The Korean e-Sports Association has come to agreement with all of the pro-gaming teams to form an eight team system for the upcoming Proleague season to ensure the activities of more players. The Association as decided to be the acting manager of an 8th pro-gaming team, formed from the key members of the three teams that disbanded after the 10-11 season (FOX, OZ, Hero).
The decision to act as proxy management for this team came from a desire to serve the greater good by allowing more pro-gamers to continue their activities, and operate the Proleague in a more stable manner. Alongside the proxy management of the 8th Pro-team, the Association is trying with all its ability to find a sponsor for this team, and plans to allow the creation of a new team as soon as possible, even if in mid-season. The 8th team is comprised of skilled players, and it is predicted that it will they will perform well in the 11-12 season and make it easier to find a party interested in acquisition during the season.
Next Season as an Eight Team System, KeSPA as Proxy Management of Eighth Team From the disbanded teams, the top two players for each race by KeSPA ranking were first entered as 'protected' players for the 8th team, and will enter preparations for the next season at a team house that has been prepared at Itaewon-dong in Yongsan-gu [Central Seoul, pretty much right next to OGN studio]. Additionally, through an open draft on the 4th (Fri), Yum Bo Sung, Jeon Tae Yang, Kim Do Wook (Terrans), Lee Jae Dong, Park Joon Oh, Lee Byung Ryul (Zergs), and Kim Jae Hoon, Park Soo Bum, Ha Jaesang (Protoss) were selected for the 8th team.
The player's salary were determined after negotiation with players, taking into account data from the salary adjustment committee - which took last season's performances into account, and the salary levels of other pro-game teams. All player salaries were adjusted to higher levels than last season. Considering the future creation of a new official team, past championship winner Joo Hoon [Two time champion with SKT] has been appointed as head coach/manager, and Han Sang Yong has been accounted as coach of the 8th team.
An Open Posting Process to Decide the Destinations of Players The Association and the pro-gaming teams held an 'open posting' on the 4th (Fri) to decide the destinations for the remaining players outside the 6 protected players. Of the 49 players belonging to the disbanded teams, 32 players were in the open posting, minus the six protected players and 11 players who desired to retire.
At the open posting, player selection was run through a bidding process, and seven teams (excluding ACE) participated. Each team was given an opportunity to select at least one player, so that many progamers would have opportunities to continue their progaming activities.
As a result of the open draft, Park Sung Gyun, Joo Seong Wook, Shin No Yeol, Bang Tae Soo, Lee Ye Hoon, Kim Joon Ho, Baek Dong Jun, and Kim Yoo Jin were selected by progame teams. Players that did not confirm entry into progaming teams are free to sign with any teams after the draft.
Fomos: Coach Joo Hoon spoke of his deeper role in trying to find a sponsor for the new team, not just acting as the head coach. He mentioned his past experience with 4U, the sponsorless team that would later become SK T1.
Fomos Global (English): Some players were not drafted through the posting system because of their high base salary. These players, including notable players like Midas, Ruby, and Hiya, are now free to negotiate with any of the teams for a new contract.
These is finally some good news with that kind of lineup I hope kespa 8th team will cause a lot of ruckus .thank you waxangel I will wait for more info ^^v
Seems like a really solid lineup, but I think KT and SKT and STX are still more solid. Whatever happened to STX? I heard all their players got put on trade
not too sure how i should feel about that though, because this news somehow implies that they still haven't found a sponsor, which is a pretty bad sign.

"The players not assigned to this 8th team will be drafted by other teams." Wait for the translation and we probably know a bit more.
Wow, this PL season is going to be tough. You've got CJ with EffOrt back and now this super team has formed. I really hope they can find a proper sponsor soon.
Too bad about Hiya, but other than that, this news is absolutely awesome. JD can finally start focusing on playing and not worrying about the future, and this team looks more than solid.

He didn't get drafted. Only a few players were officially drafted today:
KT - Mind and Wooki SKT- Princess and Sacsri Khan -Roro Woongjin - Shy STX- Dear CJ - Hero[join]
Supposedly those players not chosen at the draft can still be signed privately (on a free basis?) by the teams. I'm not clear about this part.
Mind is a solid player I doubt teams will not want to draft him in , after all he was supposed to be the next terran bonjwa ... and what happens to my baby bear (midas ) . So many talented players are left for the draft I wonder where they are all going ...

Oh mang glad that shy found a place but was hoping he'd be on one of the stronger teams =/.
Also, the rookies on this new team are probably pretty strong. There weren't many spots on this team and they somehow managed to get on. I hope they can show something this season.
So are the Oz, FOX and MBC fans gonna change their icons? That's one impressive team right there. Definitely up there with SKT and CJ in terms of depth on paper.

Nice pickups for KT. Who knows how long Flash is gonna be out of commission and KT needs a solid #2 terran anyways. No more having to watch Barracks. Wooki has a much better record than I thought he did. Seems it was just a weird coincidence all the games I watch of him were ones he lost. I hope this isn't a sign that Violet isn't coming back though.

Violet won't be back until 2012 and even then it'll take a while for him to get back in top shape so signing someone to back up Stats is probably a good idea. Plus Wooki has a bunch of potential
i doubt Hiya will retire though. I think he just wants to sort things out with regards to the passing away of his dad before he gets back to focusing on progaming. Either that, or he takes up another job instead to support his family.
What a stacked 8th team. Holy crap, it makes me happy that jaehoon and sea stay together and that the Dong will be able to be winning games like a boss this year. Literally the only downside is that my favorite team will have to deal with RoRo :| The price to pay..the price to pay..
On November 04 2011 18:48 moochu wrote: Any history between the players on the new team? Looks good on paper but worried they won't have that team cohesion.
Really surprised Hiya didn't draw any interest. He went 35-39 last year so only a little under .500. It was definitely a down year by Hiya's standards but he'd still be a solid contributor to most teams.
Looks fairly balanced. Ironic that Jaedong would end up with more help after his team collapsed. And as a Khan fan I'm happy we got Roro. I thought from the beginning it would be great for Khan to get Roro or Shine(they can still get the latter) to make their lineup more balanced. Would still love to have Shine though to have at least two capable players of each race.

Good point. The optimist in me wants to think that Kespa are 90% done on a sponsorship deal and therefore don't expect to have to prop up the team for too long.
If you close your eyes and think happy thoughts it's almost believable
Wow KT.... With the addition of Mind and Wooki, they would be about as deep as the Dream team(but both teams still depend on how the new members adapt to their new environment). Hiya... Also, I feel sorry for the new SKT Zergs
Any news on the 11 players that desiered to retire? Anyway, it looks like we are going to have four really solid teams in Proleague now. Should get exciting!

