I guess it's kind of official right now ? Since I've no clue about korean I might be wrong but the pic looks blatant. Anyone cares to translate the article, please ?
Sorry if it has been already posted, I did a research but found nothing.

Don't close, most ppl won't notice the comment there. It's better tho make a new thread. To make it short, it says that Garimto (Kim Dong-su) has signed a contract with KTF MagicNs, announced on the 23rd. Out of the gamers who has come back to progaming, he has the highest salary. KTF president Kim says "He was a great player, and he's been able to improve a lot and catch up to the rest. He's a person with great leadership skills and since our team has recently enlarged our numbers to 30 (from something like 10) he will be a good role model for the new practice students." Garimto was a progamer for 3 years between 2000 and 2002. He won the 2000 Freechal Starleague and the 2001 SKY Starleague. His stats were 36-30. Garimto says "It's the team with the two best protosses and the best team in eSports history so I chose them" and "I will bring my skills up to level to not disappoint the company". KTF will hold a ceremony on the 26th and Garimto will join the SuperFight as an official member of KTF on the 27th. (but don't expect him to play!)

If this is true this is great news. KTF is a top team and Garimto will get a lot of good practice. I'm not sure how good he'll do though. He's been inactive for so very long, and the skill level for top tier pros has risen quite a bit since his time. I hope he kicks ass though!

Because KTF is a team with a loaded lineup of start players, many of them have individual league schedules and priority over others. If you recall Lx's situation with SKT1, he mentioned that he could hardly practice with anyone on the team b/c everyone was preoccupied with practicing for someone else already in the leagues. Now granted, Garimto is Garimto, and not Lx, so he will be receiving the "preferential treatment" as well... but in general, KTF isnt a team you go to to receive a lot of quality practice. Rather, it really is a place to get top class accomodations and salary. KTF has a certain number of top players, mediocre players, and practice partners. The ratio of the "top" players having to worry about survivor, dual, starleague, MSL, is so much higher than most other teams, that you'd have to think that in general, the average amount of practice partner time available is lower in such an environment. Yellow - Dual preparations Reach - Survivor preparations Chojja - Survivor currently GoodFriend - Survivor and Starlague Currently rA - MSL currently Sync - Survivor Hery - Survivor Aqua - Survivor which literally leaves only 4 players on their roster, + their practice partners, for dependable practice. At least for a non-star player, a team like SKT or KTF can honestly stunt their progress. On top of this KTF players with their guaranteed long term contracts is the house of slumps and low motivation (yellow poker hi). I really felt that he would have been much better served to go into a hungry, young team, even his former team HanbitStars.

First, I don't think anyone made a news about this, but KTF has expanded their team numbers to 30... yes, 30!!! It is now the largest team out of all 11 (or 12). I don't know if those spots are filled yet, but it's gonna happen. So Garimto will never be short on ppl to play with. Second. He's old. As most ppl know by now age difference is a HUGE deal. Even if you're 1 year younger, you treat them as if they're 30 years older. And since Garimto will most likely be one of the oldest, he'll get to boss around almost anyone on the team. So if he says "practice with me" unless you got a REALLY good reason, you gotta do it.

You seem to forget how much respect that name alone commands. Years after his retirement people were saying his name. I honestly am not worried about Garim. I think he will come back and at least hit a top 8 OSL sometime. Come on man.. it's fuckin Garimtoss... You guys have short memories if you forgot who we are talking about. Ra and Reach and Garim on KTF? Get Kingdom on there and you have THE toss legends of old.

Whether or not he can make it back up to the top tier of progaming foremost depends on his motivation as thedeadhaji pointed out. But I'm also going to question his skill in the game. Sure, he was one of the best a few years back, but does he have the ability to be so again? After all, grrr was the greatest player at one point in time and soon fell away. BoxeR stood the test of time but not flawlessly, he was the undisputed no.1 player but dropped down a bit to "top tier player". Competition is just a lot more stiffer than it was in Garimtos heyday and players are more skilled and probably practice more too. I hope Garimto wins another OSL. That would be awesome. But only time will tell if he's REALLY got it.

The roster increases are a good sign. At least KTF is trying something different. I'd like to see some CJesque performance from the guys on this team. It's been a while.

i said it before, but i am not getting tired of repeating it: Kim Dong-Soo returning to SC progaming is better than christmas and birthday in one for me. I hope tosses will rise again and finally beat saviOr up big time. ah well, day-dreaming
