Okay this is just to settle a debate.
My friend hates celery and I don't see what's so bad about it. She thinks it tastes like "the worst thing ever". I think it tastes like a normal vegetable. She thinks it tastes like burnt rubber. I think it's a good snack with peanut butter. She calls it hellery and .... I just call it celery. Like normal people.
So: do you like celery? Do you think it's disgusting? Do you think it's just alright? Let's all get together and share stories about celery!
Poll: Do you think celery is disgusting? (Vote): Yes (Vote): No

depends on people's tastes... for example, i really hate mushrooms I will vomit if I even smell one T_T

Celery is great. Your friend has unfounded problems with random things. Watch out.
|
I think celery is a good 4/7.
|
doesn't really taste like anything... just kinda crunchy.
|
How does your friend know what burnt rubber tastes like? o_O Celery isn't exactly awesome but it isn't unbearable either.

To me anyways.

I don't like celery at all. But it's not disgusting or even bad
|
It might just be one of the most boring vegetables in existence. Getting worked up over them seems a little rash. I mean, I don't think they're great or anything, but I'm with Raptor on this one: mushrooms are a far worse violation of taste buds than celery is.

It's okay cooked. I can't really taste it, but the texture is fine.

Hm I used to be like that for a lot of foods: asparagus, mushrooms, fish... but overtime I just got used to them. I don't like them, but I'll eat it.

Depends how its cooked/consumed. Raw celery is disgusting, I cant stand the flavor. Maybe chopped and mixed with something sure. Ive seen people dip celery in peanut-butter.
|
Celery is ballin'. It is such a great vegetable, healthy, chewy, and goes great with dip, and by itself. Fast to prepare, and cheap. 10/10.

By itself I have no opinion, I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it and eat it, but I wouldn't ignore it if it was on my plate. Although with peanut butter it's pretty good.

agreed. it's good with ranch also.

the fibers make it a big no-no for me. The only thing I want stuck between my teeth is plaque. The taste is a bit off as well -_-

No.

Celery, peanut butter, raisins. Yum.
I didn't like it when I was a kid, though. Like peanut butter and jelly, I didn't start liking it until well into my 20s.
|
omfg
Celery was like one of the only vegetables I'd eat when I was 8-10. I mean the taste is great, and it looks like it was made for peanut butter. Crunch makes all the difference.

I hate celery, mushroom, and pepper very very much. Mushroom & pepper are ok if they're well cooked though, since most of its taste/smell goes away. Celery is just.. ugh
|
I don't like it. I think it's pretty disgusting, but definitely not the worst ever...

Truth, as long as the flavor isnt as intense Im good. For some reason I find Bell Peppers disgusting. I get a headache or something when I eat it raw or semi-cooked. Maybe its just the flavor.

I'm totally neutral to celery. I wouldn't actively seek it, but I would never avoid it.
|
okay.. maybe i lied... i kinda feel like celery right now...
|
I love celery, spinach, mushrooms, onions, beef and pork liver, cheese, milk, etc. I used to hate brussel sprouts but they've grown on me. I hate licorice, spicy mints, red bean, irradiate...
As long as they're cooked/prepared properly of course. None of this "omfg i've been working cafeteria for 10 years and I still don't know that food can be overcooked and that you do not put tomato plant stems into tomato sauce"
|
Hate celery, and I refuse to eat it...
|
I don't hate any kind of vegetables so no