If I were a sponsor I'd rather pay extra for a team with Jaedong than having a team with the smallest payroll but no Jaedong. Besides isn't Sea the only other high-price player on the new team? Killer and Baby are good but I don't think they've proved themselves long enough to warrant large salaries yet.
I am pretty sad about Hiya though, he deserves to still be on a team as I think he isn't completely done in the BW scene. Hope someone like Khan picks him up
I'm surprised that KT got Mind. I mean Mind has always been solid in PL. If he stays that way, KT is gonna be really strong this season, especially if their zergs got the same magic from last seasons playoffs.
Seriously, this team has one of the strongest line ups in PL. I think this team is better than CJ and Khan and really competetive against KT and SKT1. They have JD for Flash and Sea/Baby for Bisu (even though is vT is better then it is stated here in the forum) and Killer has huge potential. Man this team is sick. Can't wait for the new season.
Sorry for Hiya, but if you have Sea and Baby you don't need Hiya...
Still can't believe it, this is a luxury team hope they will find a great sponsor (with a pocket full of money), then we might not see KT vs SKT1 in the overall final again.

looks to me it is more of a budget issue. if they really wanted them, they can always sign them after the draft and use to the draft to get more proven players.
Awesome. It was great to just suck it up and build the team. With the lineup it should certainly be easier to get a sponsor than when everything was in limbo depending on negotiations. I'm just so happy that the 8th team is confirmed and the ball is really rolling again. This is really cathartic news after the summer of wretched headlines.
As to HiyA, I really liked him too. I'm sure he'll find a place on another team.

If you campare them head to head, I don't think KT is mighty stronger than this team, but sure you're right, only time will tell. Never the less this team is just sick!
Glad to see Jaedong and Killer remain on the same team; not that familiar with all the players but this already seems like a pretty strong team, can't wait to see them in the Proleague!
Holy shit Jaedong actually has some backup teammates to rely on. Baby/Sea/Killer can all reliably potentially pull off wins and that also gives 3 potential ACE picks (Baby/Sea/Jaedong) along with also having a solid cast of Tyson and a wild-card in Jaehoon to pull if necessary.
I'm really, really sad to see Wemade break up though. At least a lot of the Wemade cast has found a team. Though I don't think Shine has found one yet...
Hmmm Roro going to KHAN is actually a really useful pick given that Khan, besides the slumping Great, has no real Zerg threat in that lineup and Roro is a stable Zerg.
Mind/Wuk going to KT is going to be pretty interesting. Will be interesting to see how that pans out seeing as if Mind can, if ever, return to his MSL form, KT will actually have some solid depth, not to mention Wuk has shown promise.

But the new team.. i too fear for the chemistry. Look at the players. You have 3 former ace players as its line up, you are bound to have ego clashes when guys like JD, Baby and Sea have to decide how to divide their territories.

It is argueable if CJ is destroying everyone on paper, but they have an incredible line up without a doubt, and they became 3rd, this is not that bad. But this team is stronger even on paper. But the new season has great teams, effort back, roro to khan, mind to KT I am wondering SKT1 did not have some "real" addition, just lean on Bisu, Fanta, Best to snipe Flash and some zerg to win won't make it anymore...

I disagree, according to wax angel
All player salaries were adjusted to higher levels than last season
jaedong salary probably just sky-rocketed even higher.
How is that even possible? Fewer sponsors but somehow more salary for players, even from disbanded teams?
they either have more money than we think, are banking on finding a sponsor before very long, or are lying.
or maybe there is a sponsor which has yet to be announced? That should also be a possibillity though perhaps they would announce a mystery sponsor beforehand? We dont know...

Yeah SKT does not look that strong at all the coming season.. but most of all STX looks troublesome. With the new beefed up teams they really look dubious as to how they can even compete for the playoffs.

It's definitely more fun to watch when every team has a shot at the playoffs finals. (guessing the rankings of the teams mbc, oz and ace is no mystery. Speaking of which, any hints of reducing the post-season playoffs to 4/5 teams?
Wooki on KT? Now Stats has some proper kick-ass back-up on the P line. Mind as a number two to Flash ought to work wonders as well for them in match-up depth.
RorO at KHAN? FINALLY they patch that Z hole, though getting Shine would make them completely safe on that end.
Dear to STX? HMMM, iS that a sign that Kal is on the way out?
sHy to Stars? At least they've also tried to add variety to their Ps.
And it seems that SKT is still problematic on having a reliable Z, though I have no doubt as well that they also need to look for a proper T replacement for Fantasy, since they have By.Sun and Paralyze for their Toss line.
And that 8th team is absolutely stacked, no question; with three potential aces with different match-up specialties... one couldn't really ask for any more.

In Lee Sora's "H corporation" article that was embargoed, she did say that a former head coach was playing a large role behind the scenes in forming this team.
Holy mother of god, how awesome is this. I still think that there are some good players missing .. Mind going to KT, maybe Flash can teach him some tricks. SKT drafting 2 more zerg players .. okayy The two destroyer of anti teams get united at KHAN, good luck RorOJangBi
To be honest the 8th team looks rock solid, a definite top 4 team in my opinion. I would have wanted roro on KT but Mind and Wooki are solid picks as well. This new season of PL is going to be the hardest one yet, I wish all the teams good luck!

That's a pretty strong line up, JD finally has some good backing and it only took 3 teams. I'm now very curious as to how well they're going to play and I can't wait for the Proleague season to start. I can only imagine they'll give everyone a run for their money. Also I'm glad Jaedong and Killer are still together. I think this might be my new second favourite team now that Hwaseung Oz are gone. I'm calling them team Infinity for now until they get an official name, and hopefully they find a sponsor soon too.
Overall this is some great news and something I really needed to hear, other news I'm happy about are both Shy and P7GAB (what a sick name) finding teams. KT getting two very good picks :/ they're looking even stronger now

WOWWW. From nothing to instant contender. BaBy, Sea, and JD gotta be happy about that, and they have a solid second like with Tyson, Killer, and Jaehoon.

KT getting two very good picks :/ they're looking even stronger now
What's happening to the rest of the coaching staff? I hope everyone else finds a team *fingers crossed*

I think it's 4 bed rooms. But 60 pyeong is quite big for an apartment, 2000+ sq feet.
SKT wanted Ruby but he couldn't agree on a salary and didn't attend the draft due to "family reasons". Rumour on dcinside is that Ruby wants to go overseas to study.

