I love American Football it's fucking amazing. My team is the patriots but I supported them since 1999 so shut up. I also supported Chelsea (I'm from that area) before they got big AND barcelona so I have some weird knack for being lucky for teams .
Anyway, NFL kicks ass. Everyone should go check it out. It's like chess + rugby. W00t NFL is coming to England and it's Pats vs Bucs, my friend Axel's 2nd favourite team is the bucs! So we were pleased about that. Although the tickets are about 170 quid which is a joke wtf.
I'm posting this cos it's 5:12 in the morning but seriously anyone who hasn't checked out American Football should check it out.
None of this 'it's for wimps in padding'. Let me ask you this, would you like mike tyson to hit you in the face with a boxing glove on? But...it's padded?! Surely it doesn't matter?!
It's awesome how everyone gets to rest so much. It means everyone is at the top of their game. Each play is 100% max energy. You get some crazy shit coming out of it too man. Great 'plays' and shit. Tom Brady wins at life. Imagine how much money he gets for salary + sponsorship AND has the fittest girlfriend out there, Gisele Bundchen the highest paid model of 2008!
I've been throwing my American Football. I guess I can only get it to go about 30 yards at most. I haven't checked. Are you supposed to rotate your hips? I heard power comes from the feet? I don't know. It's hard enough to get a good spin.
And what's the best channel for NFL in England, anyone know? Anyone from UK know of any TV packages I can get so I can watch NFL when the season rolls out? Or is it easy to watch it on the internets?
I felt bad for you guys getting that Giants/Dolphins game a while back - that was fucking horrible. Sorry to subject the rest of the world to that shit show :[
I also feel bad for you because I am a Giants fan and you are a Pats fan. Hardy har har.
Axel loves the dolphins purely because their fucking logo is a dolphin jumping IN FRONT OF, not through, a flaming hoop; AND it has the most gimpish looking helmet and face :D lol.
Btw did you know tickets sold out SO fast for the pats bucs game. All gone in 30 mins except for 15k in reserve. Ppl do love the game in England it's just hard to get it past a lot of ppl. It's much harder to explain to ppl than football (soccer).
BTW it really makes sense that soccer is called football. You hit the BALL, with your FOOT. American football is just like Rugby football really...I mean ofc you call it football because it's a snappy name but srsly I think the rest of the world gets to call their game football more than NFL ppl get to call their game football. The should call it handoval, that's probably closer.
ps im gona sleep now kthxbye
PPS where the fuck is my 5 star rating this is like the strongest blog on TL.

lol he supposedly is an expert at the sport.
Maybe he just came from playing a whole game? Who knows o,o
Ive been pats fan since 96 or 97 when i started watching football with my dad (who lived in boston during his grad/phd schoolyears). it was heartbreaking when they lost last year at the superbowl. Unfortunately i havent really kept up since then...sc started taking up all my time. haha.
It's funny....every guy in England (I think) has a secret desire to throw the NFL football. Whenever we take it to the park all the guys stop to watch and are like shouting 'damn why did I have to get YOU :@' angrily at their frisbees inside their heads.
I have no proof that I supported the patriots before they were good but well I just picked them out of the teams that I knew from the madden game that my friend had xD back when I was a lil kiddie. Same goes for the dallas mavericks. I just liked that it had England in the title and also that they were the Patriots because I like a bit of Patriotism.
The USA's national anthem is by my mind the best in the world!
PS rofl on the music show called Jools Holland that I was watching he was like 'NOW, please give it up for the legendary Booker T!' and I was like 'what the hell is the 5 time WCW champion doing on a MUSIC SHOW ><!' Shame on me :p.
If you get a chance, try to watch a college football game at some point. Obviously the players aren't as fast or strong as in the NFL, but the environment is a lot louder and the games are more emotional. Things like home field advantage carry a lot more weight.
So does ANYONE have any opinions on the me being able to watch NFL thing? Good streaming, sports channels in England, any ideas? I'll do some rooting around but wondered if someone could give me a head start.
ALSO I would love if someone can link me to some classic football games streamed. It pisses me off to have to DL them.
i asked my dad about watching old games once, and he thought it was weird, or that it was only exciting live or something. im not sure if a lot of people have that frame of mind but it's not easy to find em.

i love college football. you can't beat the atmosphere.
check out these vids:
this is our football stadium with F-18 flyover before the big game against ohio state
you can feel the intensity of the crowd (this isn't even in the student section where it's twice as loud)
make one in the sports and games section. I would love that shit.
My new created team the Brooklyn Tommy Guns is just about to make it to superbowl if I can just beat these pesky sea hawks! I had to kill the patriots earlier D:

we need a sports youtube thread
Oh yea we do need one of these.
I love football so much. Here's a Vince Young hightlight when he played for Texas Longhorns in college. Now poor vince young is nowhere but on the bench. Oh and this is to counter LosingID8's USC highlights.
