Does anyone know if racepicking or playing random is legal in Korean leagues? Players never do it, of course, but I wonder if it's a KeSPA rule that players have to pick a race and register with it, or what exactly the rule is.

In the tournament that Plexa linked, Savior told kespa beforehand that only in the case if he was to play versus GoRush in their group (Jangbi v Savior, Shine v Gorush) he would be playing Terran. He played all other games as Zerg.

I've seen the first part before (i.e you can pick Zerg, Terran, Protoss or Random for a specific match, as long as you give one week's notice), but I've never see the second part you posted. Do you have a source for it?

No this is incorrect. The only criterion for changing race is they have to alert KeSPA one week prior to the match - in Proleague, MSL or OSL. This is so the other players have enough time to practice for this change.

First time I've seen ensnare used in ZvT and one of the few times I've seen ensnare used effectively too lol

Possibilities for RR vs XXX: ZZ vs XX TT vs XX ZT vs XX TP vs XX ZP vs XX PP vs XX Only 3 possibilities for ZR vs XX: ZZ vs XX ZT vs XX ZP vs XX

This is interesting, though. I didn't think the players had any obligation to stick to a particular race; I thought they could pick whatever they wanted on the spot...lol. I imagined the only thing barring them was the competitive climate which begged for them to play with their best at their best for every game.

July vs Chojja on Neo Guillotine http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/games/1128_ChoJJa_vs_July there actually is a vod out there somewhere, it's just not in tlpd yet I remember someone said that there used to be an old rule about races (like you couldn't use the same race twice in a row or something?)