More importantly, they have Joo Hoon.
Can anyone give a brief history how significant is coach joo hoon to the team ?
wow, pretty good lineup for the new team needs a better protoss though, i think jaehoon and tyson are decent, but they need a big shot there to complement jaedong, sea and baby

Yeah.. the rich get richer.
I'm curious about how this team will perform though, they obviously have the tools to do very well but we'll have to wait and see just what sort of impact they'll make.
It seems like quite a small team at present. I wonder if they'll add more rookies to the 8th team if a sponsor is signed. I hope they do anyway. There are several rookies who deserve a second chance.
This is such great news, I'm so happy to read this. The new team, once it's one its feet can easily contend for proleague championships.
To those that say the Dream Team doesn't have a good protoss player simply has not followed proleague for the last year. Jaehoon is one of the most consistent protoss players and while he does have some moments, the vast majority of the time he is winning and winning well.
Hyun wasn't drafted because they offered a salary lower than what he was hoping for. lol This is the 2009 FA incident all over again. And just like in 2009, Hyun will probably end up joining a team at a lower salary anyway. Why put yourself through this process again Hyun, why?
Hmm, strange, HiyA is better than most of the players of the new team and better than all the drafted players, i would say he was the best of oz after jaedong.
Maybe he is volunteerly not there, Switching to SC2 ?... or just wanting to do other stuff. He seemed to be the funny guy in the team, they gonna miss him a lot i think.
On November 04 2011 21:14 Lucumo wrote: Btw: Why is Kespa managing the new team? Wasn't there a bidding war going on to determine the owner of the new team?
I think this may be a "try before you buy" matter. So they'll let this new team play one round of PL and show potential buyers just how good they are and then they'll pick up a sponsor with ease.
Anyway, great news! I haven't decided if I'll switch out my Oz icon but I'll decide after the first round of PL, when they get picked up by some awesome sponsor after going 7-0 :D
Now to evaluate the draft picks.. I like RorO to KHAN, they're getting a solid Zerg player and someone to pick up the slack now that great is in ACE. Mind to KT, means they get a 2nd Terran player, but maybe the KT Curse or perhaps the LYH Curse is too great to allow for a 2nd Terran player to be solid. sHy to Woongjin is interesting, as if sHy can continue to develop, and with free's freefall, Woongjin might just have a new Protoss ace. I don't really like SKT's choices, I feel like if they were gonna go for a Zerg they should've gone for Dream.t)Check.. but maybe he retired? I'm also surprised to see that Sky and HiyA weren't drafted, but perhaps they retired as well? Check and Sky are somewhat unlikely as they just became progamers, but I could see HiyA retiring due to the recent passing of his father and a need for something more stable.

WOOOOW i really love this news and this new team is really high level!!!well done and good job to KeSPA and i really hope they will soon find a sponsor, it's going to be quite easy with such a lineup. Also KT grabbing Mind is really good for them! I'm so happy proleague will go on with 8 team and that those very good players can now join their forces and kick some asses!
Dude. This team has one of the deepest T and Z lines in the league. And Jaehoon is Jaehoon.
This is a pretty strange combination for proleague, since usually teams don't have such deep lineups for these two particular races.
Khan, for example, has great protosses and shitty everything else. SKT has great protosses and terrans, but a somewhat less deep zerg line.
KT has a Flash + decent protosses lineup.
CJ's zergs are also legendary, But Skyhigh was always a one trick pony, and Leta now is pretty decent, but he's the only big name Terran with more than one stable matchup on CJ.
I think this 8th team will actually be quite OP in proleague because they have 4 ridiculously viable ace choices with fantastic race coverage... and every one of them is actually like decent at every matchup, as opposed to being dedicated snipers. Basically, none of them have any glaring weaknesses and all have a solid shot of taking a game off of anybody.
Sure Killer's ZvT isn't top 10, and nowadays JD's ZvZ is no better than a coinflip... Baby's vP is pretty weak statistically, and Sea is well known to fall over and die to TBLS (though one of the Ss is his teammate now). But it's much harder to snipe any of these guys.
And CJ is also going to be a pretty stacked team once Effort gets his act together and rejoins the ranks.
SKT is SKT, Stars have Zero + Light and KT has Flash + friends.

KT seems to have gotten the best players (probably have deeper pockets due to sponsor bonuses for winning PL). But one thing that puzzles me is SKT's decision to draft 2 zergs. They already have soo, hyuk, s2 which are better than them, and have a host of rookie zergs too.
lomo will go into training to become an auxiliary policeman
He's too pretty to be a policeman, all the ladies will feign emergencies so they get to be with him haha. Good luck to Lomo, sad I won't see him and JD together on the bench anymore :/
It's quite sad Lomo is retiring. His game in the 09 final was one of the big reasons I fell in love with Brood War. I thought he played exceptional in that game and gave Jaedong the opportunity to win Proleague if he could have beaten Fantasy and then Bisu.
Zerg[kal] is going to enter the military I think. sad.
Meh :/ atleast he didn't go to sc2 kekeke. It could be the best choice for him too cause BW isn't in best shape for low-A/B teamers right now! Most happy about Jaehoon not retired, rumored that he talked about it or smth. God damn he need twitter.
So are they gonna bother giving them a name or are they just going to be KESPA? I wonder what their uniforms will be. I could see them just wearing their regular clothes with little badges of KESPA pinned to them.

Jaehoon was thinking about retiring last year. After the 10-11 season, he's hungrier than ever.

I'd love to see them wear tuxes
how great would it be to have a team play in suits?
Great news for BW, although bad news for the undrafted player, but such is life. I just hope they succeed elsewhere.
However, there is one thing overshadowing the others for me...Mind to KT! Fuck yeees! A dream come true, my two favourite players (Flash and Mind) finally in one team. I may even put a KT tag in my sig now. I hope Mind retains his form and will be sent out often. Also KT could definitely use a good second terran, Flash can't do all the terran work alone all the time, so totally understandable pick.
And finally one thing I haven't seen mentioned - KT now has both of the youngest champions, haha:
The youngest OSL champion - Flash (15 years, 8 months and 10 days, Bacchus OSL 2008) The youngest MSL champion - Mind (16 years, 1 month and 14 days, GomTV 3 MSL 2007)

