Hi!
Our admin stuff recieved a complaint ID2816 from this player about this game
Admin ICCup.2easyAP reviewed this complaint and denied it with this reason:
Admin's comment: usaterran you used hack. You will be reported.
If your don't agree with this deccision you can complaint in this forum.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I go to log on iccup and find this little gem in my email inbox. Odd that they can ban you for hacking like this without giving you any way to defend yourself. I don't hack and have never hacked while playing bw in the 10 years or so ive been playing Looking for a little support so I can get my account back as it had pretty damn good stats and was at high C-.
Apparently this admin sucks too badly to realize that a decent T player is going to check for a 3rd when opening mech. How can he think I hack when I let those hydras completely rape me and almost let him back into a clearly lost game? FUCKING REDICULOUS. The game is entertaining enough
Heres the rep:
http://www.repdepot.net/download.php?type=rep&id=9891&name=usaterran vs Flower[Mutal].rep
I'd be more than happy to post any number of additional reps to prove my innocence.
I complained at the admin complains forum already..but..I don't have a lot of faith in that process.
|
some admins arent very good at starcraft.
|
I'm sure the many zergs who have raped me with ling all ins will vouch for me
|
Unfair admin decisions are apart of any game. You should go to a bar on a football day.
|
Ya I understand that but they can also correct their mistakes and unfair decesions.
There's a play review process in football
And in those situations no ones getting accused of being a cheater and being banned from participation. Its pretty freaking aggravating when you've been a legit player for years and all of the sudden youre banned for hacking.
|
you should make a clear well thought out post in the "complaint about an admin forum". Make sure you argue your point very well. Include different points in the replay where it can clearly show you are not hacking. Combine that with the only "possible" action they have on you, and provide 2-3 replays of other terrans doing the same thing (scouting a 3rd while meching). Odds are the admin is clueless about this game, and is just on a power trip.
the only downside to complaining about an admin, is sometimes it's the damn admin you are complaining about that responds in your thread, and closes it. I mean...how is that even fair? How can the admin you are complaining about, have the right to close the thread?
|
Ya my thread just got closed ALREADY without a single reason.
Fuck iccup admins.
I'm not going to even bother.
Its like trying to explain your case in a chimp court.. sigh.
|
2easy is a superadmin, so posting a complaint against him is useless. I tried before. (although it did get the game reversed.)
You have to realize that these guys work really hard for noprofit, so just be patient. If you didnt hack, then post it and it will most likely get fixed, don't make a thread here complaining about it unless they don't reverse the decision.
|
I used to be an ICCup Ladder Admin but this is really stupid. I watched the replay and their clearly was no hacking happening in it.
edit: -----------------
System detected hack from Your side, it has bend reported for checking. CAT admin made decision about Your ban.
-------------------------
It seems that you had another program running that was editing Starcraft like ChaosLauncher (or a hack lol) so you got banned.

For future reference: it's never a good idea to insult idiots on a level they can understand. ;(
I only sort of know you from gaming you a few times awhile ago, but since I won several of those games with tricky builds it seems unlikely to me that you hack.
And I have little trust in the iccup detection system being foolproof enough to instate bans before (according to the thread on iccup) the case has been reviewed (what the fuck is up with that?) because I've played against confirmed, banned hackers who hacked in a game vs me that the system didn't pick up and I've had it turn on and disconnect people that were certainly not hacking as well. It seems absolutely beyond ridiculous to ban someone without any hope for appeal based on an unreviewed case by a fairly unreliable system (which, sadly, all antihack systems are).
I feel really bad for you, but I don't think there's any hope for getting that account unbanned now, since I'm sure they'll have a burr against you regardless.

