what a sore loser. "okay guys, clan war. remember, NR20, no nukes, and NO CARRIERS."
also shit I'd have voted for the "you're a fag but it's still okay" option if I'd looked closer

lol "bm" that's a good one.

wtf bad manner you cant make a blog about whether or not you can 5pool in cw

haha, it looks like this Protoss spent more time complaining about the 4pool than he did defending it

Yeah he's a sore loser. Besides, if pro gamers can do it on a live televised game, so can others

lol, this is retarded. ANY build should be allowed.

It's still perfectly acceptable regardless of whether or not your a fag for doing so.

Yeah, Blizzard should totally increase the minerals needed for a spawning pool to mullify this instawin strategy.

july 4pools like 10% of the time.

It is sorta BM, but I don't really see why it should be 'forbidden' . There is no logical sense in the fact that you'll come off as a fag to the enemy clan, but it will probably happen.

That guy needs to grow a ..
whoops

That is absolutely ridiculous. 4 pool is just a super early all in build. Might as well say no all-in 5 hatch hydra break because if you don't scout it it's imba.

I think the answer to this is obvious.
+ Show Spoiler +You can't just 4 pool and run away with a win.
Dude.
Not in a clan war.

u can't talk in a cw except for saying gg
bm
talking = lose

I would agree you shouldn't do it, a cw is about finding out whose a better team...
Granted cheese win is still a win no matter how you look at it I.E. Why didn't the other guy stop it correctly.
But IMO is perfectly accepted but frowned upon.

if i cant 5 pool, then you cant proxy 8 rax bitches. ok but seriously, id only ever 5 pool vs protoss, scvs are too imba for me.

5pool on Medusa is a pretty popular opening for ZvP. That guy's just a sore loser. He saw the 5pool coming, for god's sake.

hahaha my first iccup game of the season: 5 pooled.
i guess it's acceptable, although it can be very irritating sometimes

I don't like 5 pool but I don't think its BM.

it's worse when you're playing your friend in the same room, and he turns around to see which spawn location you're at before 5pooling

In a NAL CW vs a korean team, BO1 style I 5 pooled and won. (It was very late at night). The koreans all agreed immediately after the game ended that it was not allowed and told me to rematch. So in some CW's apparently it isn't allowed!

There's nothing wrong with a 5pool. It's a viable strategy and one that the opponent should be ready for. Luxury does it all the time, he did it against Leta recently and he did it against Bisu before in the vod where combat-ex kept saying "i can't believe that bisu couldn't block the zerglings". Julyzerg used it on best during the EVER OSL finals.
|
Even in friendly games with clan mates I do 5 pool. It's a nice ZvP opening. I've been 4/5 pooled many times in CWs, I don't think I've ever lost to it.
Choice of build is not bm at all compared to some stuff I've experienced in CWs. Such as: - changing race on countdown - being called fag/gay/noob/abuser/newb - continuing to play in a clearly lost game then leaving without gg - pausing the game, chatting to an observer in a foreign language then randomly resuming - blaming some technical problem to restart the game when they didn't get the desired starting position - refusing to play on a map in the map-pool because they don't know it - after losing the first game, complain about lag and try to get player switched - being in the same channel as clan X-17

CLAN WAR RULES AND REGULATIONS
by. Angry SC Nerds
Introduction: To play a clan war is to be privileged that you are actually participating in a team event in which your sole goal is to win your part so that you can earn higher ranking among your peers and be better known thus having more privileges. You do not want to lose a clan was as you will also lose credibility among your clanmantes and probably be excluded of future events based on your suckness. That's why you joined the clan in the first place, to be in a place where you can hang around with other people and get a name/reputation which you can then use to fulfill your mind about the fact that you're on top of the world
Rules: When participating in a clan war, the following rules and regulations apply no matter what the circumstances: 1. You can't 4 pool your opponent; it's bm as this can grant you an easy win over your opponent regardless of skill level. 2. You can't proxy 2 rax; we had to find an equivalent to 4 pooling for Terran because then that would make it sound like Zerg is imba (which it is) 3. You can't cannon rush; same shit again, cheesing is for bm noobs because this gives you a free win; don't you get it? Making 6 cannons right next to your opponents' minerals where he can see them is insta win for you because he sees them and tries to kill them with all workers but cannons too strong and die. 4. You can't go carriers; they're too easy to use and very cheap, 3 carriers is insta win for you and it's bm because your opponent cant do anything about it; pros do it because theyre on another different level and they don't suck major balls like all the gosu foreigners do; don't you get it? Foreigners will never beat koreans period. 5. You can't go nukes, they take too short time to build and before you finish your 2nd unit he already is nuking your main and all you read is "<yourname> has been eliminated;" this is usually followed by a smash of your face onto the wall and your mom calling you from downstairs asking if you're having seizures again. 6. You can't manner pylon; they're too strong and delay your minerals too much to an insta lose; specially at our level of play (I got D last season!!! w00t!!!) where we need every single mineral we can get to perfectly execute our preplanned builds. It's bm. 7. You can't disconnect, because loss will show up in record and nobody will be ever able to know who won the game. Please understand that we don't have the balls to defend ourselves and explain who disconnected, we just go to the channel and when everybody asks you just say "I unno o.o" 8. You can't make stimpack; marines are too damn strong like they are already and zerg players cant stop; it's imba. 9. You can't make tanks; they have biggest range in game and kill everything with 70 damage shot with splash and kill everything around. This is imba because kills our sunkens and dragoons dont get close, stop it please, it's BM 10. You can't make mines; they're too imba and burrow himselves down the ground. Deal 200 damange and run faster than ling, theyre invincible too because never cna kill them when they get close. Tank kills goons easy and mines kills zealot easy its imba please stop it, please stop, it's bm ok?
Conclusion: Before going to clanwar please pledge allengiance to this book and swear oath to it for ever when you play a clan war. We don't care if you don't follow these rules in other clan wars, but against us please follow or we report you ok? Last time they banned an entire group because we said, easy as that, so please fear our threats and never do that again or we report ezpz. Stop playing like noobs already, grab your balls and play straight like men, like us, it's about time you guys stop making such gay shit and abuse race imbalance. Thank you.
|
WOW you put a bit of effort into that post, didn't you?
|
oh hahaha i didnt think youd actually post this
+1 internet points

4 pool is lame. Arguing that 4 pool is bm is worse. Take it as a man.
|
If you follow every advice from every retard, you can't do anything anymore because anything could be interpreted as being gay. Not only your build order, unit choice, tactics or style of playing - even the race you're playing, and the map. And besides, if you win even once you were obviously lucky or hacking or abusing, and if you lose even once you're obviously a worthless noob. So yeah posting this shit is "kind of" funny but really, just play 2 hours on bnet and you'll have at least 3 games with that kind of retards in it. In short: nothing to see here, move along.

I forge at 10, so in case they do a 5 or 6 pool, my cannons finish ASAP. If I knew they couldn't/wouldn't do that, I'd probably put my forge down at 11 or 12. It's like a four second difference

as for korean amateur leagues such as e-kasa, barbara, and whatnot, they don't allow 4pool, BBS, and other proxy all-ins, because they want quality games out of each clan/guild.
i agree, i'd rather see standard games out of By, Shield, Sea and others.
