I have 2 partitions C and D. Planning to format C and install there. Can I run some mounting program from D and install from there?
Or run the ISO from a flash drive?
Many thanks in advance.

Do I have to use a flash drive with ONLY the ISO file? 3) the computer can read pure ISO file? I thought it needs a mounting program? thanks

Then when you start your computer start it from the disk I think like f11 if it doesn't automatically reconize the disk. But yeah remember if you overwrite a partition then it deletes all data there, just something I always forget >_> Edit: to answer number three yes it can but in this case you will not be reading the iso on your computer.

Different mobos have different keys. I've seen F10, F12, Del, Enter, etc. Somewhere in the BIOS, there will be a boot sequence configuration which you have to change. Move Flash drive to the top and then reboot. 2) You should be able to boot from external HD if your mobo support flash drive. You don't need to delete anything as you are able to select which file to boot. 3) I don't think you can just copy and paste the ISO over. Try opening up the ISO and just copying the contents over.

OMG already regretting not getting win7 earlier. I was too afraid of the hassle and sc1 issues.

How is it for sc1? I didn't install broodwar on it yet and I'm starting to worry I'm gonna be too rusty.