I'm really happy for the new team...yet sad to see my two favourite teams WMF and Hwaseung dissolve :X. Mind to KT is interesting - Mind doesn't have to face Flash anymore in PL at least! Roro to Samsung is also a very solid choice.
Good luck to the rest of the players who aren't drafted yet - don't lose hope~~
Ugh, my emotions are being torn here. Jaedong, Sea, Killer and Baby are among my favorite players, I'm really happy that they're in a team together. Not to mention that the 8-man team is made up of 50% MBC players (Sea, Jaehoon, Tyson, Sang), f yeah! But I'm sad for all the players who didn't get in or weren't drafted (Hyun? Hiya? Midas? T_T). Also it's troubling that the 8th team doesn't have a sponsor yet. But I guess with all the controversy and stuff happening we should be glad the 8th team is pushing through at all, and it looks like PL 11-12 is really a sure thing. Of course I want BW to go on forever, but if this is going to be the last PL or last PL that is BW-only it better be the best one because BW should go out with a BANG.
I hope the next announcement is the starting date of the next season, I really miss watching BW live
is SKT just trolling us? what is that, how are we gonna compete with KT, Entus, KESPA like that *eyeroll* did we spend all our money on rainbow shoes or what?! SKT is all about team performance (and Bisu) anyways, go guys (wouldn't mind 'karp and grannyzerg though, c'mon Telecom throw 'em some moneys)
damn i really want a Kespa 'badge' though, quick we really have to get an/that icon before they get a sponsor (with those players shouldn't be too hard if BW is to have any future x.x)
Awesome news! Super excited for the new team. Baby and Killer both have good potential mentor figures in Sea and Jaedong, so let's hope to see these young guys develop even more this season. Can't wait for PL ^^.
he means if you switch to SC2 you're godly because BW players are godly and if you get drafted and continue with BW you have to play SC2 anyways (SPL) ne~?!

And for those wondering about shine and hiya, the above DES article mentions that the other teams considered them for drafting but they were too expensive to acquire. Other undrafted players, along with shine and hiya, have the option to individually make contracts with the teams.

Yeah I can see SEA being the guy leading the flag and charging across the battlefield while Lee Jaedong ace player sits back knowing that he is only needed in ace match .
Excellent. I get to continue supporting Dong and min Dong on the same team and they have some great Terran Chingu's to play with. Sea and Baby are probably close to my two favourite T’s as well.
I might end up watching more pro league now there's gonna be less of it and players I'm used to supporting (Dear, Shy) are moving elsewhere. There's some notable names yet to be drafted I hope everyone that wants to and deserves to keep playing Broodwar gets the opportunity too.
Wow this proleague is going to be great. with half the league being powerhouses, almost every match will be interesting. Winner's league is going to be ridiculous with that line-up.
Also, hopefully Flash can take Mind under his wing and impart to him the finer points of turtling. I've always 'liked' him but now that he's on KT I guess I'll be actively supporting him.

usually the oldest one is the captain. That means, Tyson would be the captain. But I think the "team captain" is not that important compared to other sports.

Well, I'm generally not one of the biggest Kespa-haters, although they're dumbasses sometimes. But this is indeed one of their brightest moments.
A lot of foreign fans on TL throw shit at kespa because of all the bad publicity and for the things they screwed up on (blizzard copyright issue, handling of matchfixing scandal) but kespa should be given more credit. They are part of the reason why korean BW has been able to stay relatively structured and systematic in terms of things like drafting. Kespa should also be given credit for maintaining Shinhan bank's (one of south korea's biggest and wealthiest banks) continuous sponsorship for proleague, which is probably more important than anything else.

I wonder where they practice?
At their new apartment of course! I hear its pretty decent.
Player salaries are said to have been fully finalized for team8. Mr. Cho said “the exact salaries cannot be made public. All we can say is that [the salaries] were based on last year’s results and were balanced in comparison to other team’s players. The end result was an increase in salary for most players, with the exception of Jaedong who’s salary remains pretty much the same.”
Mr. Cho added that “not a single player is unhappy with his salary. One of the players will be enjoying double of his previous year’s salary. All players were happy at the end of negotiations and they were eager to get to work.” So there you have it, there seems to be no loss of morale for these players as they diligently prepare for the new season.
KeSPA Fox Heroes of Oz ughh maybe not. Hopefully a sponsor comes out quick, and I could see someone wanting to sponsor a team with this talent. KIA or LG heed their call.
So now not only they have a beast team, but the players get the salary doubled? Talk about how motivated those guys are. This teams is gonna destroy everybody in 11-12 oO

1 player doubled his salary. JD's salary is the same. The rest got salary increments.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I dont really like alot of terran or protoss players, since im a z user myself and I almost always root for the Z and dont watch alot of TvP/PvP (TvT is awesome though) But there are two. 1. Sea - amazing player and really fun to watch 2. Baby - i think that everyone who watched GOM with tasteless fell in love with him right there.
God this team is AMAZING. And i really like that the league is getting mixed up a little bit again and that JD finally gets a proper team!!!!!!!
Proleague is going to be SO tight this season. CJ, SKT, KT, and now this...4 teams that could all definitively (at this point based on last season's results) be viable champs. What's more even the other teams, though not as strong I feel, are all more than capable of taking wins from anyone (except STX, sry guys T_T ).
Finally some news on the team. I hope this vacation has helped JD rest and shape up his ZvZ and ZvP. Can't wait to see what this new team can do to the Proleague landscape.
I didn't know who I was going to go for this season with FOX disbanding, this clears that right up! Sea, Baby, Jaedong, Killer and Jaehoon on one team means I will be rooting for team 8!

Because SKT doesn't wanna sit around watching long TvT's on top of waiting for the rare but awful GG timing of Fantasy. If they picked up Midas it'd be pretty sick though. Especially if Oov could feed builds to Midas on the side too.
But seriously, it was probably a salary issue. FBB probably got raises. Also, if KT plans on sending four Z's then why shouldn't SKT lol.
IloveOov was part of the official roster of SKT1 I think right, but his only purpose was coaching, is it possible for Anytime to become a coach? I mean he whipped the Oz Protoss rookies in something usefull in a short amount of time.

