Hello TL get hyped - our 3rd ex-pro stream is on the way. Bgvrt and I still need more testing but its coming very soon! once I have everything set up, I will edit the thread.
This guy really needs to go all 1a2a3a on us with a webcam on. Oh btw, does anyone think that this guy would look absolutely more hilarious if he had a thin mustache. rofl
Seriously if you missed the stream today, you missed out on a lot. This guy does Q&A about the game, he explains why different styles are good on a level that we just plain old don't have access to on a daily basis.
Ex-pro hwaiting! Keep 'em here and keep 'em coming
*Edit* also thank you very much to our dedicated stream translators who are making sure we get all this gosu information straight from the source. You know who you are.

Did anyone take notes of what was said, similar to what fold, harem and I did on Eagle's stream ?

Second this. It's hard to always be watching, so it's a godsend when people post insights in these threads.

We were unable to take notes basically because we didn't have much in the way of translation happening while he was streaming. I think the actual phrases we got were something like:
"I prefer 3 base spire at higher levels because of scourge out earlier to deal with corsair harassment on overlords. This is also better in contrast to 4 hatch before gas style because getting so many early hydras hurts your economy."
and that was about all that we got. Anything else he said is lost

We really need a way to support him. He does this for a living and he pulls extra-long streams when he needs some extra income from donations. He just completed an 18.5 hour-long broadcast non-stop. He played so many games as all 3 races and displayed just about every build in anyone's arsenal.
Also... he dumped his mop bucket on his head when he got 119 balloons.

Maybe some korean can set up a chipin for him like eagle has one but this time make sure the money actually goes directly to larva's paypal account.

Trust, I'm 'bout just as bummed out as you are.
No, I mean, I don't understand. What's gone on?
Well from what I have gathered, he was showing his usual self in the Live Cam in the stream, doing his thing. Then CarlMikael made an observation that the man was crying all the sudden. At that instance, I've tuned in to his stream, seeing Larva starting a StarCraft 2 game! Not only he wasn't hyper as usual but he was dead silence. Moments later as he kept playing, his streams just abruptly went offline for no apparent reason and hasn't been online ever since!
Idk what happened but I bet it does have to be about the ProLeague transition going on or he read something from his chatroom that disturb his mental state.

Okay you don't understand the situation. SNM said that because of some specific event, Larva lost many viewers.

The foreign-stream shutoff incident was because it was lagging his stream, and shut it off so that korean viewers can see him play sc2.
STILL NOT SURE what happened exactly, all I remember is him bitching at couple of people few days ago, and actually being mad at something.
This protoss who just played against larva and annihilated him was Bisu? Indeed he plays bw on 26 Bisu FanTaSy ParalyzE soO vs Canata GooJila its OriOn

Also there was a moment when Larva's Mom came in and hit him in the head but larva act like nothing happend and continue to play with red face of shy lol

So according to unverified sources Larva accidentaly fell from a 2 store building and is/was in the hospital. He told his chat mods to say it was a car accident cuz he was ashamed.
...idk when this is from but LOL
Anyway let's hope if it ever happened it really was just an accident eh? ._.
Hopefully this is an alright bump, doesn't look like there's another Larva Stream thread anywhere.
Does anyone know what's going on on Larva's stream right now??
Seems like he's doing some sort of challenge where he gets +2 points for an off race win, +1 point for Zerg win and -1 point for a loss. But I don't speak Korean and it's all written in a notepad document so I'm quite confused haha.

Also, Larva is streaming whatever the challenge is again. I'd still really love to know what it's about if we have anyone who could read the notepad doc he pulls up and inform us

39 games remain 1. 100 per game 2. going to pt time exercise (idk lol) 3. if you win its -2 games 4. its +1 game on loss 5. gamer beat -3 games 6. shield poong 101 -1game 7. if beat flash then -5game special ladder mission first 30 games 1 ladder 1000 +mission

Haha thanks for helping with it! Definitely makes more sense than it did before. 2, 5, 6 and the mission part are still a bit confusing lol
So, judging from that and what I’ve seen on stream, I gather that for every 100 balloons donated by viewers he adds one ladder game. Then the conditions below are for him to “complete”games. And I assume theres some incentive if he gets it down to 0 (1000 balloons maybe?) cool stuff though.
I like that it’s giving him a reason to play ladder. I find watching ladder games to be the most enjoyable and useful to improve from.
Larva is currently teaching a 500MMR player on his stream. It's pretty epic to watch, I highly recommend checking it out!
The 500MMR player was spamming like crazy to get 300 APM at the start of the game and Larva was like "naw naw naw, cut that out!" Then his actual APM is about 100 xD

Don't know Korean well enough to translate word for word, but the basic premise is that larva's younger brother gets banned from Overwatch for hacking :D Wish I could understand more cause already it's one of the funniets vids I saw in a long time :D

Larva just played a very sick game on Blue Storm against Shuttle. I was really wowed by it. He was behind from 7 minutes but made do w/ just 1 evo chamber worth of upgrades and lair tech for 20 minutes of the game. He had incredible army control and resource management.
Edit: I'm pretty impressed by his style. It's really straight forward and macro oriented.

