as a whole, dont belive for a second that males and females are beeing treaded the same in the generall "real world" and I really dont belive that its something that should be done either. Perhaps its condecending of me but to me ladies should be treaded alot better then what I would treat another dude, finding it hard how to put my thoughts on the matter to words but in lack of a better discription women should be treated as prinsesses in most cases unless they are Hags

Udyr could have gotten points. However, to the childhood version of me, the only other possible references would have been comparable to the Ninja Turtles are Thundercats, GI Joe, or He-man.
Majority of girls I've dated were gamer girls, so they had a similar mindset to yours, they didn't take long to dress. I dated a musician once, she on the other hand would prepare herself if we were going to even have sex, which is kinda retarded. Since don't you have sex, before and/or after you shower?
The gamer girls on the other hand, would often walk around in their boxers and a shirt, or sports bra, female room mates were no different.
Also I remember seeing a study that being naked helps your body regulate itself better, and you get a better nights sleep. I have to agree with this.

To stay on topic: get home => pants off
Guys tend to post that they are "Just an average guy" "man" etc... quite often, including their own gender in many posts. Her just mentioning she's a girl gets more attention, not because she might want it, but just because she's a gal.
I'm willing to bet you since she seems to have played WoW she knows first hand how stupid shit can get for her just being a girl, automatically she either gets invited to raids because she's a girl or automatically doesn't. Very few male gamers aren't biased at all, having led a few 100 raids on BH, and having been a part of 100's more I'm quite certain that this is an issue.
She's a gal, she should be allowed to be a gal, and not just be a "Girl gamer" but a "Gamer" like she stated =/
I can tell you didn't try to mean harm though through your post.

I do not confirm to anyone outside of my guild what my gender is. I always answer to "are you a girl?" or "hey, riku, I hear you're hott" with "I'm a bear!" Truthfully, I find that SC fans are generally more mature than WoW players, so I was hoping that'd hold true.

Haha I used to be sooooo like you. Somewhere in my decrepit blog here on TL is a long angry post about just wanting to be a normal gamer and not get extra attention for gender and such. Backfired for the most part, but whatever. Basically you've just got to relax.
You can rant about imbalance. You can trash talk opponents. You can babble endlessly about food. You probably shouldn't make blog posts about how much you like being naked.
Is it fair? No, not quite. A guy could probably make a thread about how much he loves freeballin' or captain commando, (which made me LOL btw whoever that was), and not get too much flak for it. You've got to just stop caring, because you absolutely can't stop people from reacting in such ways, (especially when previous blog posts are just cosplay and such, which again, I've posted in the past too so, I get where you're coming from)
not only would we get less flak, hardly anyone would care. who wants to talk about another guys junk. at best it would turn into a topic about talking about our own penises. which is something a lot of men love doing, the reasons for which are beyond my comprehension.
And shorts all the way - the one time I've been naked in the room (decided to eat before I got dressed after the shower) the firealarm went off in the dorm. Which resulted in me standing outside in my now ex-girlfriends skirt - was the closest thing lying around. On the upside, I was later awarded with an award for the sexiest legs in the dorm...

I appreciate your concern, but I have been playing MMOs and roaming the interwebs for the past 10 years of my life. My "rage" comments was more of a joke than anything. However, if I want to talk about enjoying being naked, then I will. If it blows up, well, then good for the people who wasted their time ranting at me. Trust me, I don't really care, but I do want to give a truthful view of myself to those who have been following me. I'm a loud-mouth who loves beer and video games and cosplay and lounging around in the nude. Sure, I have a set of jugs, but I think a number of gamers do (that was a moobs joke, btw). I'm not going for attention, I'm just being me, and I don't care who gets their panties in a knot over it.

Tastes terrible, especially light beer. Holy shit light beer tastes bad. I imagine a 50-50 mix of piss and shit probably tastes about the same. Certain flavored vodkas are decent, but yea. Don't really like alcohol.
edit - shit was not supposed to use post 4k until I finished something... NOOO next perfect square ending in 000 is at 9000 fmlll
edit2 - wait no im retarded and on crack LOLOLOL can't do math wow
I'm not trying to baby you, lol. You're a big girl with 10 years of internets experience (tm). I'm merely pointing out that posting about how much you love to be naked on a forum consisting of primarily men aged 18-24, might attract a bit of the very same unwanted attention you just decried.
If you don't care what other people think, which is all I recommended in the first place, then we're in agreement, lol.

