Thanks for visiting this page, because I would like to get some help from You, TLer. Since around summer I've been feeling down pretty all the time, but that's not what I want to talk about in that blog (keep in mind my grammar fails a lot, so that's hard too) , I want to know some artists who play sad/ambient/dark ambient music. Uhm, also I was on a school trip with my new class (I think that's the right word o.o) + another class from our year. It was quite cool I must admit, the weather was quite horrible but the time was well spent. The girls are good looking too, so there was something to enjoy ^_^ (by looking at them, I am awkward socially because I am quite insane and bi-polar) So yeah. Sad music, music about love, music about wars and sad events... Please share good tracks/artists who sing about that (I know people like Justin Bieber sing about love, but that's not something I want right now, lol. It fits when You are having good laughter with gamer bros in TF2 with Demopans though.)

I think you need a litttle cheer my friend some spice some action no need to listen to sad music.
Also since you mentioned what you dont want to talk about that is obious the only thing i am now intrested in talking about.
To be honest, it's not unreasonable for him to want to find something that fits his mood. I'm bipolar, and my music tastes tend to suit my mood as well...I generally don't listen to hardcore or something when I'm happy, or metal. Usually it's quieter, more somber stuff. No lyrics ambient stuff is my personal favorite.
Not sure if it'll fit your taste, but I really love Tycho when I'm depressed/unhappy.
How about changing your mood from sad to chill =) If you want some of that i can suggest some pretty good ones. Other than that, hope you feel better bro
No need to be down bro! Everyone goes through stages like this in their life but the best thing you can do is bang on some trance and dance like the Starcraft star that you are my friend!

The Fragile is an amazing album, yes. Rob Dougan's vocal tracks are also some of my favorites that should fit what you're looking for. I'll give some songs instead though, rather than general references. Tossing out a lot of random stuff, hope you've got an eclectic music taste.

I am friend of all and best friend of none. There are people who were together with me for three years in one class and they don't know anything about me. Even those I've hang out a bit. Life's a bit hard on Your own and after You get used to it it's hard to live another way. Thanks a lot for music, great tracks so far, I appreciate everything You've linked and given here

You should check out some Buckethead, always known OF the guy but never listened through his stuff. Always thought he was your typical guitar shredder, but oh boy was I wrong. He's an absolutely astonishing musician.
His album Colma is so great, kind of sad and very emotional. Also Electric Tears is a great album as well for that type of feel, here's a taster from Electric Tears.
This one always brings a tear to my eye. His struggle to be taken serious by society and members of the opposite sex, trying out several approaches only to be met with the same reaction every time. His despair drives him to leave reality for good, metaphorically committing the murder/suicide of his worldly self to finally realize himself as an artist. In the end, the audience represented by the grumpy emotionally dysfunctional men, bluntly says that it does not even care about his fight against the demons within himself.
The searing truth is so hauntingly beautiful and so infinitely sad.
Here are a few of my favorite bands, I had to resist the urge to post more than 1 song per band(1 exception) Let me know if you want more or have any questions about the bands etc.
I personally find that depressing music puts me in a good mood sorta. Its like the fact that the emotion is expressed so well through sound is just beautiful. Its like a sad movie or painting. It is not easy to convey emotions through such mediums.

Please let me know what you think of what I sent you. I always love hearing others opinions on music. Correction, Usually love :p
I'm not too much into metal music, I don't have that feel for it. So I won't judge Your tracks, because I just don't like the genre (the things You linked I'd already consider hardcore in my opinion...) I have some nu metal in my music playlist but that's not the same. Now back to listening, there are a lot of tracks I should listen to. Or something. I really want to live.

No worries man I understand. However, Look up some of the ambient Burzum stuff. The guy made a few albums that are just keyboards/synth.

Thanks a lot Songs in this thread are refreshing of some sort. (: I might feel better. I am not sure.
One of my favorite tracks is "Exit Music (For a film)" by Radiohead, and it is one of the saddest tracks I can think of. Schubert's "Unfinished" symphony (no. 8) has a nice mix of sadness, joy, and anger which you may enjoy as well.
One of my personal tracks might fit your ambient/sad desire also, it begins with a melancholy piano piece followed by vocals, it is quite soft and somewhat atmospheric. Can check it out below. http://soundcloud.com/calmwind/tracklock-draft