Wow this is fantastic news!!! BW fighting Mind to KT is interesting I like how SKT only got rookie zergs lol so the tradition of "SKT zergs" continues ;;; Roro is a solid zerg, his style is similar to Soulkey and Zero, and Khan have been needing a good zerg for a while now. Wooki is a pretty good toss even though he doesn't have much experience, but KT must see a lot of potential in him to recruit him. Shy isn't exactly a scrub either, maybe Woongjin hoping to replace Free STX picks up a rookie protoss, maybe they hope to make him follow the footsteps of Shuttle and Kal... This is quite good news, I wouldn't say awesome seeing as the new team is kind of living on life-support at the moment until such time that a new corporation decides to take over the funding, which could be never as far as we know. Although I am cautiously optimistic that they'll eventually find a sponsor considering the high caliber players that are on the new team.
The thing that I am most eager to see resolved now is my lack of having the new maps for this upcoming season! I mean, come on, the season is just a little more than a week a way! I really hope they get to releasing them soon, otherwise I fear that I won't have proper time to whine about Terran imbalance . PL Map releasing time is usually the time of the year when Protoss users such as myself get to release all of their frustrations out in one big cathargic cry of imbalance, thus keeping us mentally stable enough to continue on getting our armies turned into vapour and goo in the blink of an eye.
J/K I'm just a bad player who happens to suffer from PL withdrawal, any imbalance whine is strictly to be blamed on Starcraft deficiency syndrome and nothing else
with baby, sea,jd,tyson and jaehoon in one team and also Joo Hoon as head coach, can't wait for new season. Mind and Wooki to KT .awesome. and I'm glad hear Jaehoon still one team with sea and tyson.
STX seems to be slipping through the cracks, especially with Kal leaving their ranks. I feel bad for that team. A dose of Hiya could have done them some good IMO.
Now i won't feel sad when jaedong and killer proceeds to kill Sea and Baby and i can cheer for all of them ^_^ MBSea + Jaedong Oz + WeMade = A REAL TEAM

Kespa is obviously providing the funding for the time being. If you're going to hate on Kesa find an actual reason, there are plenty good ones.

Conflict of interest. KeSPA is made up of all of the team sponsors in PL, except Ace. The only reason they're even doing this is to make PL more interesting and ensure the future survival of BW.

Gotta love community news.
KeSPA is made up of the sponsors of the other teams. Use your common sense. Why would SKT, KT, STX, CJ, Samsung, or Woongjin be interested in funding a team that they don't get to own, AND it'll be competing directly with the team they DO own.
I'm so glad Samsung Khan got RoRo! They were completely without any Zergs before this. Whew. Too bad they couldn't get Killer or JD as well, but it's better than nothing.
New team will be very strong. A very strong balance of veterans (Sea, JD) and younger guys.

this reminds of how the new orleans hornets are owned by the nba. people wondered, "if the hornets win the championship... does that mean everyone wins?"

Ugh, hopefully they find a sponsor soon. I'm not sure if this can really qualify as good news, because even though another team has been made the fact that it has been done without sponsors means that 1) player salaries are probably cut drastically and 2) nobody's willing to jump on this team even when it's stacked.

player salaries were actually increased incrementally or matched for everyone except for a few who managed to increase their by salary by double for this year's contract. of course, this is probably coming out of kespa's pockets on the hope that a sponsor will carry over in the future.

Just STX.
Stars is at a bit more respectable place.
Remember last season? It was Soulkey, Zero, Light pulling Woongjin's weight, everyone else was slumping. Compared to these new power-teams in the league, Woongjin is far from deep.

salaries are likely to be the same or even increased.
Translation by OpticalShot Player salaries are said to have been fully finalized for team8. Mr. Cho said “the exact salaries cannot be made public. All we can say is that [the salaries] were based on last year’s results and were balanced in comparison to other team’s players. They'll certainly be top 4. I wonder what format the playoffs will use with 2 lesser teams... probably the number of teams that make it will be cut to 4 and we'll get 3rd vs 4th, winner vs 2nd, and winner vs 1st for the final.

Only Soulkey, Zero, and Light? As if 3 of the top 15 players is a bad thing? SK and ZerO are Zerg artists. Light, meanwhile, is capable of wrecking any Zerg including Jaedong in a straight up match. Free had a disappointing 2011 season, but there was a point in 2010 where he was the highest ranked Protoss of any team, so that's potential.
On paper, this is my ranking of scariest teams:
1. CJ (he's back) 2. SKT1 3. New Team 4. Woongjin 5. KT (I know they have proven they don't need Flash, but on paper he's still the only scary player besides a consistent Stats) 6. Khan 7. STX (new nickname, STBogus anyone?)
Then again, as a Khan fan I'm worried most about anti-protoss specialists and SK and ZerO are about as good as it gets.

Stars = 278. STX = 441. Last count was in August of this year. So really the few and the proud are Star fans, but they've both got low numbers anyhow

Yeah I really like Stars, Light is one of my favorire Terran.
...and We get Shy. lol. Not that bad, I guess, but I was hoping that we could pick up a terran due to Really retiring and give more time for Hon_sin to develop.
For all the shit we have given Kespa since sc2's release theyve just made it up in my eyes. Amazing work! Great teams!!
SKT Finally getting more zergs! JAEDONGGG IS ON A GOOD FUCKING TEAM!!!! WOOOHJHOHOHOOOOO!!!!
His zvt is going to be unstoppable now with Baby and Sea as practice partners. WL is gonna be SO fucking fun to watch this year!! Maybe Sea can place higher in the OSL finally (JD is gonna win though )
And Baby and Killer!!!!
YAYAYAY Such good news!! :D So happy after all this bad news
Only thing that sucks is no Hiya and lack of good protosses on that team (or lack of good protosses outside Bisu, Jangbi and Stork....)

We'll do well yes, but the fact that KT got all the good transfer last season and this season means that we'll not do well against them, and it's all that matters. We need to have more decent to good players (the like of stats, mind...) because the zerg line sucks and the terran line lacks deep.

But the new team is going to cause some major waves in PL. 1 S class zerg, two borderline S-class terrans, and a really good supporting cast (minus Jaehoon, but eh )

Jaehoon getting a lot of flack from people who, either didn't watch much PL last season or didn't read the OP properly. The reason he's in the team is because he's the highest ranked protoss amongst the 3 disbanded teams. PL winrate last season: 56.6%

Who needs a P ace when your Z ace is Jaedong? That's all the vT matchup strength you need right there.