Sorry, I just hate the whole distinction about being a female. Truthfully, I have often wondered if I should just exclude it completely from all of my posts and comments.
I want to rant about balance in games, I want to rave about my favorite characters and foods and I don't want people reading my blog or posts just because I have mammary glands. I am not a "gamer girl." I will by all means call myself a gamer, but I don't think there is any difference between real male and female gamers.
I think I'll keep my next few blogs focused solely on games and away from my life and opinions until this stupid "omg, it's a girl" drama chills out.
hahahaha
where in the world are men and women treated the same as if we were all the same gender?
This doesn't happen often and definitely will not be common in our life time. In small groups of friends that know each other really well it happens but I can't think of many other places.
As to the stereotype of gamer girls being attention whores... stereotypes exist for a reason. After posting pics of yourself cosplaying Alexstrasza (sp?) then writing a blog (on the internet, anonymity does wonders for stupid opinions) about how you love being naked i can't see how you would ever fathom you'd get mature responses.
I understand it's your blog and it's really not outrageous but I'd recommend either a) Ignore troll/flamebait posts b) Keep your blogs on topics that you would be comfortable talking to a random group of 16-28 year old boys about.
If being naked falls under b) I'd heavily recommend a)
Quick questions, will you be marrying a male nurse? and will he out drink you?
I totally agree. Clothes are for the weak. The best times of my life are when nobody is home and I can just wander round the house naked with some pumping music.
And yeah I don't get girls taking so long to get dressed. All the girls I know spend ages trying on different combinations of things before parties etc. I guess they find it fun. Personally I just grab the first thing I see on the floor and wear that, and I think I look pretty decent most of the time too
I completely agree with you Riku. Panties and skinny jeans are just so annoying to hang out around my own house in. I mean it's not exactly comfortable and you are supposed to be the most comfortable in your own house, right?
First, I think this is the only time I've heard anyone play up the challenges of choosing pants and collared shirts.
Second, choosing a dress with matching bags/jewelery/etc and putting it on is only half of the process that is primping.
I have waited on girls getting ready, spending 30+ minutes in front of the bathroom mirror applying makeup and tussling their hair to get it "just right."
When i still cared, it only took me about 30 seconds from getting up to being dressed with shirt, tie (yes, i wore ties because i liked them... until i got fed up with people asking about it), etc. In fact, for me it takes only 3-4 minutes from "starting to get up" to "having just left the house" every morning.
I don't see why either gender should take longer than at most 5 minutes to get dressed, except maybe women for applying makeup (though if that takes longer than 5 minutes on it's own, there is something else wrong).
Well, i'm a very practical person anyways, so maybe my view on that is just too limited.

Yeah, it won't ever chill out. Your choices are to keep all your blogs gender-neutral (or at least keep the subjects more neutral) or to accept that the comments will come and just ignore them.
Agreed.
Half the people will go OMFG IT'S A GIRL. And the other half will think + Show Spoiler +
For future reference, girl gaming blogs never go well (unless it's a guy bragging about his gaming gf). No matter how you write it, it'll make you seem like you're attention-whoring. -edit- Girl gaming, as in any blog that mentions that you're a girl and that you play games, regardless of what the blog is actually about.

This is sad and reprehensible to me. She's female, it's part of who she is -- so she shouldn't have to come to expect degrading or negative discriminatory remarks regarding that. You don't see people going, "omg it's a jew" or "omg it's a black person" or "how typically gay of you". That's just wtf, right?
I'm glad to see that people attacking Riku in this blog were by far the exception, but I definitely don't like this attitude of, "eh, you should expect it." Nah man, nah ... that's not how it works for anybody else. Why should our fellow female liquidians have to deal with it?
On topic -- I tried sleeping naked once, I just couldn't deal with the idea of LCF (loose curly fries) being spread everywhere. However, I did try pooping naked recently, and oh My GOD it felt so amazing, so free, like I was flying while pooping.
Also, Happy the flying cat for the win :D Aye sir!!

Of course you should exclude it, the vast majority of posters never mention their gender, sure if you read enough of one person's posts you could infer a gender but if you were to say
rant about balance in games ... rave about my favorite characters and foods
why would you need to mention your gender? Oh I like pizza -- I'm male by the way. You could probably even make a blog about liking being naked without making your gender obvious.

