Nice pictures as usual If there were any spiders in here I would never open one of your threads ever again.

Awesome pictures as always. The close-up ones are amazing looking.
And as a side note I really like the color patterns on that cat!

You must have a very good camera to get so nice colors all the time

haha, I love the shot of the old man.
I think it's just my weird tastes, but my favorite out of this set is the one of the drain duct. lol.

I like the cat and that picture of the cracks.

cat bild was good
try experimenting more with contrast and light, there is a slight "dullness" to the pictures

I already said it was 2pm by the time I got there and that I'm aware the lighting was not great. Con-crit is fine, but seriously go back and read the notes before coming in and saying something I'm already aware of and commented on. There was also a dullness to the place - hence I won't be going back.

Cool photos - more cats please

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing
Have you thought about becoming a professional photographer? I think you can do it...;p
|
Do you ever photoshop the pictures?
Is it considered standard to photoshop pics or is it like hacking in sc?
|
first 4 are beautiful but the next 2 photographs are horrible tbh.
|
Some awesome shots, as usual, Never.
I think the old man one was my favorite.

You can push or take away a lot more color with those as you can specifically adjust the midtones, highlights and shadows.

So I heard photography without a ridiculous amount of contrast tastelessly applied for no good reason is worthless.

I don't really get what's so horrible about them - they're only flowers. o.O
Yes I do photoshop my photos - no one really doesn't. I know PH - but I've been told before my photos look a little dark or too contrasted so I've only been using auto-levels and not really going by sight. I still can't properly calibrate the contrast on my laptop because of the OS being Korean. (FML.) I'm going to play more with curves as you suggested in the future, but I am not an expert with photoshop so I really am just experimenting with it for now.
I kind of wish people would stop critiquing my photos like I'm a professional photographer. I've noticed a lot of people posting photos recently (yourself included PH ^^) who don't get this same kind of harsh crit. I'm fine with people offering suggestions, but saying my photos are horrible when they're *Just for fun* is pretty unfair considering I'm not a pro- I'm semi-pro because I work for sites, but I'd still like to be able to take photos for fun without feeling like some people are going to make me feel like crap for playing about for once.

Thanks, but honestly - I don't have the confidence in my work or self to do something like that.

I took your pictures and played with them a bit... uploading them right now.
You should really play with the Curves tool. It's very simple, you can't go wrong.
Almost any picture will look better if you put the curve in an S shape (you put 2 dots and form an S shape).
Moving the dots down will make the pic darker, moving them up will make the pic brighter.
meh.. just play with it.
I find the pics much more interesting when you add some playful contrasts in them.
I chose to tweak the pics this way, you can do it in many other ways.