Amen to that. I think people are just jumping on the Jaehoon hate-wagon (sounds like something boes would approve of...) because of his...*ahem* ... prior stellar showings.
He did REALLY well last PL season, all things considered. He might not be JD level but I would chance putting him in with Sea/Baby/Killer as team "secondaries"
This kespa team is actually VERY well rounded, it has room to grow. I would be really disappointed if a sponsor didn't pick up a promising team. It'd be like not picking up CJ's lineup if they were the sponsorless team...you'd be crazy not to.
Too bad the world's economy is in the shitter, that's probably the largest deterrent atm.
Edit: we also get to see the protoss replacement for Kal on STX!!! :D:D:D:D
JD alone should attract some sponsors. That and the fact that he can aspire to something more than WL with PirateZerg and Moustache Zerg, having a better supporting cast than before.

also anyone who thinks that the KT Terran lineup isn't weak is stupid. Flash is only 1 player, he's not a "terran lineup"...Flash is amazing but Mind is going to be a HUGE help on KT overall. Plus Mind is already doing really well and will benefit a ton from being in the same house as Flash.
I've been suffering BW withdrawal. Can't wait for the new season to start up and it is great to see KeSPA do all it can to provide these players the continued chance to continue their career as professional BW players.
Hoping for a great year out of Jaedong! KeSPA 2011-2012 proleague champions
This new lineup is awesome.... I forsee a bright future for them. I wonder what their name will be? Team colours and uniforms will also be interesting to see.
Ace and STX look underwhelming right now, I really hope something manages to balance them out...or we just have to accept they will be overlooked in the next PL
Oh wow, this new team is going to be pretty damn good. Also, Wookie and Mind to KT are pretty big additions to their lineup. This upcoming season should be interesting.

Waxangel needs to update his OP with all the stuff about these other progamers. Ruby, Lomo, etc. Cause I know it's all been asked more than once or twice haha.
A couple of issues with the new Kespa team - I know that the other teams have practice B-teamers who regularly practice with the other players. I am assuming that new team will not have those which will leave the new team at a slight disadvantage.
I'm also slightly disappointed that Shine and Hiya couldn't find teams with the 'auction' but I'm sure they can get individual deals with the teams.
I don't want Kespa to sponsor this team, I'm sure there are a lot of potential sponsors out there for JAEDONG SEA BABY KILLER. I mean, C'mon!!!
But then again, maybe no one has enough money to ensure that these stars all get above their original paychecks, like Kespa is ensuring. I'm glad that they're being well paid.
No more Jaedong x Anytime. A sad day indeed. Lecaf Oz was my second favourite team. Still 8 teams are better than none. How is playoffs going to work, since the top 4 are going to go to playoffs........that's half the league.

New thread cool. I'll be sure to check it out! However, just seeing CJ at #1 made me smile despite not reading the details yet. Saw STX at 7 and felt bad for you though =(

What my mind thinks is going to happen.
KT SKT Dream Team CJ Stars Khan STX ACE
What my heart hopes will happen. CJ x8
You really think ACE will be that low with Kal and great in their line ups?
Well crap. That changes everything. I forgot Great was in ACE as well. In that case ACE definitely goes to #7, while STX drops to #8. I hated STX the team when they had Hwasin and Kal and whatnot, but now I just feel sorry for them. Bogus is their best player? An inconsistent Calm and a mediocre Hero, and a good, but not amazing Shuttle. If STX gets Hiya and other players, it might look better.
This news is making me all happy and jumpy and stuff. I love Starcraft.

He mainly got sent out against even crappier players, ofc he had a positive winrate.
He also recalled a single observer, and threw a game against RorO he had so easily won it wasn't even funny.
I think Tyson's a better player than him, regardless of ELO. Tyson's more consistent and less prone to really bonehead moves.
Is there any news about when proleague will start? Or is it possible they might delay it in hope that a sponsor will step up in time so they have them before season starts to make it a smoother transition?
At least Khan got a decent zerg. What's hilarious is that they pick up the best remaining zerg FA and their zerg line is still probably the worst in PL.

That's a really nice team but it will still fall to the might of CJ ENTUS! After all the bad news, this seems great to get some hype going. EffOrt + the new team will at least make some opening round headlines! :D:D:D:D
Man I'm so excited for this team and the new season...been bw starved for wayyyyy too long! I was pretty worried when there was no news about the new team I rly started to think they moved to SC2 or something. Now i'm reassured :D
Mind going to KT can only mean good things for him. Anticipating good things for him. Extremely shocked no one picked up HiyA. New team is over-rated, predicting hard fall for them.

Jaehoon had wins over Zero, Calm, Fantasy, Shuttle, Bogus, Shine, Great, Hiya, Horang2, Forgg etc. That observer game was over 2 years ago. He had some great games last season but all you choose to remember are his mistakes. Jaehoon was indeed terrible in live broadcasts before the 2010-2011 season but he is a decent player now after overcoming most of his mental hurdles.
Also this team is crazy lol. I'm very happy SKT managed to get the Zerg players though. Alone is awesome I wanted RorO, but I guess Alone is just as good lol. of course KT gets another Terran I honestly thought Coach Park would have gone after another Terran. SKT has no one good after Fantasy. I agree he didn't get another Toss, By.Sun went nuts this season, if he keeps playing, SKT will never need another Toss. We needed another Terran, not 2 more maybe we'll play them Zergs. I'm a fan of this team already though, lol.
I agree, jaehoon is much better and tyson is also reliable too. I'm just glad jaehoon and especially killer were able to get on the 8th team; it would have been terrible to see someone's career cut just at the moment when he was rising.

HiyA and Midas's SC2 accounts have increased in games pretty dramatically. i dunno what that means but it could be that they are A. Bored, B. trying to get on an SC2 team or C. taking a break from BW until they get a definite group of practice partners again (see A)

What makes you say such a thing?!? Fanboyism aside, honestly, having more mediocre players wouldn't help STX one bit.
where else can these players go ?
I take offense at the insinuation that STX is a dumping ground for players other teams didn't want. If there's no place for them, that's sad, but both insulting my team's current roster and telling that same team to dish out a lot of cash for players that are unlikely to get playtime even in STX is just low.

I don't think he meant it that way.
The real reason why players like Hero[join] got signed over Shine for instance, was the issue of money. The senior players who couldn't find teams weren't all rejected because they weren't good enough but because their salary was too high. That's the problem with this draft process.

Honestly speaking has classic been winning his TvZ now days ? Ruby at least has a strong TvZ win rate and that could help stx in that match up . Midas on the other hand his win rate is over 60% all time in last year proleague . I disagree that you are calling the MIDAS a mediocre player .At least midas was field in more frequently than classics appearance in proleague .
Hyun on the other hand looks like a good ZvP player looking at his record he took down a lot of big names, Stork , Kal and even free .http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/details.php?section=korean&type=players&id=120&part=games&league=standard&vs=P
Does stx have any promising rookie right now ? You lost your protoss ace Kal who was a beast in 2009 but now he is in ace , who else is going to to take up his role . Shuttle ?