Several people in various threads have complained about getting that message when they had nothing running. Whether one chooses to believe them or not, it does cast at least a shadow of a doubt on the trustworthiness of that message.
|
I don't think being a superadmin allows you to privledge to avoid wrong decisions. I was a CAT superadmin last year, and it's painfully obvious that you were not hacking in that replay, but since the guy doesn't use his actual brain when making decisions, you are the one left to suffer.
It feels like alot of the higher up admins can do w/e they please and get away with it.
Cheloman gave my friend a site ban after he asked how to add more leaders to his team. He had asked about 5 times, to various different admins, over the course of a week. Finally iccup.mai-k helped him out and fixed his problem. 2 Minutes later, cheloman goes into the thread, and bans him for "asking the same question 5 times". My friend already had the answer, and fixed his problem....and cheloman comes in and bans him AFTER that? So basically, cheloman fucked over his whole team, because he is the one who set's the draws for the clanwars, and now he is site banned. Cheloman didnt even stop to think that he might be destroying a clan of 20 people, simply because my friend got on his nerves,......talk about a fucking powertrip.
I can't wait for sc2 to come out and ruin everything those retards take for granted.

Even if those admins don't get paid to do that job it doesn't mean they can do a shitty job. That is not a valid excuse. It's like when someone was given a temp ban because they offered to do the live report thread on some final and failed to stick around. + Show Spoiler +Doso was just temp banned for 2 days by Plexa.
That account was created on 2008-03-07 13:46:37 and had 115 posts.
Reason: Come on... It's a final, and you're not going to stick around and update results? That's just slack If you aren't going to do a voluntary job and put in as much effort as if you were getting paid when people rely on you and it affects them then you shouldn't have applied for the position in the first place.
I hope they apologize or something and fix it.

Ya I had nothing running at all except launcher and bw...and I saw a lot of other s complaining about it as well.
But ya hes a superadmin so I won't even bother. Especially after I insulted him (although he deserves it...) in the haze of my nerd rage I'll move on...with far less respect for iccup admins.

They didn't even look at the replay.

Oh I should mention..what made this especially irritating is I made a complaint about this game because right before I was going to win my opponent disconnected and I got no points for this game
And then as a response to my complaint I get banned lol. Awesome!
Not to mention..If I was hacking in this game..why would I call attention to it by complaining on it?
|
I saw the thread you made trying to defend yourself. The other admin didnt even take the time to watch the replay, or do ANYTHING at all, except threaten to site ban you for making fun 2easyAP. So basically he didn't give a flying shit if you were right or not, and instead of doing his job, which is to watch the replay, he simply threatened you again..
Seriously, the ladder is amazing, but some of the staff members need to jump off a cliff and die.
|
try this. as a back up so you dont loose ur C-. make a new account, and transfer your stats away to that account. that way even if you can have ur C- and just continue laddering.

Not really... maybe you've had bad experiences because you're rude? In most of my interactions my complaints and such are dealt with fairly quickly and are done correctly.
And that argument is totally valid. The reason the guy at McDonalds messes up your drive-thru order is because for minumim wage he doesn't care. But at the fine dining establishment where you pay $100 per meal they better get it right!

Poor argument and poor analogy. The guy at McDonalds is getting paid still. It may be a job he hates, but he HAS to do it for money.
Being an admin on ICCUP is voluntary. They choose to do it.

I forget at what WCG it was, or who the players were.
But one player had his computer crash, and the admin looked at the screen and saw the minerals and gas and said something like, "Blue has more points, blue wins."

That was creating a thread for the finals and not staying around to update the results - which is a common courtesy for any thread creator for LR. Amplify that by the fact that there were no shortages of people creating the thread (it was a final ffs) and you have yourself one huge annoyance. It wasn't until like game 3 before a mod arrived to update results (steve iirc) and people were coming in an complaining in the thread just because one person wanted 2 seconds of fame in creating a thread? If you're going to make a thread and not update results either the games must be almost about to start with no one around or you make one hell of an op. Neither was true in this case.

Yea seriously, he was doing it for himself, not for the community. To not even stay around to update for the final which many people are going to watch is just a douche move.

