And if so, how?
I have this thing where I want to actually have some money. I just read Tim Ferriss's Four Hour Work Week, and I fully plan on pursuing that path, but other advice is still welcome.
For example, I was playing this online game and some guy was talking about how he made money by buying old bikes from the recycling center (or maybe it was the junkyard), refurbishing them, then reselling them.
Not a way to make lots of money, but still different. Little cool stuff like that. Thank you.

That really matters a lot. Sucks for you if you have a high pay job but don't enjoy it.
I am sure you'll be able to find a better job as you get older since you're only like in your 20s? I assume?

I got a couple decent scholarships but all that money dissapeared instantly cause I had to use it pay off university and accomodation fees T_T

I save a lot. I have quite a lot of money for someone my age.

It really doesn't take much to make a lot of money. Basically, you have to be always vigilant for opportunities, and be willing to make loads of contacts. Walk around town and meet people, eventually you will find someone who needs something, like a bulk order or something, offer to find them the best price for a small percentage of the cost. Put all your skills on the table, good at setting up computers and fixing bugs? There's a huge market for that everywhere, be like a neighborhood computer consultant. Eventually you will find some product or service that everyone desperately needs but somehow lives without. This is your goldmine. Go and put some property under collateral for a bank loan or talk to a venture capitalist (this is where contacts come in handy) and start that business. Remember to incorporate it so that you don't have to deal with personal liabilities and it's easy to walk away from should it fail.

I dine at Dorsia every Friday at the booth closest to the bar and juxtapose to the window facing 5th Ave.

I make decent money as a business IT consultant, but it's lots of work. However, once I am specialized in an area few people know about I can freelance for $200/hour.

i saw on another thread that your not willing to post how much you make, but how much do the other commentators make that have been doing it for a while like the three guys always commentating sc
on topic, i'm not rich, but I don't really see much value in money yeah its important but I really don't care much about it, if I ever bought a lottery ticket for shits and giggles and won I donate most of it to charity, i'm not materialistic at all so I don't see what I would do with it >_>
ps: don't bother asking me for my money saying i dont care for it I still have bills and school to pay

To make readers who aren't super star poker-players or luckybastard* SC commentators feel better, I successfully managed to overdraw on my overdraft not once, or twice but THREE times in my uni days. Good times.

Was conveniently born into money.

Find out what you want to do, get an education for it, and do it.
Don't try to do any scheme to get rich without an education. You may get lucky, but it is usually gonna fail.
Once you have education you can easily get job, and if job pay bracket just happens to be high, you just happen to get lots of money.
It is easy.

Just get a good degree and work hard. It will pay off in the long run.
Get rich quick / working from home / 4 hour work week stuff is generally bullshit. If it was that easy to get rich, everyone would be doing it.

I make a grand total of around $1000 a month, interning for a local tech company, but I'm a college student so I that's my excuse. I think it's pretty good since I get to keep about $500 of it every month as my allowance that I can spend/save as I want (I mostly save). I pay my housing rent but my parents pay for all my school tuition, which is nice :D

I make a measely 30k-ish a year =/ (Had to cut hours cuz of school). It was cool when I first started full time, now i just want the damn degree so i can make $

lol and just so you know, cardiothoracic surgeons are starting to lose some of their income because of interventional cardiology, and a lot of them are starting to do angio's to supplement their income.

Like Someone said when you actually have a job that doesn't involve playing poker all day, saving is very important. Since most of us go to a University, any retainable funds are awesome.
I try to keep myself on a budget which has worked for me for the past 3 years or so. So far with a mediocre paying job working part time I have upwards of 10k in my account. I pay for everything as well (bills groceries etc.)
No where near some of the others but not too bad for someone who is 20 and independent