Even if that were the case, that would not stop the forming of an 8th team
But wow KT got MIND! There to take up the slack for Flash so he doesn't need to split focus as much and what ForGG was supposed to. The rest of the moves are pretty meh expect Roro, but Khan could use Roro.
The "dream team" could be strong as there will be more players to support JD, but they lost Hiya so imo they aren't that much stronger than the old Oz.

While it's true that Classic plain sucks at TvZ, the STX choice for that matchup is Bogus, not Classic. If a second TvZ-er is desperately needed, then Last has been doing decently enough to warrant playing - it may not be evident from his winrate, but he's been playing pretty damn well, and I wouldn't be surprised if STX would be defined by him and Bogus in the near future. Watch his games to see what I mean. The addition of Midas wouldn't really change much, He's played pretty badly for the last year, and I doubt he would get playtime at all.

Every Zerg in STX is as competent, if not even more competent at ZvP as Hyun. Hyvaa in particular looks as if he's going to be a very dangerous opponent in that matchup. I'm afraid no team needs Hyun at the moment. Tragic too, I like his personality and playstyle a lot.

Last is doing very well, whereas Trap shows some promise. Noone is able to take Kal's role as one of the teams aces for now, that is going to be predictably Bogus every single time for the predictable future. Shuttle varies in form way more than Kal did in that period, but I could see him snipe someone. How is that related though? Just pointing out that STX will have a really hard time next season?

statistically, the best players on STX from last season (excluding winners league) were: bogus: 25 - 13 shuttle: 18-13 calm: 15-15 kal: 14-21 hero: 10-14 classic: 8-11
hyvaa and modesty did not get much playtime last season, but with kal gone STX will definitely be rotating the roster more and hopefully one of them can pick it up. Hyvaa has definitely shown to have great potential, but never pulls it together long enough. modesty is a solid ZvZ sniper and once in a while he can play the game of his life vs kal in the OSL and win and send kal into a slump :\

I am not in any way trying to look down at stx but there is a opportunity to draft in players from other team, stx should take their chance to recruit any potential players that could bolster up their team roster .Calm is a solid zerg and have always be there for stx, however there is a lot of talent pool out there to fish from . I hope stx use these opportunity well maybe even hiring some of those talented rookies that are left out of the draft .

Player base is still huge in Korea and Estro like team is essential because no team with huge sponsor would want to be last.
What happened to Shine ? And also KT again gets the better deal of the draft...after Baby , Mind and Wooki are like the 2 best players from Wemade . Just the thought of Mind practising with Flash kinda scares me . This is great news non the less . If STX can get their shit together , they do have talented players then there will be no more weak teams in PL .
All player salaries were adjusted to higher levels than last season.
This is also good news .
Thought i hope the 20 or so undrafted progamers can manage some decent deals with the progaming teams .
KT looks pretty imba now with Mind, and lol at SKT picking up more zergs. I hope KHAN picks Hiya. They need him to fill in the spot of firebathero. Hyun would fit on KHAN really well too. If he retires I'll be a sad panda.

Classic is a much better player than Ruby. I really hope STX keeps giving him the chance he deserves, because he's one of the smartest and most creative Terrans around, and his TvT/P is really good, plus they need Classic more than ever now that Kal is gone, since he specialize in the same matchups.
I don't really feel convinced by the new team. JD and Killer on the same team is cool and all, but I don't see why it's so amazing pairing Jaedong with Sea and Baby. The latter 2 are kind of mediocre terrans, Sea basically being light minus amazing TvZ and Baby being stupidly inconsistent. Really pleased about Roro to Khan though (Khan has basically no decent zergs) and also happy about Mind->KT. SKT has way too many mediocre Zergs, they need another Terran.

Sea is really just the more balanced version of Light, with healthier winrates in TvP and TvT. Near 60% winrates overall and definitely Ace player standard.

Sea's "well-rounded but not elite at any matchup" trait makes him pretty much the worst type of Ace player you could get. At least Light can be matchup up against Jaedong, Hydra, Zero or Effort and be expected to win at least 50% of the time. Sea would be the underdog against pretty much any other team's Ace except for Air Force and STX. Fortunately it doesn't matter anymore because Jaedong has better vT, vZ and vP than Sea. As a #2, Sea is as good as it gets besides Fantasy.

What? Are you judging by simply stats or actually watching the games? BaBy is very good and has tons of potential; like Sea his record is packed full of the strongest opponents too so it's not even quite as bad as it looks. Both of them were often the ace for their teams which makes their statistics look weaker.

What is it with you idiots with some ridiculous wrong view of what KeSPA even is? It needs to be stated on here once and for all so people fucking understand. How the hell is KeSPA making a new team, paying the players and keeping them employed taking advantage of anything? If you're not going to give them credit for this then you shouldn't even watch the upcoming PL considering they are the ones making it all happen.
At times over the past two years, I was ready to proclaim Baby a potential new King of Terran worthy of dethroning Flash. Obviously that has yet to come true. But, he has the multitasking ability of the best of the best (up there with Bisu and Flash, imo) but he still needs to figure out better decision making. He's still quite young though - probably the youngest of all Terrans who have made a Ro16 so far. Baby/Ty is a huge benefit to the new team. He is an easy Ace choice when you are expecting an anti-Zerg to combat JD and you throw out a multitasking Terran machine instead.
Everyone is really stoked about the players... but I'm kinda excited about the coach... I was very unhappy with Oz's coaching last season, and if this coach is as good as some are saying he is... I'm very excited! I really think Jaedong's less dominant play stems (at least partly) from the loss of Cho, so if the dream team can have a bad ass coach... I will be stoked. Plus, I think Baby's inconsistency stems from a similar problem.

Coach Han (Oz) is also part of the dream team coaching staff now, assistant to Joo Hoon. Not sure how that's going to work out. Personally I'd have chosen Pusan, but then again I'm an MBC fan.

Sea would be the underdog against pretty much any other team's Ace except for Air Force and STX. Fortunately it doesn't matter anymore because Jaedong has better vT, vZ and vP than Sea. As a #2, Sea is as good as it gets besides Fantasy.
"besides Fantasy" sry oov isn't around anymore so the last two words are obsolete. in a bo7 where jaedong cannot play and win the 4 games required to play, a well rounded player like sea is good enough

Sea is really just the more balanced version of Light, with healthier winrates in TvP and TvT. Near 60% winrates overall and definitely Ace player standard.