Fucking LOL. Reading blogs at work is sometimes bad, cause you bust out laughing in the silence of programming "clickyclacky" and everyone is like...wat.
I'm not sure if I initially read that in the right context, but the "I don't hate clothes, clothes hate me" fits into MC Hammer's lyrics perfectly...so I just pictured OneOther all alone at his KHAN fanclub meeting going
I don't hate clothes, clothes hate me! *hammer time music*
In hindsight I'm pretty sure that's not how it was supposed to be read. :p

The kind of scary part is that if a guy made a blog about being naked all the time, the thread would be exactly the same. Sometimes imagining a forum environment IRL humors me.
"Sup guys, I'm Matt and I am always naked when not outside of my house." "Oh cool, bro, me too." "Yeah, I love getting naked"
Hahaha.
I've fucking lost my mind. Woohoo!
Anyhow, I don't normally jump on the "haters gonna hate" thing but do what you want. Not like anyone on forums (or not on forums) should make you do something because of their opinion...Maybe I'm just too secure with myself. Your first few blogs mentioned you were female and they went over fine.
I wouldn't say lazy so much as simply efficient =p you dress according to what you need to do and whether or not the senior girls thought you were overly dressed for an occasion (in this case taking out your turtles <3) is subjective. You can think of it as, their standards are lower, such that a mildly nice dress for you, is godlike to them.
To relate, after i get home from work at the hospital or the university, first thing i do is switch into my track pants and hoodie and off i go prancing downstairs to my computer. When its hot in the summer, screw the hoodie, just sit there topless. If i need to take my dog out, "hmmm. is it really hot still? or is it a bit windy now" i have the same 2 options as mentioned above.
I too have had a lot of experiences with the "what are you so dressed up for?" which leaves me with a "O.o" face on seemingly evident of the decline in casual attire in modern social protocol to the point where anything beyond t-shirt and jeans appears showy. I had found an awesome stand collar dress shirt with these awesome square magnet buttons and a pin that held the collar down (nice and crisp) and wore that with my jeans and everybody asked "where ya goin? you got a date? do you have a presentation today?" and at the end of the day, it made me sad to think back and notice that everybody's wearing a plain crew neck shirt with some silk screening and the same R&R jeans across my entire lecture hall.
so no, i'd say you're perfectly justified in your thinking riku :D
OT: As a guy, I am most comfortable in boxers or boxer-briefs when lying around.
WRT your complaints on the female distinction here... think about what it would be like if you weren't an in-shape and relatively attractive woman. Say you posted your cosplay skimpy picture and people mostly gave negative comments on your appearance. I think it's likely you then would not make a blog post here saying how much you enjoy being naked, even if you still did. Of course this is just a hypothetical scenario.
This obviously is a fairly large community and comprised mostly of men. The overwhelming majority of posters here are not well known - they blend in with the rest of the forum. There are some ways to stand out and be remembered such as contributing guides and volunteering to work on the site. However, just by the nature of being a woman on these forums and making that well known you will stand out. Even if you aren't doing it as attention-whoring, it will draw a lot of attention to yourself, and so some people may associate your actions with attention-whoring anyways. We do not understand your true motivations, so I won't go that far.
By all means, feel free to post whatever you like (within reason for the TL forum). Just keep your audience in mind with the posts if you want to avoid some of this.

Guy here. How the hell can you girls get those things on? At my school, I look around, and actually have noticed that the maximum width of the pant legs on girls's jeans go inwards and then back out around the knees. I dunno, but as a guy, i have a generally constant tapering, to a degree, from the tops of my legs down to my knees, but i wear straight jeans. The tightest piece of clothing i ever wear is probably the elastic band of my boxers, or my belt, if i have one on.
On topic: Loose clothes are better than none at all, imo. Plaid, baggy lounge pants + socks is the way i go when my family isn't around, especially in summertime. Once, i tried going full on(or off, depending on how you look(please don't) at it), and ended up putting a towel between me and my chair for the extra protection, and less dampness on the chair.
I'm totally not getting this thread... I don't know what's up with you, but wearing clothes is my absolute favorite thing to do in the world. And just the feeling of scratchy wool on my hot, moist skin... I love it. I always wear as many layers as possible. Often times when I'm chilling with my friends, they'll ask me why my face is all red and beaded with sweat. Man, if it were up to me, I would live in the North Pole so I could wear a million layers all the time. Reading this blog reminds me of another wtf moment I had when I was watching Closer, during the part where the chick goes "Lying is the most fun a girl can have without taking her clothes off... but it's better if you do," wtf what does that even mean???
i love sleeping naked (not entirely naked but as less clothes as possible) ... but when i get out of bed, i have to put sth on or else i feel kinda ... vulnerable
Erm, well, it's great that your new wife likes SC! That's awesome. Even greater that she is so casual about clothes and posting half-naked pictures on the internet!
However, you probably should tell her how to use apostrophes. The grammar nazi in me is screaming for a holocaust.
