And wow is it fun! As you start to get into it, and start to "see" the strategy, what's the best next move, etc, it just has an awesomeness to it. Just the idea of a turn-based card game is fun too. I still am a beginner and there is of course an incredible amount to learn. It seems there's much more to the game, more abilities and everything since I last played. And there are sooo many cards, I just wonder if I'll even have the time to learn everything. Because I still spend most of my time with Starcraft, and even when I play Magic, after a couple games I go back to Starcraft.
Speaking of which, there's something really fun and switching back and forth between these two games. Magic is slower paced, at least DotP14 is, so it's kind of a nice break to the frenetic gameplay of SC2, while still being a fun strategy game. I think the two games complement each other well.
I also "rediscovered" GSL and watching SC2 tourneys and streams. For a long time, maybe a year and a half, I still played the game a lot but just didn't watch. So now I switch around between watching & playing SC2 & Magic. Quite fun. Guess I won't have time for all those other awesome games I got but never finished lol...Rome Total War 2, Thief, GT6.
Gaming is awesome . At the same time I realize I'd have a healthier lifestyle if I did some things differently. But hey, girls are in the picture now, so that feels like enough LOL.