Lee Ssang are a different category altogether but Sea's not called the King of Proleague for nothing. His performance last season wasn't as good as previous seasons but there's no denying that he's one of the best Ace players around. He also has the second best play-off record of all time.
I think TL polled opinions and came to the conclusion that Sea is the best player who has never won an individual league or something like that. He is worthy of being an ace player and stepping up to the plate, but I don't see him being ace anytime soon when JD is playing well or even Baby
The fact that Light left MBC during last season affected Sea's performance I believe. MBC had a hard time with Light gone until Jaehoon established himself nicely during the last 2 rounds of PL.

He was saved, the top 2 in Kespa rankings from each team was moved to new team regardless

clearly mind knew beforehand that KT was going to buy him, explaining he and stats getting chin surgery at the same time. otherwise that'd just be way too much chin for 1 team.
Damn, it's about time that there's some Broodwar happening again. Good to hear that KeSPA have managed to do something besides being dicks for a change, this new team should be awesome. Jaedong/Killer is fine Zerg lineup and Sea/Baby have the Terran side well covered, however between those three teams they still didn't manage to scrape together even a single decent Protoss, that's pretty funny (and no, Jaehoon and Tyson are not strong Protoss players, they are better than Oz tosses but that's about it).

Did you not read the OP? Top two players from each race were instantly drafted to the new team. It wasn't that nobody wanted them because I'm sure other teams would have taken most of them, but that they were needed to make the new team viable. I would however like to say that I think they are a hell of a lot more than viable. Fucking sexy lineup.

BW is a full time job, you cant 50/50 bw/sc2, the level of modern broodwar players is so high that any players who consider doing anything else than broodwar 24/24 is dead in this extreme competitive environment.
No news said sc1 players were mass switching, it was all rumors and stated as such. A lot of people just tl;dr threads and then spread false informations, i guess this it what happened.

I think kt still can use another terran just in case flash hand isn't really doing that well ...
Midas, Shine, and Ruby are way too good to retire. They need to find a team, asap.
But that's the problem of only 8 teams. Not enough room to spread out existing talent while still allowing rookies and up and comers to play. I know there's Dream League, but it's not the same as letting new pros take a shot at A-class players.
Khan and STX better get some combination of Midas, Shine, Ruby, and Hiya. I wouldn't mind Woongjin picking up one of them either. CJ, SKT1, New Team, KT, are too stacked as it is. For the sake of parity and competition hopefully things get balanced out.

I really hope Saint can become a coach. But if that doesn't happen then I expect him to enter university. When he was young he wanted to be a history teacher. It's the rookies that I'm most concerned about, specifically Check and Wow. I hope that they can continue pro-gaming if they desire to.

I'd like to state that by having Sea on the same team as jaedong - teams would be more reluctant/cautious to send zergs to ZvZ snipe jaedong in the ace match (JvZ aint what it used to be in a long time). Which pretty much happened for the whole of SPL10-11. The zergs I'm referring to are more along the lines of modesty, s2 and great : P
Of course this all depends on the Kespa coaching staff in their ace selections and a million other factors.

how are we imbalanced ... I am not sure if my zerg players will carry their winning spirits T_T , I am crossing my finger hoping that my zerg line hoejja, action, perfective and crazy hydra doesn't fail me...
Someone said in the "BW teams playing SC2" thread that BW players are playing both SC1 and SC2 because they don't know whether Kespa will introduce SC2 to proleague. So they're just covering their bases. Since there are no major tourneys going on, they can afford to dabble in SC2 right now. If proleague remains BW, I'm pretty sure they (or the teams' core at least) will then concentrate back on BW.
On November 06 2011 22:10 blubbdavid wrote: Killer team. And KT is imbalanced, anyone who objects probably has a KT icon.
yeahhh we are imbalanced,I mean we have a solid T and Z lineup, but not so much on protoss, that is imbalanced.
If my memory doesnt fail me Flash's P isnt that bad...just give him a funny hat and send him out twice
I'm sad while writing this because nobody knows how good will he be after that surgery I really hope he gets his God status back in full force!
Hiya could go to CJ...make Skyhigh and BByong and Rush (wtf I forgot the name TT) work harder for CJ's 2nd T spot after Leta. Then again that would just be overkill....and most of them would be unhappy not having that much playing time and probably the salary not up to par either due to huge lineup.

Nothing special I'd guess?
I hope you're right. I dont like Turn much but Im always impressed by Reality's games and it would be a shame to lose such a player (or at least someone with a lot of potential) to something like smurfing...
Khan ought to pick up HiyA. Right now they are a pretty one dimensional team with only good protosses and one decent zerg. All their terrans are really unreliable.
I really hope Midas will find a team. He's one of my favorite players. Would love KT to pick him up though it is highly unlikely. Now that they picked Mind, they have Flash, Mind and Barracks. They don't need another Terran...

Maybe Jaedong, Sea, Baby, Killer, Jaehoon and Tyson will all peak this season.
This is ridiculous how KT always get new players, the way they got Action one day and turned him from a promising newbie to some embarrassment. The same will happen to Wooki, fuck!
SKT doesn't really need new players. Their Zerg line isn't fantastic, but they are solid / okish. S2 is a good ZvZ and ZvP player, Soo is a ZvP sniper, Hyuk is Hyuk.
On November 11 2011 12:02 kNyTTyM wrote: throw enough darts and you might hit the bulls eye. Don't forget they bought thezerg and he was a complete flop
I've got high hopes for Jaedong in this PL.... i believe his vP would be the best winrate in the game if he was matched up with the level of opponents that Bisu does for ZvP. He only played 10 of them the entire non-WL season, and when he did play the other team appeared to nearly always have intended it. In 2 years he only dropped games to Stork and Bisu, 2010 he had 80% even though it was all top players and individual league play. Now he finally has a team where he won't be sent out 100% predictably, the fact that he has the winrates he does despite being probably the biggest target of sniping is ridiculous.
I hope he practices it more and change his style a bit though; i watched all his vP games again and everytime he loses it's due to overly greedy play and going muta. Yet when he goes standard 5hatch hydra he looks like he completely dominates? He's always trying to get a 4th base before any units, and often doing a ling runby and wasting lings he needs to defend his greed. Then to go muta after that or attempt to tech to hive and still trying to cut corners.. i don't get it. Why go to lengths to try and get a macro lead on a P who cannot go past 2base safely, 3hatch spire into 5hatch muta still works fine.. if any good player knows i'd like to know since his choices seem nonsensical.
Don't know what he can do about his ZvZ unfortunately it seemed like muta control was the problem...

You haven't been watching MBC Hero games last season, it seems.
I don't understand SKT's decision to draft 2 Zergs with >40% win rates when they already have so many mediocre Zerg players. More punching bags for the insatiable Bisu?
