REGARDING THIS
So now I have extra copies of Slaughter House Five, Good, and Evil, and Fear and Trembling.
What should I do? I mean the most honest thing to do would be to contact Amazon, and return them.
But seriously, who the fuck would do that? Should I just sell them to make a quick $25?, or give them to friends who might want a copy.
Someone mentioned this was going to happen, and it did.

just pretend they are textbooks and follow your heart

Sell them to a bookstore and say its not even opened. Like barnes and nobles or books a million.
|
Next time dont get you panties in a bunch when a book hasnt arrived in a week.
|
Contact Amazon and be like "THANKS FOR THE FREE BOOKS BITCHESSSS!"
|
Use them as Christmas gifts.

I'd send 'em back. From your last blog:
Amazon definitely knows how to treat her customers. I'm glad I give them my business.
Yes they do, so treat them right.

Ok I feel bad about saying "use them as christmas gifts." Do what Jibba said, or do what your heart tells you.
|
if you are to return it, ask if you can get UPS to ship it for free, since they screwed up

A lot of people are saying I should return them.
Well fuck that. I'm selling them for $$$. I get screwed over by life too much to just let some free money go.
I have a conscious, and it's telling me I GOT SOME BITCHESSSS!!

Some people try to take advantage of the system, but I didn't. I got lucky, and I didn't even expect the books to come. I'm going to either give them away to people who deserve them, or sell them.
Especially when it was a error either on their part, or UPS. I have no idea which, but it was an error on their part.
Thanks for the advice though.

At least man up and admit it's stealing instead of dancing around it and blaming them for being a large company.
Your ethics of good and bad is only based upon the wealth of the person you're taking it from. If they're poor, it's bad. If they're rich, it's ok!
If they had screwed you, I wouldn't be writing this, but they treated you well.

See, I'm always right in the end.

amazon's free shipping usually takes a long time, and as for the UPS things being delivered, here is possibly what happened.
1: Package gets picked up, (scanned) 2: Package gets delivered to hub (scanned) 3: Package gets loaded intro truck (scanned) 4: Package gets delivered (scanned) Sometimes theres too much work that day so driver didnt have time to deliver the package (all trucks must be back by station by 9pm, no exception, and some trucks have to drive literally 100+ miles a day)
If the driver doesnt have time to deliver the boxes, hed have to scan it so that the computer knows that it didnt get delivered, sometimes the computers glitch.

Thanks for the moral lesson Immanuel Kant.
I know it's stealing, and I never said what I was doing was correct in terms of ethical code.
It's true I feel no pity for Amazon since it's a large company, and stealing from the doesn't really bother me that much.
I was ORIGINALLY going to call Amazon, and explain. They would of probably been grateful, and sent a return package to get the books back. They might even let me keep them, or take the books back, and offer me a discount on free merchandise on books/etc.. on Amazon.
HOWEVER, it was a mistake in their part. The guaranteed shipping, and delivery date was 2 days before I made that blog complaining about not receiving my package. Either UPS, or Amazon had to fix the situation. Amazon happen to take the initiative.
They only treated me well to appease me to still become a loyal customer. It had nothing to with morality, but more to do about getting more from my wallet. Which actually did happened, so they are smart. It's a business, and it doesn't want to make itself look bad. Especially when itself was the vendor.
You make it sound like I wanted this to happened, but I didn't. I would of rather had my package at the time I would get it. I have morals, but this time I'll bend them.
I'd hate to be your son. You're probably going to yell at your kids when they take extra ketchup packets from McDonald's, and call them thief's.
Chill the fuck out.

In a sense you could say that he deserves to benefit from the mistakes of the vendor which makes it their responsibility to deliver the product without any hassle on the part of the consumer. Whether he chooses to send it back or keep it, it might make him a more moral person, but I don't think it would make him a thief if he didn't send it back.

This is what happens when you give retards the power to ban. They make the stupidest blogs ever and when social repercussion comes to tell them they are stupid fags they just ban everyone.
Actually it's not so much the blogs, can't really expecting quality from loosely moderated threads, but it's more your dumb responses.

Well... Amazon was nice enough to give you extra copies. You yourself said they know how to treat their customers, etc. You should call amazon and give them back. It's not like you need them, and if you want companies like them to be able to just send out extras of things, you should do your part by giving back what you got for free in the first place

Slaughterhouse 5 is the shit, though, honestly.