You just watched on stream? Or can you link to the video?
That was nothing. I used to have the link to it but Larva played a vs a Protoss on HBR and got wrecked early game and incredibly hung on to win. Larva was @ the left hand position and it was played like 2-3 weeks ago - that's about all the info I have. It was posted on his YT channel.

Has Larva said anything about why he is not playing in the ASL S6 Wild Card qualifier with Flash, Mind, and Shuttle? He's not listed as being part of the filler qualifier for Hero's seed.

Sugo said that Larva said something about too much stress right now.
and also a ZvT on Blue Storm against a player named sddffagdsfsas i went on starlog.gg and it seems his main race is zerg i'm not sure about this guy either does anyone know?
He played some TvPs against Britney, Bo3s I think, and lost... Britney constantly mocking him, sometimes Larva gets close, wins one game, but it's painful to watch most of the lategames.
Larva plays Protoss!!! He is doing this for quite a few months now.
In this video you will see:
scouts vs. devourers & guardians dark archons using feedback, mind control and mealstrom many times both sides taking and loosing the center map base in fighting spirit larva double base control zerg & protoss
Larva's protoss handling is truly impressive. Looking at this match he could have made more corsairs though, there were plenty of times where they could have saved his dark templars, but the bigest shocker was how he amassed a combined zerg & protoss army for the final attack.
If this had been an ASL/KSL match, Artosis would have had the biggest nerd chills in his life, there are so many awesome things to see in this match. Must watch!
Larva's biggest weakness is drop play. I think Flash goes heavy drops is a wise idea if he's able to shut down defilers without them (snipes with marines etc...).
good drop play from the pros is really frightening and hard to deal with in general, it requires much more effort (no pun intended) on the zerg side to shut them down with minimal losses and delay in mining time. even players like effort and sk struggle against it from time to time.
It looked to me like Larva was very behind after the bunker rush, so to me it seemed like he actually defended extremely well against the heavy rain of dropships. I see a lot of progress in his play, he seems to catch up to Flash.
No need to learn anything. Larva sucks and will suck forever. He will never be champion! Mark my words. He can earn whatever the fuck summ from streaming. But he is not a champion and never will be.
Wow, our dear Larva won KCM race winning 3games in a row, vs Sharp, Rush and FlaSh!! Game vs FlaSh was very close, from FlaSh's stream i know that mistake was to forgot about weapons upgrade at some point.

That wasn't the point. Streaming is a personal choice and i respect that. The man has a family and a fanbase. Doesn't really make him less of a player.
Larva has improved so much, it's unbelievable. First he dismantled the TvZ late mech transition to the point where terrans are afraid of using it and actively avoid going into late game with zerg, and now he's even starting to win straight up hyper aggressive games against Flash, which was and probably still is his weakest point in that matchup. His inexperience with fancy openings, sharply timed attacks and dropship harassment is diminishing very rapidly. Dude's extremely creative, too. Flash is having to adapt to some really smart positional plays. Of course Flash is still the better player, but to me it looks like the gap is starting to close.

larva wins 1 out of 20 games vs flash these days.
Always been like this. I've noticed that Larva's micro in general is actually quite unimpressive for a player as fast as he is.
He can still clobber most players, except Flash/Rain and some Z's.
larva is a good zerg but i feel like hes has pretty much reached his peak potential as a player.
hes probably massed more than 500 games against flash by now and his ability has definitely improved significantly from the sonic era, but his performance against other terrans still seems ok at best and lack of zvz practice (noone wants to watch zvz on stream) has cost him a place in the latter stages of a couple of previous asl/ksl if im not mistaken. (asl4 semis loss to hero and recent ksl ro8 loss to sk)
Larva is playing as Protoss right now. He mind controlled a drone and is trying to stall the game so he can build hydras I guess? It is pretty freaking hilarious.
Does anybody know if this is a viewer challenge or something? These strategies are too troll and funny to be his invention alone
Larva played well, I liked the game vs Bisu, where he ignored the zealot at his third, and went directly toward Bisu's base. And his game vs Ssak seemed weird having produced so many hydras. He sniped some plagued SVs with them.
Due to Larva's (my favorite BW pro) retirement from 1v1, I wanna repost one of the greatest games that resulted from his rivalry with Flash. One of several highlights at 25:50
