use notes for whatever area you don't understand while reviewing the tests

Go through everything and condense it down to a few note sheets. If there are practice exams, do those, looking up anything you don't know. Non-technical class: Read every page.

be sure to have some relax time scheduled too. like half an hour of rest after every 3 hours or something. there's no way you can do 8 hours of non stop study and be efficient. you could also consider some time in the end for repetition. personally, it doesn't work for me without it. if you find that you can't get it all done in the time available, decide some parts to be left out, focus hard on the rest, and hope for the best. gl now get your ass off internet and study

2) Get off TL ... Personally, I don't use any tricks or secrets when studying. Tell yourself that you're fucked if you don't study and just grind through it. Yeah, it's annoying and boring as hell. Nothing you can do. Force yourself to constantly stay focused. It'll be hard but possible. When you actually get down to it, spend more time on the derivation of formulas and fundamental concepts if it's a technical course. It's better to know how to derive a formula than to memorize it. After getting down the fundamentals, do HARD problems. Don't waste your time on easy 2-second ones. If it isn't a technical course, stop and go to sleep. Last-minute studying isn't likely to help.

Don't rely on drugs when you are in a fairly default situation. If you have a one time emergency and you start popping red bulls or some shit I won't give you a hard time, but I don't think turning to drugs for a practice 'method' is what you want to do. Edit: Depending on what you mean by 50 pages of 'notes' you might be in an emergency situation. Why are you in this situation?

Tip #2: Find previous test/similar test, they would be useful Tip #3: Sleep properly before the test. The optimal sleep time is 4 hours or 6-7 hours. If you ran out of time then just sleep for exactly 4 hours, or else you will wake up in a very tired state. Now follow these steps: Step 1: Take a look at the previous tests to see what sort of question is going to be given out. Get a feel for it. Now there are two scenarios: Step 2: Phase 1: absorbing (3-4 hours) - going through the slide make sure you understand them. It's better to refer to a book since slides are just notes honestly. - if you are stuck at some slides, just take a note and skip them. May be after some slides, you'll go back and understand them. If they are practical material, make sure you understand the calculation. - continue until the end of the slide. You might want to skip the few last chapters since they are normally additional stuff (do it if you think you can get away with it) - Take a short break (20 mins) Phase 2: reinforcing (2-3 hours) - Now scan through the slides again and make sure you understand everything, all the plot-holes that you made earlier, make sure you cover all of them - Take a short break Phase 3: finalizing - Do exercise, sample test, get question from the text book and do them. Put yourself in something similar to the test that help to enrich your problem solving experience for this subject. Step 3: Go to sleep (see tip 3). Make sure you wake up early so that you will have around 30 mins to scan through the slides for the last time, iron out any last minute issues. Step 4: Get your id, pen/extra pen, calculator and get ur ass to the test. Step 5: ??? Step 6: Profit !