Plexa I think he was using the guy you banned as the example of what not to do, not you.
Edit: Because he signed up for a big responsibility (Like an iccup admin volunteering) and then didn't take it seriously.

Apparently I hack too. Dont really know how and why, but in an rep from a couple of months ago bwchart detects 10hacks from my part. Seems like I select/assign a bunch of comsats in controlgroup 1. In reality they are marines and medics but bwchart dont agree. Dont know what causes this but I dont use any 3rd part program when I play on bnet (as I did in this game) and have never even tried a hack. I guess it's just a bug.
EDIT:This is in bwchart 1.03G have not tried the new version since it was buggy.
|
That's a bug with bwchart, I've seen it happen in reps from tv games. :p
|
You basically just agreed with me Plexa lol. I was justifying the ban, although I may have been incorrect when I was live report thread, I meant the thread describing the event in the Tourny forum he made.

I lost points. The rules stated I could ask for my points back if there was no clear winner in the game. I did just that. I got a message back saying that the other guy disc hacked me and they gave me the win. I definitely wasnt disc hacked. It was absolutely a router issue. lol

It's just all the accounts I've heard about them.
|
Just make a post explaining the entire situation, post the replay, and pm the other superadmins. I do not have such a low opinion of iccup staff, even try making the complaint in a different account name so 2easy doesn't spot it immediately.
I am sure you will receive ban reversal and personal apology from 2easy if you just keep at this. Don't give up.

Happens often when admins suck at the game they play. Keep appealing up the ladder.

Were you banned for the replay, or because of the antihack?
|
Well my antihack was on, and the iccup admin said I was banned because their system detected something. They never explain at all what was detected or the nature of the offense other than it was "a hack". As far as I can tell NO admin EVER viewed the replay.
Personally I think it was something my opponent did that triggered the antihack, or it was a problem with his or my router because that game ended in a disconnect. I can't remember if I exited iccup after the game(instead of going to the lobby), but it's definitely possible. That's why I reported the game (like i've done many times in the exact situation) to get my win because of the "disc in a clearly won situation".
|
I posted a replay of a disc but the admin didn't bother watching it because "the download validation code is too hard to read" and couldn't DL the replay within 2 seconds. i realize they have to deal with a lot of stuff daily, but come on.
|

@TheFoReveRwaR Connection problems might trigger the antihack. But I don't think this is a common problem as there have to be several coincidents for that to occur. I think there was/will be an update to distinguish these events from real hack detections in the adminlog. @Australian Then why don't you upload to repdepot.net? Those sites where you first have to solve a captcha, then wait one minute and finally find the download link between all the advertisements are really annoying.
|
I've played you like 101001010 times on b.net west and I'm pretty fucking sure you never hacked.
|
This is the most ironic post in the world, because when I was an ICCUP Admin 2easy overturned all my hack decisions because "ICCup launcher is 100% unhackable. Impossible to hack on iccup server"
By the way, 2easy is the head ladder admin. And yes, he's a D- player at best. And no, he doesn't know a thing about Starcraft. For that matter, neither do the other two admins that run iccup along with him. Hence why I quit being an admin.
Edit for the person who said iccup admins don't get paid: 2easy and the other superadmins do in fact get paid. So there's really no excuse for his level of incompetence and ignorance when it comes to doing his job. However, one thing you have to realize is that this is how all projects of this nature work. I'd bet money you won't be able to find a competent WCG admin either, and more than likely there are a noticeable amount of incompetent people running KESPA and the likes as well. Likewise, all these incompetent people are making money while a few competent people try to clean up their mess for them.

"ICCup launcher is 100% unhackable. Impossible to hack on iccup server" I don't think you'll get anything more specific than "There are currently no known/public hacks which circumvent the antihack and thus it is very unlikely that somebody hacked with antihack on without being detected" from anybody who is competent. If you want to talk about problems with the antihack go to the technical problems forum, which is frequented by the antihack author.
